I always find it interesting how our fans get to Dublin on AI Final Weekend....Fair enough if you get a ticket, how do you get there!! - Aer Arann ran a special flight from Kerry airport for the Semi Final against Dublin, something to the tone of 40€ for a ticket. I assume that scheduled Flights will be running as normal (and more than likely full !) for the final, possibly they will operate another special service or 2(!) for the occasion ,I'm sure demand will surplus supply either way!
- I can see the Trains being a disaster with both Cork and Kerry being involved, the maximum amount of special train services we will get down here will be 3 as a similar amount will be leaving from Cork( Kent & Mallow ). Also the 2 scheduled morning Dublin trains from Cork & Tralee will be running. Thats 8 trains at most, sounds alot and the fact that these trains will be running on the same line will create a headache for Iarnród Eireann ( Keep an EYE on irishrail.ie for info, they sell out ridiculously quick!)
- Then theres the option of the long haul drive. In fairness it has improved greatly with the good roads leading to the capital but expect a mass exodus from both counties that morning.Whoever isn't on a train/Plane will be using the roads,be it in cars, vans, mini buses or Buses!

Plane and unfortunately as was the case last Sunday a swift departure to Dublin Airport to catch return flight. Luxuriated in a couple of pints whilst perusing the match programme. Kept getting interrupted by returning holiday-makers etc looking for the result!
I must say nicest couple of pints I had in a long while - of course discussed match again with a good sprinkling of other Kerry supporters also at the airport.

Iarnrod Eireann operate on the basis of - you ring them, you find out, you tell your friends who tell their friends.....Duirt bean liom go nduirt bean lei.....
The trains will always sell out, so why bother spending money on radio adverts they reckon.....and they're right.
As my mother always says, if you don't know, ring up and find out.

10 minute bus ride to city centre and walk up. The main advantage of living up here - apart from sticking it to the dubs in work last Monday ;D

I was told via e-mail that they wouldn't go on sale til the week of the match.... I will believe that when I see it. They'll be on sale and sold out before the blink of an eye and I'll be more believing of Ronjon50 to be honest.
200 tickets left on the train up for the camogie.......

Right, I rang.....
The weekend tickets - up Friday, down Monday, and up Saturday, down Monday, are on sale now.
The day tickets are not on sale yet and won't be for at least the next 18 hours.
Put it this way - ring 066-7123522 twice a day and you'll be grand.

Ya that sounds about right stacks, but irish rail cant be trusted. They dont care who loses out, once they sell all there tickets. They could put them on sale any time. i heard that some cork tickets, not sure for what game were put on sale at 12 o clock at night and were sold out by 8 o clock the next morning so well just have to keep alert really.

Walter remember a certain Air Coach experience on a Saturday morning after a piss up in Cork last year going up for the Cork match... I thought my life was going to end that day.. I swore on that day that i d never travel by bus again.. the smell off drink of me would have knocked a horse or killed the Spainish lad sitting opposite me

Tickets on sale at 8.50, sold out at 9.30. Excellent result that all the Kerry trains go straight to Connolly, no hassle of getting across the city but could be a rush to make the trains after the match
