I parked in the shopping centre near where Supermacs is previously with no problems. The Mayo game was a different kettle of fish altogether

RIP to David's (the GOAT) and Paudie's mum. Very hard on the two lads and all the family I can imagine.

A lovely lady left us yesterday, after a long battle, a lot of us don’t realise she shared her 2 sons with us over the last few months, while she battled her illness. Todays game will have a big impact on the whole kerry panel, David and Paudie are a huge part of that Kerry family.
May Ellen rest in peace, as tough as it will be, hope the team have the strength to honour her today. #CiarraiAbu 💚🧡.

RIP Ellen.
I'm sure it was a tough decision to decide whether to play or not made in unison with the whole family.
While it must be devastating for the Clifford family for the mother to be taken many decades too early, a very slight consolation should be taken that if she was taken a couple of years earlier she would have missed out on seeing Ogie and the boys Annus mirabilis of 2022.

Pure guts an courage for the Cliffords to play today and both played their part in such comfortable win. Very similar score line and match as Derry v Clare was last year.
Kerry v Mayo in killarney in two weeks make for a intriguing contest

Clifford’s are men to the core.
Ellen raised real men.
I have never seen a player like David Clifford in my 41 years on earth.
RIP Ellen, May you get the best bed in heaven.

I'm 41 and neither have I. The word I'd use is character.. What absolute pride I have for Paidi and David. I'm just a supporter but by god I'm proud of them.

Clare to give them credit put in as good a display as they could. Imo had it been Cork I don't think they'd have stayed at it and would have just rolled over at half time. Had they taken more chances in the first half could have been a closer game.
I'd fancy to beat Donegal in their first game especially at home.

I'm not sure how you can go through what Paudie and David are going through and still not just turn up but be brilliant.
If two people every embodied Kerry it's them two young men. Just makes you feel so proud to be from a special, special place.
God bless our Kingdom
(Except Lixnaw 🤣)

Looked sharp today. The training camp in Portugal seems to have done no harm. Good also that there is plenty to work on. Midfield still a wory. 1 or 2 players around the middle anonymous again. Alot of silly 21 yard frees conceded and alot of wides.
Is the date/time for Mayo in Killarney set yet?

Jack and Diarmuid nullified a 6ft7 giant in Darren O'Neill (who destroyed Cork) and Cathal O'Connor who was whipped off at HT. All this while Diarmuid was a key link between attack and defence and Jack covered the space in front of Tadhg Morley and tracked O'Neill everytime he tried to slip into FF for a long ball. It was a brilliant performance from the pairing.

I second that - thought Jack had one of his best games in a while but Diarmuid was different gravy - thought he was superb throughout, fielding, linking play, defending & attacking. Both shone.

Oh gosh it’s been awhile since I’ve posted…life and all that has been a bit busy but sweet Jesus those men, I love this team and I never thought I’d love a team as much as Tomás,Marc,Darragh,Colm,Paul etc but those Clifford men today I’ve don’t really have the words but I want to acknowledge what they did for their mum and for the green and gold today we are so lucky and should be so grateful ♥️💚💛 incredible…bring on Mayo!!

The very best of us those two men are , the pride i feel to hail from the same place as them. Tírgrádoireacht was a favourite word of the late P O’Sé - roughly translated its an inordinate love of place - it’s what was on show today by the Cliffords. May Ellen rest in peace.

Been a while since I posted here too, what a display by 2 grieving young men. What a testimony to their mother, the pride she must have felt rearing them and seeing what they’ve become. Hats off to them both, their dad, sister and family. I hope the next few days will be as ok as they can be for them all. Ciarraí abú and rest easy, Ellen.

A classy win for Kerry today, in which the Clifford brothers most certainly made their late mother proud. What more can be said about them? Two simply outstanding individuals both on and off the field and showed so much courage today. 3-6 for the duo. Think Malachy Clerkin put it perfectly when he mentioned that the two put an arm round each other heading down the tunnel, “brothers in victory, brothers in loss”.
Rare that I enjoy a game that was in reality a rout. Our style of play today though was very enjoyable and we really took the game to Clare with up to 10 goal chances made throughout I believe. Clare will be ruing their wides in the 1st half. They were awfully wasteful in attack. I was disappointed by their showing if I’m honest.
Jason Foley was brilliant today. His best performance so far this year. Hopefully that knock he picked up at the end is nothing of concern. Shane Ryan is really proving himself as the finest goalkeeper in the country right now. Two good saves. Also thought Diarmuid O’Connor had his best outing of the year today. Dara and Tony were class too. Dara was non stop causing trouble for Clare in both attacking and defending. A right old nuisance for them! Tony is coming along leaps and bounds. Let’s keep that going.
Not to get too carried away, there’ll be A LOT tougher tests yet. Looking forward to Mayo in Killarney in two weeks. Up The Kingdom.

ya Mayo in 2 weeks time is the judge of where this team is, after the absolute hammering we took up there.
