Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final – Kerry v Clare Kerry will play Clare in the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final on Saturday June 10th or Sunday June 11th at Cusack Park Ennis.
Date permutations If Clare and Limerick draw in the Munster Senior Hurling Semi-Final on June 4th, the replay will be on Sunday June 11th.
In that event, the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final between Clare and Kerry will take place on Saturday June 10th in Cusack Park Ennis. Otherwise, the Munster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final between Clare and Kerry will take place on Sunday June 11th in Cusack Park Ennis.

It is preposterous that less than two weeks before this game we are not sure of the precise date. Seemingly, it depends on the outcome of the Clare/Limerick hurling match. Could they not decide that the putative replay of that match will definitely be on the following Sunday for example which would enable us to home in on the 10/06/17 as the certain date for the Kerry/Clare game ,so that supporters can make their arrangements accordingly. But I suppose the convenience of supporters is only of marginal importance.
Incidentally, would not the appropriate approach be to replay a particular drawn match on the following Saturday and free up the Sunday for the football match. Of course, the precious "hurling man myself" on the Munster council could never stomach that suggestion. Let the bog men play their game on a Saturday , the date of which we will determine at our convenience.

Clubs wont know until next Sunday what day they will be playing the following weekend. People might need to arrange time off work which might not be easy to do at such short notice.

Are all Kerry players suddenly available again after their spate of recent injuries?

Or we lose and go through the back door We would have to lose to Clare, if we lost the Munster final we'd be in the final round of the qualifiers which is neutral (like when we played Antrim in Tullamore).

I can see this game being a bit tighter than expected.
Clare beat Down and Cork in the league (Cork by 8 points) and drew with Derry. Both the games they won were at home. Meath and Galway beat them fairly well and Fermanagh handily enough, but they only lost by a point to Kildare away.
They also have the advantage of having a proper championship game against Limerick out of the way, as opposed to Kerry who's league final win was months back. Clare being at home is a big plus to their chances.

Limerick wouldn't be up to much so that game wouldn't count for much imo. I expect we will still have some rust and Clare will be pumped and play well, we should still have way too much. Minimum 6 points.

Minimum 6 points. Those sides might have no chance of winning Sam, but what they show is that this is the best Clare side in a long time. As for the Limerick game - I think the final scoreline might be a bit misleading - Clare were up by 6 points with 10 minutes to go but Limerick went on a scoring run (fueled by a very soft goal courtesy of the Clare keeper) to narrow the gap. I think this was likely related to the lack of depth of subs on Clare's bench, which I think is a major issue for them. They still managed to battle through and get over the line. In 2014 Clare had to go to a replay to get past Waterford, and the final margin against Kerry in Ennis was 4 points.

We beat Clare by 12 points in Munster last year and people said it was a bad performance. Clare are improving but it shouldn't be much of a contest, though a battle would stand to us it wouldn't be a good sign of us either.

Hi all
Long time reader but first time poster. Really enjoyed the input from everyone on here over the years.
Have recently moved to the Kingdom but am not from these islands originally.
Going to the match next week but wouldn't know Ennis at all. Can anyone provide any tips for someone driving up and down in terms of where to park and grab a bite to eat/drink before the game that's relatively close to the ground? Guessing it might be worth hanging around after for a little while to let the traffic die down or should it be handy enough to get out of Ennis after the match?
Thanks in advance!

So Kerry are out this Sunday after our hurling overlords didn't draw today. Are we not the lucky ones to be given a definite date a full week before the match! Plenty of time to plan work arrangements , arrange babyminders , indeed plan flights etc. We are even given a Sunday slot. Time to genuflect before our betters.

Also I think there will be young blood in there - probably O'Beaglaoich.

Cusack Park is right in the town centre and parking in the immediate vicinity is limited enough. There were plans to sell it and develop a pitch out of town but they never came to pass. Traffic in the town centre is one way with narrow streets. There's a few supermarket car parks (Tesco, Aldi) but from what I remember from 2014 they're pretty well patrolled to keep them strictly for shoppers. Dunnes has a multi-storey if you're prepared to pay. Best advice might be, arrive early, park on the outskirts of town and walk in. If you're coming from the Limerick side bear in mind to have change for the toll at the tunnel.

I spotted the shop car parks on Google Street view but thought they might be out of bounds. Saw an online report also that 60 cars parked for a league my were ticketed. So it might be Dunnes and payment as my travelling companion doesn't do long walks!
