Hopefully it will knock the notions the players had. Took Cork for granted.

As always we’ll be looking for new players. Sean O’Brien and Paul Walsh from the U20s worth a look. The only 2 I think from that team. Other players maybe try Eoin O’Brien in goals Maybe Mike Breen . We need some forwards and a midfielder.

Get geaney back start o brien, and spillane and we have the forwards. The o brien one has me scratching my head still i thought he made a bit of a difference when he came on won a few breaks and drove forward. I understand hard working forwards but they need to be able to score and create aswell like dec sullivan, galvin and d.walsh all worked like demons but chipped in scores aswell.need to spread the load from o shea and clifford they cant be expected to score 10-15 points every single game league and championship

We need some forwards and a midfielder. Of course you'd be looking. Paul O'Shea has to be brought along at some point too. However, a lack of quality isn't an issue at the moment imo- I honestly think we have a really strong panel with ne'er a passenger in sight. The problem is the way some top class players are being utilised and in some cases marginalised, particularly so in attack. If we continue to employ fear tactics like yesterday, then it won't matter how many more diamonds we unearth. We are at the point now where the squandering of our underage riches has to stop and Kerry have to start winning.

We need some forwards and a midfielder. Sean O’Brien only an u18 so too soon for him yet, he’ll be an option in a few years. Paul Walsh isn’t of the standard required and still u20 next year anyway. From that u20 team Dylan Casey and Paul O’Shea are closest but I think both are at least a year away. In next year’s league I would try Dan O’Donoghue at centre back and Joe O’Connor at midfield. Either O’Connor or Liam Kearney need to be looked at for midfield, I think I’d give O’Connor the edge but it’s close. Jack McGuire could also be someone to look for the full back line. Paudie Clifford should also be given an extended look although I’m not convinced he really fits in.

Yes definitely Paul O’Shea for sure is another one Are we playing Paul in the half-back line or the full-back next year! That's where our best forwards played a lot of yesterday's match, if nothing changes in a managerial sense then we can assume this is where our forwards will play next year also.

We could playing with two keepers at that stage - O'Shea on the right side of the goals and DC on the left. Shane Ryan can be Maor Uisce.

Could the smart lads on here please put a name forward who is going bring Kerry forward or to the next level as they see it? Some of the nonsense being put up here and other threads beggars belief. Kerry had an off day, most teams do (bar Dublin, it seems), we are just in the unfortunate situation this year where there is no second chance which of course makes Sunday's result 10 times worse, as sore as we supporters are about it, I'd imagine Peter and the players are too, and most likely worse, so sticking the knife in now (while fairly typical of us in recent years) is not going to help anyone!

The Horan lad that was full forward for u21s and also played well in county championship with St. Kierans may be worth a look ...hard part of the field to break into tho

I think if we had a backdoor it would refocus the panel on the next game and not the Dubs. We have the lads to win not just one all Ireland but multiple. This will refocus the lads to prove the doubters wrong. Whenever the Season Pass returns, I'll be there supporting our men.

Genuine chanpionship football at its best - no safety net and the sting and pain of an unanticipated loss that will fester for the long weeks and months before we can try to right the wrong. Kerry lost 76 and 77 and hopes were high as we felt we had an up and coming team but we lost and boy did those losses hurt - we went at it even harder, fixed a few of the problems (ignored the calls for Dwyer to be sacked) and then came four glorious years of success - hope springs eternal........

I agree about Dan O'Donoghue getting a run, also Kearney and P. Clifford. Definitely deserve 3 or 4 games. We need to perhaps start looking at a full back as Morley isn't a natural full back. Buckley is more of a 3rd midfielder than a half forward in my opinion, not enough of a scoring threat. Our half forward line don't have enough of a cutting edge to them going forward like Declan O' Sullivan used to bring, being a scoring threat from 55 yards in running at a defence. We definitely need one more scoring half forward in there with SOB and Seánie. Perhaps Geaney out there might suit as he seems to have that swagger and low centre of Gravity that Declan had with Brosnan,Clifford & Spillane as a full forward line. Definitely more options need to be explored during the league of 2021
