Below in West Cork, on the t.v. What was it like? Only okay. It was a poor enough game at times. Dublin played as I expected them to play. All the off the ball stuff and afters was frustrating to watch, but then again, if I was Declan O' Sullivan I might have wanted to clock a fella or two as well (not suggesting he did, but I probably would have) Bryan Sheehan's free was worth missing the hour and a half at the beach for. Thought it might have been curtains with Darragh went off, but ye held it together. I'm still bothered by the fact I was shouting for ye and wishing ye'd score, weird feeling I tell ya! I'm still caught cos Kerry are who I wanted Cork to meet. But then there is the thing, what will happen if ye beat us again... there is a long winter there and all that.

IFTB, did you venture up to Croke Park or were you going to wait for the final?

On a laptop in my sitting room.....my housemate didn't know what to think of me when I lifted the roof off the place when Declan scored the goal.....and the security fella ran away when I roared Sheehans absolute monster kick over the bar.
It was as nervous as the Armagh game last year, and in the end as emotional a result - put it this way, I was celebrating in the knowledge that I'll be home for the week before the All Ireland.....the last time I was in Kerry the week before an All Ireland was 1986!!

At home on TV - just back from Italy into Belfast International at 2pm and straight home - got in just as national anthem being played so no time for unpacking - or relaxing either until after the final whistle. Earlier in the week in one of the nicer piazzas in Verona I spotted a Dublin shirt and gave in to the mad urge to shout "Up the Kingdom!" - to the bemusement of the local population - I got a pretty good-natured "Up the Dubs!" back. After the match (and it must have been the influence of the Italian vino rosso) I was even beginning to warm to Joe Brolly's comments. Had to stay tuned for the "Green and Gold" afterwards - a great programme but I wondered about the timing. Here's a few conspiracy theories * 1 RTE are worried about their perceived anti-Kerry bias (aka Up for the Match 2005) so they needed something to redress the balance. 2 They expected Dublin to win and therefore the programme was meant to mark the exit of the reigning champions. 3. They has a sneak preview of the Liam Hayes article ("Kerry are not that great") and wanted to rub it in to the current team how far they fell short of earlier standards. If 2 and/or 3 - boy did they get it wrong ;D * tongue firmly in cheek

PJ Ryans - Somerville Boston!
Good mix, more Dubs. Good craic but one Dub was a complete w**nker - he got a round of cheerio when he left, I think even his own fans joined in.

ASA, speaking of lifting the roof off the place when Declan scored, I had to apologise to the supporter (Kerry) in front of me for the same kind of reaction. I roared so loud I think he had temporary deafness...he looked around at me...probably to complain or check that I wasn't having a very loud cardiac arrest...don't think I've ever bellowed (for yes, it was a bellow) as loudly...huge release of tension...anyway, as ye were...

At home, in Swords, well my second home I suppose. Roared the place down, as did my sister. Don't think the neighbours will be too pleased with some of my choice words aimed at the Dubs.. Few strange looks over the past few days.. Thinking I should carry a baseball bat with me for a few days

I have but I've never been in Kerry the week before an All Ireland in which Kerry were taking part since 1986, around the time Pat Spillane was raiding the wards of the General Hospital to put the heap of bandages on his knee!!

I saw the game courtesy of Setanta here in France. I let a roar go for the goal and it is just as well that the shop I work in was empty otherwise French people and tourists alike would have called for the men in white coats. Still it was the best €9.95 that I've spent in a long time.
