Shame the voting polls have been gone, but does anyone thing Offaly are good enough for Dublin?
They put on a good show yesterday and will certainly give them a better fight than Laois. I stuill think Dublin will win it though.

Dublin are physically at a different ball game to Offaly. Offaly play decent football, but Dublin will just bully them off the pitch.

on the basis of yesterday Offaly look a far better twam than Laois but I cant see them getting close to the Dubs. Far too strong and experoenced for them methinks.

I agree in relation to Dublins physical strength ...... ask Billy Sheehan.
Expect the dubs to march on .......it looks like they will have Leinster to themselves for about 5 years llike kilkenny in the hurling.....
Leinster now is like the junior cert...... no guarantee that it will lead to a good leaving cert

I agree Offaly appear mostly smaller. I dont think theyre as good as Laois when Laois play at their best, but they are a coming team, and history has shown that Offaly teams generally break through very quickly once they reach a final. Our full-back line can expect a serious examination with the long ball. I wonder will P. Christ be resurrected at some stage? Offaly's backs also has alot to do to hold any good forward line, judging on the year so far. The way these two sides play, it should be a cracking game. McManus will have a great battle with Whelo. Rhyno can do well again hoovering up! There's been some great battles in the past - "There was 14 on....and 14 was off, Jimmy on the sidelines havin a gawk, Heffo and the boys...were working out the plan, how to beat the Offaly lads without the extra man!" Leinster isnt too bad you know lads, better than Munster except Kerry!

I agree with you rashers. on a whole I think the overall standard in both provinces in poor enough. But at least in Lenister its feasible that 3 or 4 teams have the winning of it before it starts, and theres always room for a surprise coming through. In Munster its a stroll for Kerry until a game against Cork.

::)If they play like they did against Laois, and if Offaly give up like Laois, then it will be easy. But they wont, they wont either, and therefore.......it wont! Come on lads, some sensible analysis please! Unchanged teams, so the big question will be Barry at Full back and Offaly's long-ball over the top and nippy goal-scring forwards; and Offaly's porous but tenacious backline, is it too small for Dublin's strong forwards? Both Laois and Wexford have since proven they are still very serious sides. I expect Offaly to play very well, Dublin to play about "middling", and that will leave it close. If Dublin start to panic with the fear of defeat in a tight finish, they will lose. If they show the same nerve as last year, they will pull through with 2-4 points to spare. They should manage that

If Cork can get a draw out of Kerry in Killarney, Laois can beat Tyrone (and any other surproses from this year), then Offaly are worth a bet at 4-1 or even the draw at 9-1

i think Offaly will definitely win Sunday. The Dubs beat a shocking Laois. Cosgrave,Sherlock,Brogan all in my opinion average players. That Brian Cullen at centre back is their best player i think. As for Offaly they have a very good forward line + i expect a big performance from McManus. Offaly2-14 Dublin 1-12

IMO, The Dubs will win, but it'll only be by 2-3 points. There's no way that they're going to let the Leinster title slip away from them this year

A draw is the best the Dubs will do.

Dunno Rashers just have a feeling it will be close and that Offaly's low profile build up will stand them in good stead. Their confidence is high also, whereas the Dubs will be under pressure particularly if things don't go their way early on.

:(I agree with all that. And then there's our inconsistency anyway. However, we are more experienced than them, and physically stronger. I think the lads also know what's at stake, defeat would mean almost certainly being savaged like a damaged vessel by the sharks in the qualifiers, it cant be allowed!
