I was very disappointed to hear that two glenbeigh players refused to tog out in today's clash with Laune Rangers, this sport is all about teams and unity between players, selectors and supporters. Every player will be disappointed at being dropped or taken off but to refuse to tog out is letting everyone down, team mates, selectors & trainer that's unforgivable. Glenbeigh is a small club that have made massive steps in the last few years but with guys like this on your team you have to wonder how you can progress. Fair play to the guys that did tog out and despite several injuries and guys that didn't bother to tog out they put up a good performance.

Very poor display by Glenbeigh/Glencar, a bad end to a year that promised so much for them. Hopefully they will steady the ship and drive on again in 2015. Of the game on Saturday, apart from Fergal Griffin, Pa Kilkenny and Danny O'Sullivan and Darran before he went off the performance was below par. Spud murphy tried hard but gave away alot of ball. Laune Rangers looked impressive. Kicked only a couple of wides. Subs that came on tried very hard also even though the match was over. Milltown still the team to beat IMO

Not from glenbeigh but it would be a shame if they let all the good work they have done over the last couple of years go to waste over a bad result and in fighting saw them on Saturday and they really looked like a team that wanted their season all over including the sideline.

I heard the ref got the starting time wrong maybe sour grapes from a Beaufort point of view but he was truly shocking more than a few unbelievable decisions against Beaufort. frees one end were free outs the other end Beaufort players pulled for travelling twice when clearly being fouled just two examples, well done to Milltown did what they had to do in an even contest but surely both teams deserve better officiating from a so called neutral referee

Was at the Keel Rangers match yesterday - good game considering time of year - Rangers having been outplayed for long stages should really have won it in last 10 minutes - they had plenty of chances but hit the panic button a little early I feel. One feature was the excellent goalkeeping on both sides by keepers in different stages of their careers lets say - Lyons for Rangers pulled off 2 great saves in both halves while young Luke Flynn made a great save also at a vital stage in the 2nd half. MFR still playing well for Rangers while the two midfielders for Keel were excellent Long and Ladden. Gary Sayers a quality player for Keel also. Milltown will have enough of it from Keel in the final - talks of Stephens Day for the final.

Any thoughts on this one?? I think Milltown by a point or two but wouldn't be surprised if Keel pulled through if they can repeat the form of their semi win over Rangers

Miltown/Castlemaine are Mid Kerry Champions defeating Keel today 1-11 to 0-06. The Killorglin Pipe-Band lead the teams in the parade along with Cillian Burke (son of Mike Burke Capt) who lead his team Miltown/Castlemaine while Ciara Murphy (All Ireland U14 winner & Aaron Murphys sister) lead her club team Keel. This game was played in dry but cold conditions in J P O'Sullivan Park today. A very slow start to both sides taking 10 minutes for the first score of the game off the boot of Gary Sayers Keel, which was their last for 13 minutes as Miltown/Castlemaine took over and scored 1-04 without reply - Cathal Moriarty 1-01 Marcus Mangan 0-01 (f), Donal Kelleher & Ian Twiss 0-01 each. With Miltown/Castlemaine taking control of the game Keel needed a score which Liam O'Shea obliged with the white flag but this was cancelled out with a Ciaran Kelliher M/C point. On the 28th minute Gary Sayers added another point to his tally from a free. Just before the half time whistle we saw 2 points from either side Derek Twiss M/C & Liam O'Shea 0-01 each. Half time score Keel 0-04 Miltown/Castlemaine 1-06. Miltown/Castlemaine started off this half as they finished the first with 2 points from Derek Twiss Point (f) & Ian Twiss (p). Keel were struggling to get back into the game and were well beaten all over the field, on the quarter mark Gary Sayers added another point for Keel. 10 mins gone in this half saw a 6pt lead for Miltown/Castlemaine, who started making changes Jonathan O'Sullivan replaced the injured Ian Twiss & Stephen Roche replaced Jeremiah Hayes. Miltown/Castlemaine ploughed on with 3 more points from the boot of Derek Twiss (2p 1f), to count down the clock Miltown/Castlemaine made 2 more subs Brendan Delaney came on for Ciaran Kelleher & Mark Wrenn replaced his brother Pa. just before the final whistle Gary Sayers got a consolation point for Keel but it wasn't enough and Miltown/Castlemaine ran out winners with 8pts to spare. Michael Sayers Chairman presented the Michael O'Connor Memorial Cup to Capt Mike Burke Joe Long of Jack Duggans Bar Castlemaine sponsors presented the Man of the Match award to Donal Kelleher.
