The search for somewhere with Eir Sport is reminding me of a search for All Ireland tickets before the season ticket. How long is a piece of HDMI string? I am sure a neighbour would oblige? Hopefully we will also have the second problem! Nobody I have asked have that channel. I have one possibility that I have to check out tomorrow. Fingers crossed

Non GAA folk may not even know they have Eir, but they would probably know their ISP. On that subject and since we are at the start of a new season, can someone put together a list of the good media spots, i.e. programs. I Mullane and Marty were at it for ages before I came across them and there may be people on here who are more isolated that me. OTB is okish. A comprehensive listing would be nice, if only to confirm we all know what is on offer. Take care sull!

Great to see a strong team taking the field - also good to have sight of our panel for 2021. The listed 26 (league games don't rule a player out of the U20 championship if memory serves me right so Paul O Shea may be in either come July) plus five that appear to be on the injured/unavailable list - James O Donoghue, Stephen O Brien, Tom Sullivan, Tony Brosnan & Jack Sherwood.
What about the other two Crokes lads, David Shaw and Michael Potts, are they still involved or not. Thought there were a few other underage graduates mentioned in previous posts. Like many I am trying to figure out the deck we are dealing from.

Shane Ryan won’t be playing today. He’s in a support boot so one would presume that is a foot or ankle injury.

The most interesting element of that line out for me, is the inclusion of Joe O'Connor. I'm glad to see that he is in the mix. The few times I've seen him, he appeared to have a directness about him that bespoke of a welcome reluctance to ignore the modern dogma of playing latterly to no good purpose. I hope he gets a decent chance to show what he can do at this level. If he can perform, he could be the catalyst to allow the forwards to escape from the clutches of packed defences. We know what most of the others can do.

Finding it hard to drum up enthusiasm for the GAA this year. The GAA Franchise that is Dublin is out of control now and no vaccine in sight for that. A friend has what he calls a 'dodgy box' that picks up eir so i will call over to him to watch it with him.... at a safe distance.

It just highlights this nonsense of naming a team in full knowledge that a player is injured. PK should stop that nonsense because he only gets supporters backs up with that craic.

FH,
Hard to know how good Kerry are as Galway are appalling.
2.9 from the FF line is unreal.
Left 3.1 out there.
Kerry are excellent.
Kickouts poor enough though.

Kerry looked a team that was full of hurt from last year and wanted to prove their doubters wrong... They'll prove them wrong even more if they carry that type of performance to Thurles next Sunday against Dublin. Good performances all around and I must add Paul O Shea did quiet well after coming off the bench on his debut but when David Clifford is in that type of form he's unplayable, seems to have filled out over the winter and have more of a burst of speed which makes him even more exciting going forward.... All in all an impressive start by Kerry.

Kerry were excellent while Galway were woeful. Some of the attacking play was sublime, albeit aided and abetted by a very limp and flaky Galway. Players looked hungry, focused and sharp. Someone on here was questioning DMs inclusion - I think he always was/is a serious player and an absolute banker for the c'ship first 15. Savage workrate and brilluant link man. Great to see P. Clifford slot in effortlessly. DC and SOS were a joy to watch once again. I think K. Spillane has become a serious player and is ahead of PG for me. With Tony Brosnan back, serious fire power available.
There is a big part of me that doesnt want to show our hand too much against Dublin - in such a way that they have months to plan on combatting it in an All Ireland final, should we cross all hurdles in between. That said, it is a game that we will all look forward to and will be interesting to see the selection strength on either side. Today we didn't need a keeper who can play a short or a quick accurate ball. Next week we probably will so that will be interesting to see how we fare in that regard....

Great start by all ,players and management hard to know where we are at given the paucity of the challenge. Next weekend will be a different challenge but if we play like that id be happy and we couldn't be too far off.it was a day where everything worked for us perfectly except we should've scored a bit more

Brilliant performance. I was half expecting to see Mick O'Dwyer running along the sideline there.
For younger contributors, when you hear us going on about the team of the Mick O'Dwyer era this is what it was like. No half backs named at half forward to go back and cover for anything, no mechanical tactics because something like that worked for Tyrone 20 years ago, just players using all their skills to react to situations and turn them into scores. Even David Clifford said it in an after match interview when asked about his last goal - "I don't know where that came from". I do David, you are an instinctive footballer.
Peter Keane had the minors playing this way all the time when he was manager. Hope this is what we have to look forward to for the rest of the season.

Galway were chasing shadows out there today, Kerry were simply operating at another level. Galway are a team that ask hard questions of us ordinarily but today they just looked to be struggling with the directness and movement (finally) of our team, it was a joy to see Kerry playing like this again. Looking forward to next Sunday, there won’t be a score line like today and that’s for sure but it should be a cracker.

PK & Co can reflect on a job well done but the folly of last years negative approach vs Cork was painfully exposed today.
Starting the game on the front foot and playing quick ball into a goal hungry forward line advertised all thats good about how we play and the forwards did the rest; our defence too was solid, but bigger tests lie ahead.
Paul Geaney was probably the poorest of our starting sextet and will be most under pressure to start next weekend - Tommy Walsh has played himself into contention and will along with Stephen O'Brien & Tony Brosnan apply pressure for a starting role.
A good start, lots of positives to take away.

Says a world about how bad Galway were out there today.
The worry for Joyce is that this wasn't a one-off systems crash - I thought Galway's performance was very similar to when Mayo absolutely took them apart in Salthill in the league last year.
Kerry's 2 points is great and the score difference of +23 is a nice bonus, especially when there are only 3 games in the regular league.

Kerry have to approach every game like that. Forget about what others do let's set up like that for the rest of the summer. If we lose we lose bit let's give it a rattle like we did today.

I wouldn’t be expecting him to be kicking a rake of points this year. I actually think it’s a progressive move that you are putting a talented player in the working role if they know the work will be put in
