Now Kerry have been crowned Munster Champions we now know Kerry will be placed in Group 1 of the Round Robin and will face Mayo in Killarney in their opening game on the weekend of May 20/21. Mayo have had a bright start under McStay and were crowned worthy league champions. They gave us a proper schooling in Castlebar in February and I'm sure this will be something Jack will want to correct when they come to Killarney. Mayo always seem to flatter to deceive and I think this game will show us more of where Mayo are at rather than Kerry. I like how Kerry are motoring at the moment and seem to be getting their timing right. We looked sharp vs Clare and looked hungry for goals which definitely wasn't the case last year in the Championship. We scored more goals vs Clare (5) than we did in all of last years Championship (3). Kerry will get a proper test from Mayo but I would expect Kerry to get past Mayo and extend our 28 year unbeaten run in Killarney championship games. I am looking forward to a cracker however and hopefully a full house in Killarney.

Whether its significant or not, the RTE website lists all the round robin games as Saturday fixtures for all 4 groups and all 3 rounds.

Sat 20th at 3pm apparently Source? JOHN FOGARTY Irish Examiner The four biggest games over the first two weekends of the Sam Maguire Cup round-robin stages, including Kerry v Mayo and Galway v Tyrone, will be streamed on GAAGO. It had been agreed prior to the Munster winners being drawn at home to Mayo and the Connacht champions entertaining Tyrone that the two most attractive matches would be shown on GAAGO on May 20/21. There are no other football matches being televised that weekend. As the provincial senior hurling championship returns to television screens on May 20 and 21 for the first time in three weeks in the form of Kilkenny v Dublin on Saturday and Clare v Cork and Limerick v Tipperary on Sunday, there are no more available TV slots as per RTÉ’s agreement with the GAA.

A friend of mine text me. Maybe inaccurate? Oh I thought it might be on some GAA website or other, that's all. I'm sure all will be revealed soon enough. John Fogarty's piece is more about TV coverage, it doesn't say when the actual game is on.

The game is confirmed for GAA GO as RTE have the Munster Hurling on the Sunday, which almost guarantees the game will be on the Saturday evening. Time and Ticket prices yet tbc but it will be interesting to see what the CCCC come up with. Hopefully it will be announced this afternoon.

Sat 20th at 3pm apparently Could be correct, reason I say this is because GAA GO will probably do a TV double header with Galway vs Tyrone & Kerry v Mayo.. Usually TV double headers are 5pm & 7pm but seeings that neither Salthill or Killarney have floodlighting. Neither game could really throw in at 7pm (due to sunlight) meaning it could well be a 3pm or 5pm throw in on the Saturday.

I'm not sure what the GAA are at but not showing Kerry v Mayo on TV is bizarre. They have Munster Hurling on RTE that weekend (Tipp v Limerick & Clare vs Cork). They were never gonna pick the Football over those games especially with that being the penultimate weekend in the Munster Hurling Championship. I would be hoping though that RTE will show some of the Round Robin but it probably won't be until the June bank holiday at the earliest if I was to guess.

GAAGO have the rights to the Saturday Round Robin games like Sky had rights to the Saturday Qualifiers and Hurling Games. Same package only different provider. RTE will only get Sunday Round Robin games that don't clash with their Hurling schedule which won't happen until June. I'm not backing up RTE, I think its a joke that they only have 35 exclusive games whilst GAAGO have 38 exclusive games. What makes it worse is RTE have 50% of GAAGO while the GAA have the other 50%.

First off gaa go is brutal it just doesnt work properly. After the league game in castlebar i was hoping we would meet mayo again there will be great motivation to overturn the result that day. Strangely after that game i was thinking good this is money in the bank re motivation for next time we meet them!

Kerry will want to show Mayo who the real big dogs are and the last place we'll want to be beaten is in Killarney.

When will tickets go on sale do you reckon guys?
If the weather is good you'd expect it to be close to a sell out, certainly was in 2019. The Killarney hostelries are licking their lips anyway, Cork might have denied us a home Munster final day out but this will make up for it!

Difference with League of Ireland fans is if they don't pay for it the services will cease to exist so that incentive is there. Gaa fans would prefer it on tv to streaming as TV is the alternative whereas league of ireland it is no coverage.

This is another side effect the split season so many games in a short period. I used GAA go for the Tipp game and I honestly thought it was pretty poor for the cost. I know you cam stream on a smart TV bit many people can't do that so are they expecting older folks to watch on their phones ? Kerry V Mayo is a show piece game especially with the new structures and its not available, Makes no sense to me.

One problem I have with GAAGO is the €12 cost for the single game. €79 is probably reasonable (€59 for the early purchasers) for 38 games. Just works out at about €2.08 per game. But to increase that by nearly 600% per game if they don't buy the package is wrong. €12 for a day pass or else €7 per game would be better value in my opinion.

The picture was sh*te and the commentary was simply amateurish and inane. Not good enough when you're paying €12 for the privilege - you wouldn't accept a watery screen in the cinema for example.
