As much of a legend the man is, I dont think the Gaeltacht will be too happy with this decision. Although he did not tog for the West outfit all year, with them clutching at straws to stay in division 3 it is clear his experience could be used there to bring on the younger lads. #OneLifeTwoClubs??

I think it has been the case with the 3 Osè's great servants to the kerry Jersey but when it came to the club no real interest once they had retired from kerry .. Marc decided to go on a holiday rather than try help west kerry in county championship

One round trip from Ard an Bothar to Cork City is 5 hours in a car. He's probably given the guts of 30 years of service to the club already and probably close enough to 20 years as a senior in addition to his service he has given to Kerry at intercounty level. People throwing snide digs at him should really cop on.

Good solid grounded post Give. We don't know what else is going on behind the scenes, nor is it our place to criticize Tomas in his right to make such a decision. I think we've seen enough of the bottomless pit of character of the man for over 15 years to do him a disservice by jumping to conclusions and making assumptions without having such, asserted from the man himself/men themselves

Tomas has spoken about his commitment or otherwise to the club last year when he retired.

Ah lads, his son plays with Nemo and to move at this stage is sensible, it doesn't change my view of the stalwart that he was, is, and he owes us nothing! I wish him many happy years of playing as long as his legs carry him around.

Tomas OSe couldn't have done more for Kerry. It is now time for his family. Good luck to you Sir.

fellows that criticize him joining nemo would seriously want to get a life, he can surely do what he likes at this stage of his life & at the end of the day its his own business.Just be grateful that neither he or his brothers were born in Cork!!!

more importantly...any chance of getting the young lad into the Kerry jersey in the future

Best of Luck Tomas, he owes Kerry football nothing. Nemo should get a good season or two out of him.

With all this talk of him coming home for the last number of years - it would be interesting to know how many training sessions back west he made, or did he travel for 9 months of the year and pop down for the games once that third Sunday in September was looked after?
It is clear he gave commitment to the county but i feel he still owes his club a year or 2 of 'FULL' commitment with no intercounty football getting in the way - helping them maybe to get out of Division 4 that they look likelly to fall to.

I really dont like Nemo Rangers. I wonder is that subconsciously just because Billy Morgan is involved with them. They are the equivalent of St Vincents up here.

Morgan is not the worst of them. As a player and later as manager many years ago he had one attitude. But since then IMO he has shown a lot of respect for Kerry football and has been very fair to Kery players playing with UCC.

Morgan is grand. Hated Kerry but what harm, he was consistent about it and you knew where you stood. Kerry v Cork was all the more fun for it. Better a Billy than a Brolly any day.
