What happens after the county championship for the average club player - are the leagues going ahead or is it divisional games if any to keep lads active and engaged until 2021? Dates for SK and NK championship have been set. There was talk of a "scaled down" county league over the winter months a while ago. These would probably be defacto challenge games as I cant see there being promotion or relegation this year. But it would be football games nonetheless.

Divisional games more than likely. County leagues are done for 2020.

Heard a rumour that Legion are very stuck for a keeper against st Brendan's. Brian Kelly dislocated his finger in training. Peter O Leary supposedly drafted in to play in goal. Can anyone confirm??

Speaking of setbacks for Kenmare Sean o Shea went off injured at half time any news in that regard? Dead leg for Seánie was what I've heard, would expect him to play but can never be 100% sure with those type of injuries.

I have been streaming a few of the games every weekend and enjoying the action for €5 but it really doesn't sit right with me this weekend that you have to buy a 2 game or 4 game package. Not everyone has time to sit and watch 4 matches over the weekend and those people are forced to pay €10 for a product that cost them €5 last week.
No good reason for doing this apart from greed from the county board. This is a time when many Kerry people are experiencing financial hardship so while it's "just a fiver" for most people there will be plenty of people who could have put that €5 to better use.
I have no idea why this bothers me so much considering the fact that if the options were there of 1 game, 2 games or 4 games I would most likely have gone with the 2 or 4 games anyway. I just dislike that the choice has been taken away I guess. Might sit this weekend out, out of principle.
Little to be giving out about.

Doesn't sit well here either. It's bundled/packaged as if it's a "deal" when in truth it's just trying to squeeze more out of people.
Furthermore, County Board refusing to engage regarding Club Pass Holder refunds and continuing to expect those pass holders to pay for streaming of matches they've already paid for "access" to months ago.
The level of contempt the county board holds supporters in is mesmeric and frankly utterly disappointing.

I went onto the Kerry GAA site last night and clicked on the Garveys live streaming option and bought the Legion v Brendanss game on its own for a fiver. Nothing about having to buy two or four games. I just checked there now and its at 'purchased' status and will be live at 6pm tonight. Very handly not to have to use Paypal. I saw the thing about THE SATURDAY PASS for a 10 and THE WEEKEND PASS for 20e but it does not mean you cant buy one game for a fiver going by my experience anyway.

The option to buy a single game was withdrawn, this is a money grab and I will not be buying any package.

The option to buy a single game was withdrawn, this is a money grab and I will not be buying any package. I am mystified at this stage. After i read your post i logged in and bought tomorrows game between Crokes and Templenoe for a fiver. Nothing forcing me to buy both games tomorrow or anything. Have you an account set up with a password etc?

In fairness to the County Board they have bought 2 streams (one Saturday, one Sunday) rather than 4 (a separate one for each game) off the company they are dealing with as it is cheaper for them. So they've no option but have everyone pay the tenner. They have also brought in better equipment so the camera will be better stabilised, they'll have more angles, and there'll be pre game interviews and replays. They're not sure if they'll even break even with this extra outlay. From what I can see they're doing their best and I wouldn't have any problem with anything they've done around live streaming.
One thing I would have liked to see this weekend is the county board giving one game to the Irish Examiner to stream so people can access a game for free. They seem to be more than happy to cover Kerry county championship games and they their coverage of Dingle vs Templenoe was very good. The County Board don't have to pay the Examiner to stream a game, do they? Is it the Examiner who incur the costs?

Just tried there have to buy 2 games which is a little annoying but having to set up an account is worse id imagine its the company rather than the county board. Little bit iratating and a needless step that will probably lose them business but anyway at least i get to see the games!

6 points to 2 at the water break. Brendans all over Legion and playing really well.

Halh time
2.07 0.06
Brendans came out after the water break and scored two beaufifully crafted goals. First by Jack Barry and the second by Diarmaid OConnor.
Legion got a few points before half time but its hard to see how they save this game.
Brendans very impressive. Fergal Barry at 6, Jack and Diarmaid at midfield and David Griffin at 11 providing the platform.

JOD set up Jamie OSullivan for a great goal but Brendans settled again.
Diarmaid OConnor looks ever inch 'a county man' in this game. Outstanding.
Brendans down to 14 men afyer 2 yellows for number 5.

Diarmuid o Connor has all the ability to be a top class intercounty footballer. It was odd to see people writing him off after 1/2 sub standard performances last year as he’s still a cub.
As an aside, does anyone know why the Brendans named their team in this weeks programme in Irish? They did it in English last week.
Do teams sometimes do this to show themselves as true, authentic Gaels? They’re not from an Irish speaking region and only seem to do it sporadically so i found it a bit odd

2.17 to 1.09.
Brendans are going to take a lot of stopping.
Tough on Legion. Very hard for them to compete against a divisional side who play like a club side.

Many an objection has stood or fallen on a misplaced fada.

St Brendans on top all over the field. Legion were very flat and disappointing over all. As mentioned by other Diarmuid O’Connor excellent. Really looks like an intercounty midfielder or wing forward. They really look and play like a club team

Have to say some very strange calls in the East Kerry / St Kierans game, Mostly against St Kierans who can feel aggrieved. St Kierans kicked 2 wides and deserved something out of that game Costly red from Clifford.

I don't know what messing is going on but it has turned me off subscribing. My intention was to watch the East Kerry game but when I did it said I had to buy the Saturday pass. It's the changing of terms and conditions overnight that has enraged me more than anything. To further bamboozle you Mickmack as you said if you want to watch the replay of the East Kerry St Kierans game the only option is buying the Saturday pass yet when you click on the St Brendans Legion replay option you can purchase this as a one off game for €5. Try and make sense of that!

And a few more twists and turns no doubt. County board ar ultimately responsible and there will be consequences.

I would have bought the Saturday pass for a tenner had it been the only option open to me this morning.
I think its great value in fairness and i am happy to pay it as i think its a fantastic service.
Its just that the online options changed during the day and it looks like it will cost me 30e to see the 4 games now but i will probably do that anyway now.
Paying a tenner for a double bill is not a money grab to me but i appreciate that money is tight at the moment.

Lads no disrespect but our countys GAA income from match receipts is gone. I don't think there is any intention to over charge for streaming services. The service in my opinion is well worth the fee and it might be the only exposure we get to our players this year.

Have they made any comment on the season tickets yet? Surely season ticket holders get some kind of discount? Id have more sympathy for the clubs that still have to pay the affiliation fees and have no gates or in some cases, no pubs to sell/do the local lotto etc which keeps many clubs going. fwiw Im not sure the intention is to be greedy from the county board, i think maybe this weekend that they have made some small errors in their promotion of the county championship, for example the social media post for €10 for saturday or sunday or get the weekend pass for €20 has got a good bit of mocking online
