I think a lot of Kerry supporters are underestimating Armagh.
They're unbeaten in the last 2 Ulster Championships and are unbeaten in the last 3 years of the knockout stages of the Championship (4 if you include 2024) - games that go to penalty shootouts count as draws.
They've topped their group in both years of the group format.
They've proven very difficult to beat. They've great pace and a very strong bench.
Unlike Derry, where we knew if Kerry kept level with them until the 2nd half Kerry would win as Derry tired, if Armagh stay level with Kerry until late on, I expect Armagh to finish the stronger.
I still think Kerry will win but O'Shea and the 2 Cliffords will need to up their game, or more precisely the other Kerry players and management will need to up their game and not play so cautiously, particularly in the first half. Not go gung-ho but not pass up the ample opportunities of kicking the ball into forwards that are in space that happened against Derry.
Armagh's discipline has improved a lot in the last couple of years but they still like to accidentally on purpose collide with opposing forwards making runs, so hopefully the officials will pick up on this.
Adding Graham O'Sullivan to an already strong bench might swing it in a game of inches.

Armagh are not afraid to have a go, and well capable of scoring from distance. We'll have to be tight all the ways out to the 45

They're very dangerous on the break, so Kerry will play cagey. I agree about kicking the ball in quicker. There's no risk on a counter attack so worth trying. It's great to have GOS back but I'd be surprised if he started. It's hard to drop anyone. |

They think I'm a bot 🤣 I've season tickets but they're not for me! Armagh will travel in big numbers so I bit the bullet last week and got halfway upper Cusack. Historically, it’s a gamble but I have usually picked up decent tickets on Ticketmaster on the Thurs eve as clubs return etc. There was a bit of commentary this week online about the lack of portaloos around the area, the usual. Croke Park responded and said that all the games left this year all sell-outs or very close to…could be BS but the Tailteann final could draw a decent crowd. The long-range forecast was ok on Sunday but is shocking now - that may have an impact on the fair-weathers if it stays like that! |

And Armagh were in the pack behind that group.
My pessimism has been well documented this year however if Kerry turn up and are tuned in they are winning this game.
This is Armaghs first SF since 2005 and Kerrys 3rd in 3 years.
Experience counts.

We don't have the pace in our forward line to counter attack from our own 45.

The qualifiers are probably not overly reliable but having watched Armagh & Galway, I cannot see Armagh getting anything like 0-15 points; Galway had the game won & but for a gift of a goal would have seen the game out comfortably. I am impressed by our backs & see them being good enough to prevent them ( Armagh) building a big score. |

It mightn't make for great viewing, but I can't see our turnover transfer any quicker than the Derry match, certainly no in the 1st 60 minutes anyway |

Kerry are well capable of hitting 16 or 17 points. I find this analysis in the GAA bizarre. Surely it depends on the defences too. "You need to be hitting 20 points to be beating Kerry" - I don't get it. |

I think we have pace but it's in the backs, White OBeaghlaoich Sullivan Foley All have pace, We need need to show patience but just a little more bravery than the first half against Derry. But I think Derry spooked us after last year and Armagh are a bit of an unknown quantity at this stage. |

For me, Armagh have a lot of strengths; long kick passing, counter attacking, bench impact, a good spread of scorers. So they will be very tricky opponents. I think their achilles heel is their lack of discipline and conceding silly frees. Therefore it's vital Sean has a good day with the frees Saturday.

There's trains available on the irishrail.ie website Irish Rail seem to have added 2 services to Kerry on Saturday night - at 8.45pm which is showing as booked out and a later one at 9.35pm for which tickets seem to be still available. |

Expecting the same team as last day, can’t see any change bar injury.
A Kerry win by 5 for me, just can’t see Armagh taking our defence apart, just can’t see them scoring more than us.
The only way Armagh can compete is with 15 behind the ball, which will lead to a low scoring game.

Im a huge admirer of Armagh and would be very wary of them.At the start of the championship I felt they were dark horses.Id rate them higher than both Galway and Donegal and we will have to bring our A game to beat them.If they attack with pace they can be frightening but they do have a habit of being cautious and that will suit us better.They also have a very good spread of scorers.
