Foley replaced by Gavin C on 42, was Jason only reintroduced vs Mayo with our backs to the wall (pun not intended!), a fixture since so maybe even PK didn't fully appreciate his contribution until he was missed.
That is an amazing panel but still and someone pointed out there is just a single scoring sub - are Jameso and PG not match ready or what?
And here was we thinking selecting was easy, maybe it is but getting it right isn't so.
Now maybe this is a subject for another day, well hopefully anyway, but I just noticed in the program that only goals count in Penalties - points would make it interesting and would also differentiate the coed from soccer. So say after 4 of 5 penalties it is level pegging, then next one is wide, then last laddo taps here over the bar. One obvious issue is that it gives the team that went 2nd that advantage, i.e. to take the point. But in saying that it is also avoiding the sudden death, bringing it forward if you like. Also, what about 'misses' that went over the bar - now things are getting interesting, and hurling would be even more interesting.
Well done to all involved today and which can't be easy, no more than sitting at home watching it. Still only for Covid 'twould be all over now and of course yes, would we have Sam?
Good luck to the green 'n' gold.

This dummy team crack has to stop, regardless of the result

There's winter football... Then there's this. Kerry absolutely horrible, forwards are poor, too much messing about, big second half needed or there'll be no more championship football.

Can we get sprinklers installed in Currans and turn them on the whole time they're training, as soon as I saw that twas raining in Cork I knew this would happen. We can't play with a wet ball

Kerry full fwd line good, half fwd line not so. Poor by Sean and Diarmuid on a number of occasions, coughing up scores.
If Clifford and Tony get decent ball we may be ok. Cork will take a lot from that half.

This is not looking good. We ought to be 4 or 5 ahead. Corks tails up and starting to clean us out on the breaks.

2 very very cheap frees by G. White. White very poor defensively, you saw that in club final versus Corofin, they targeted him that day, Leonard tracked him and the Corofin keeper pinged kickout after kickout on top of his wing. How does Burns start ahead of Spillane. A good job Cork put on the Aussie rules fella to make it 14 a piece for the black card.

Maguire has committed some amount of fouls. Ref has given frees but no word or card. If you told me it was double figures I would believe it.

What was David Moran doing taking pot shots. What was Tommy Walsh doing back sitting on the square and then not jumping. A day of missed chances and very poor decision making.

One of the worst self inflicted defeats by a Kerry team that I can remember - Cork hung in there but Kerry had numerous chances and kept leaving the door open for Cork. Yes the conditions were terrible, the ref inconsistent, we were missing players but ultimately it was the one thing I feared - a poor Kerry performance.

Jesus David Moran what are you at 3 times in tge second period, David lost the plot. 1 crazy long kick that DChad no chance with. And 2 lunatic, low percentage efforts. Inexcusae lack of composure for one so inexperienced.

Jesus, will b hard pill for d players to swallow, no player out der would have intended to make so mistake. Major issue for me would be the way we set out from the beginning. Trademark of this management has been how many defensive minded players we pick...
