And to briefly move away from the subject of football, TG4 has recently had a series about ballads around the country called Na Bailéid and in that series had a great programme about Kerry covering Sigerson Clifford and Sean McCarthy. May still be available on the TG4 player. Well worth watching. Brilliant television.

The Johnny Pilkington episode is well worth a look super show on Johnny, super hurler in a great decade for hurling I just wonder was the GAA better then for an inter county man. not as professional in terms of preparation but yet players were fit and the matches were good. Johnny seemed to have an attitude that he loved hurling, he loved Offaly, he would train, he would deliver on the pitch but if he wanted a few pints no one was going to stop him. not a bad outlook

Dermot Early Junior programme was excellent also. A case of what Veteran might term 'the apple not falling far from the tree'.
That was the final programme in the current run.

Johnny Pilkington and Kevin Cassidy along with Shane Curran were good and honest. Well able to have the craic while also playing at the highest level. Sadly the others were boring enough, bit like the Limerick Hurlers after the All-Ireland this year BORING AS HELL. Can't bate a bit of craic like Philly McMahon after the football final or the good old days of Michael Lyster or even Wheesie and Gary on Kerry Radio where they could have a bit of craic with the players and managers. The GAA is starting to get exhaustingly boring and you'd fear the craic is well gone.
