How did Kerrigan escape without a getting a red card. Not once but twice he had two " assaults" on Gavin White. The second one, shoulder into the head, was typical of the guy.
Why Daithi Casey didn't floor him when he had his fist closed I'll never know.
Anyway the best team won in the bog.

Can't agree with that to be fair,1st one was accidental,Second one he was going for a fair shoulder and timed it incorrectly,Thought O'Leary should of seen red for his 1st booking. Thought John Payne had an excellent game,He stopped 3 clear goals in the 1st half and should of been moved onto Conolly,I don't think i have ever seen the man come out second on a man marking job and has been MOTM numerous times in the past 20 months or so,I dont care what age he is,I feel he is worth a look in NFL. Both Gavin White & Murphy looked again today to be real options for Kerry this year add to that Burns (although poor today) Buckley and Fionn it should be a good backbone of Crokes lads again for Kerry. Crokes just never came out of the dressing rooms today,Too many below par performances notably from Gooch and O'Leary. They have represented Kerry excellently as champions the past few years and seeing them win in Croker last March was a joy,They play a beautiful brand of football and have raised the bar for all senior clubs in Kerry. Have been worthy All Ireland Champions and with the hunger back next September for the county championship only a fool would write them off to do it all again

I see it is being reported in the media that Jack O'Connor has a background training role with Moorefield.

Hurlingman - If you look back on your previous comments in this thread, it blatantly points toward a hatred for Crokes. It stinks and the lack of support for Crokes on this forum, only by a handful it must be said, is very disheartening to be honest. You will have your genuine supporters but you also always have your begrudgers. I saw people from around the county travel to Pairc Ui Rinn yesterday and support Crokes, it was satisfying to see. It is the honourable thing to do and a good characteristic in a person that you can side with whatever rivalry or history you have with a club and support them while they represent your county.
Crokes are an aggressive team there is no doubt about that, both in the tackle and offensively. One thing they are not is cynical. Sometimes, Crokes can be over aggressive and this is up to the officials to deal with it in the appropriate manner, which mostly they do. Yesterday, Kieran O Leary deserved to walk and the referee called it right. With the intensity and pace of provincial club matches, it is inevitable there will be yellow cards, black cards and sending offs. Crokes have plenty of players who can mix it up in the physical stakes, striking a balance between these and the more technically gifted players is crucial. Normally good teams have this balance, we have had it with Kerry throughout our successful teams.
Pitch was disgraceful in all honesty but it was the same for both sides. There can be no arguments with yesterday, Nemo were comfortably the better team and deserved to win by more. They looked fresher, and they won the tactical battle on the side line. Paddy Gumley, looked a lovely player. He kicked a few wonderful scores, the one at the start of the second half had to be applauded. I have never heard of him before though? Luke Connolly was probably as amazed as the rest of us that Pat O Shea persisted with Luke Quinn on him for the majority of the game. Saying that, some of the scores he kicked from placed balls and from play were from the top drawer. Best of luck to Nemo going forward. The Crokes players, management team and the club in general have poured their heart and souls into the last 2 campaigns and they should be commended for it.

Gumley is an immigrant from Cavan, joined a couple of seasons ago. He has played intercounty for them in the past. He's 32/33 now.

Grumley is a cavan native, used to play his football in cavan and was advised to retire a few years ago due to a medical issue. I think he is around 35 now. Anyway he came down to cork and started off with the nemo junior c team before working his way up. He caused a lot of damage yesterday. I think the ulster champs will win it out now, they never performed in the final last year and had a man sent off

While I agree with most of your post Hugh20 Crokes were quite cynical in the club final in March especially the 2nd half. Unfortunately this is becoming a common theme in football now with Dublin in the AI final and indeed Nemo yesterday as well. Gavin white was certainly targeted a few times in the 2nd half yesterday. In both instances the ref took the easy way out and booked a player from both sides. Kerrigan and O'Donovan could both have gotten red cards for the 2nd incident. Kerrigan's was high and dangerous (maybe not deliberate) but O'Donovan came in afterwards and gave him a dig in the head while he was on the ground and then pinned him to the ground. It's hard to know what the solution is to these type of incidents but something needs to be done before it destroys all big games.

I would not be a big fan of Crokes generally within Kerry as familiarity breeds contempt. The East Kerry championship issue looked bad, but I don't know the ins and outs. But I found myself cheering for them yesterday - they were representing our championship. Some of they're players have given great service to the green and gold and as a county we don't have as much success in the AI Senior Club competition.
What amazed me as I was leaving the ground yesterday was seeing, behind the goal standing on the terrace was a guy with a professionally-made sign "Justice for the Crokes 15"☺. Did anyone else see that? Sad. Why someone would go to the trouble of getting a sign made like that I don't know. A lot of bitterness toward them for sure but if I was from the greater Killarney area I might have a different perspective.

Crokes have set the bar for other Kerry clubs - their structures and success are highly commendable.
They have learnt how to compete at the highest levels and have experienced the pain and ecstasy of big days out. Whether one calls some of the characteristics they have developed to achieve their success cynical or experience probably depends on whether you have been on the receiving end or not. To win at the highest level requires some level of what's commonly called the dark arts.
Crokes are not a dark arts team but neither are they angels - they have an edge when required. if my club mirrored Crokes I would have no problem with it. The only (recent) characteristic they have developed is the behaviour of some mentors on the sideline and this intimidation is the one feature that I hate seeing in any team.

Ballyboden won the 2016 All Ireland club final with a great display v Castlebar.
But Ballyboden were lucky in the extreme to be in the final. Their equlizing point after 60 odd minutes v Clonmel should never have stood. Clonmel could and should have been in the final.
How did Clonmel reach the semi final..... via a last minute goal v Nemo.
Nemo hardly disimproved since 2016 with Luke Connolly and a few more getting older.
Has any team since Crossmaglen retained it?
All in all, Nemo's win is hardly a shock

Crokes are a strong competitive but clean team. But so are Nemo, and they beat Crokes perfectly fairly. While that tackle on Gavin was dangerous, I believe that it was reckless desperation rather than intentional. I have seen Kerrigan in action often, great player whose clinical incision isn't quite matched by execution, but that tackle was certainly not 'typical' of him. Everyone has the right to an opinion; mine is that comment was very unfair. I am neither a Croke (Spa, and I have often cheered Spa against Crokes) and obviously not Nemo (there's a Latin joke in there if I was being childish). Crokes made mistakes yesterday, it happens. It detracts nothing from their great achievements. Johnny lifting the cup with Amy last year was one of the greatest sporting highlights and one of the classiest things I have ever seen. That 'Justice for the Crokes 15' thing was ridiculous nonsense and whoever did it should be highly embarrassed, but I can't imagine the club would ever be so foolish. A great team played superbly yesterday and won; a great team played below their own standards and lost deservedly. That's all that happened in Pairc ui Rinn yesterday. Everything else is self-important side show. My take is Best wishes to Nemo going forward. And if they win it out? Fair play, it'll raise the standard for Kerry champions next year. Grand, I'll always welcome that.

Get your head out of the sand. One of if not the most cynical teams around. In the refs face when anything goes against. Kieran O Leary's actions yesterday are something that they've been doing for years. Like i said great men to dish it out not so great when its given back, much like some of their fans in fact. It's not too dissimilar to the Dublin love in, no one can say a word against them as they play the ''right way''

Crokes would not have beaten Slaughtneil anyway had they won yesterday - I think it’s Slaughtneils to win this year
As for dark arts Crokes have undoubtedly introduced it to their game strategy since prior losses in the AI series - so they’re not really in a position to complain if Nemo brought it to them yesterday

Without wishing to belabour a point, Nemo won fair and square. Just as Crokes did last year. Grand, that happens. Am I missing something? Is anyone arguing anything else? Respectfully, there seems to be some narrative that I'm missingoing. Nero were brilliant, Crokes were not. It happens. There seems to be a lot of soap opera stuff going on, nothing more.

Any chance at all to have a cut off the Crokes you'll jump at it, that level of anger and vitriol is worrying, you should go to counselling, it's not healthy for a man of your age. I haven't interacted with you here in years as I've better things to be doing with my time than arguing on the internet, yet you still clearly hold a grudge over some internet postings on the Kerry Intermediate Hurling championship from years ago. You have some serious issues to deal with.
