Stacks have suggested to St Finbarrs that the venue be decided by the toss of a coin.

Odd enough behaviour by finbarrs alright, are they trying to get it played in some small local venue so that stacks can’t bring their support? Or what is the motive? I can’t think of anything more adequate in this scenario than a coin toss

I can’t think of anything more adequate in this scenario than a coin toss Finbarrs doubling down on wanting a neutral venue, though they don't appear to be offering any rationale for their stance. www.irishexaminer.com/sport/gaa/arid-40774974.htmlIf Semple and the Gaelic Grounds are out, what's left as a decent neutral ground then? Ennis?

If neutral, meaning not in Cork or Kerry and the unavailability of the premier venues in Semple or the gaelic grounds, then I envisage you are looking at the second best grounds in Limerick or Tipperary.
The Limerick and Tipp footballers play national football and c'ship games in NCW or Askeaton and on the other side of the border it would be Clonmel for the Tipperary lads.
I would imagine if the Barrs don't agree a toss it will be fixed for Clonmel or NCW/Askeaton.
Distance wise for fairness. Clonmel would appear to be the most logical solution and with a capacity of 5000 can more than cater.

Desmonds played the Barrs in Bruff in the 80s in Munster club final - think Kilmallock may have hosted some games also.

The examiner has the Gaelic Ground as the most probable venue unless the Barr’s chance their stance on the coin toss.

Stacks have gained a psychological edge over St Finbarr's i think in this. Stacks prepared to play them in their own backyard whereas St Finbarr's were not willing to take the chance.

Ya K'boy but they have already laid down a serious marker to the Barrs
I think the Rockies will win Munster but the lack of a killer forward may cost them down the line against seasoned and more experienced club sides

Stacks don't look tuned in at all. In big trouble here.
Mind you, the ref is giving them nothing.

The most notable feature for me in that first half is that Austin Stacks are unable to compete physically with St Finbarrs.

Quilter is the only threat up front so far. Donaghy needs to get on the ball.

Stacks look like they haven't a clear plan, no real penetration in attack. Being cleaned out in the middle. Really need to changes things up. Personally I think this game is over, but hopefully I'm wrong

Barrs totally dominated the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes of that half.
In between it was even enough.
Barrs seem more alert and playing with more intensity.
I cant see how Stacks save this unless something extraordinary happens in the second half.

That was an absolutely woeful first half performance. They seem to lack lads with the confidence or ability to kick points from further than the 21
