Best of luck to him (not on sunday obviously ) He'd be the right man for lifting lintels, I suppose he will get the same rate as a crane! Quote of the day - Where there's a will there's a way Solicitors in Listowel say Where there's a will there's a relative in the way!Be jazus thanks for all the likes! Kerry has a very strong sponsor in our namesake Kerry Group but unlike the private concern that sponsors McShane, as a public company they have to play by different rules. Still we have lots of private companies and some of who copsy up to GAA and profit accordingly, they also have deep pockets, maybe they could have 'convinced' Mark O'C to stay? I was crucified by some on here when I wanted the televised NK Final to be shown live on our PCs -meanwhile TCB is funding research into why NK is the poorest in terms of county players. Well not allowing people to see the game is not a bad place to start and vested interests shouldn't be allowed to cross that line. I don't want to sound like I am blowing my own trumpet here but as someone who has lived outside the county for 30 years I can say with 100% certainty that Kerry GAA has so much going for us, we are genetically disposed to naturing and nurturing the best of Gaelic Footballers and that is not something we should take for granted, if we do the inevitable will happen, they will go elsewhere, play other sports, etc and with the increasing demands this is a real risk. I still manage to shed a tear when I think of one Ballydonoghue family who gave us a few county Minor stars but are now more associated with New York than Kerry. This fraternity literally carried the culture of our parish on their backs when times were really tough and things hard earned. My parents had the local shop, dance hall and petrol pumps, so I understand these things, I saw sacrifices made that while on the one the one hand make me so proud, but then very sad when I see some of the wrong doing today. We had fantastic parish publication that was taken over a fraternity that simply contradicts our what was our infamous local folk wisdom, and yes, we have vested interests who make sure that regime remains, basically because they can continue to compromise society for profit. I has a GAA articled that was refused inclusion because they objected to my poetic license in portraying the winning Sam as us annually renewing our property rights - ah you see they were robbing property so we couldn't have that now could we? Now I hope I don't sound like a dozy auld shagger but I honestly think we can do better - other counties wouldn't be so fool hardy if they had what we have going for us. In case anyone doubts my credentials, the summit of Kerry football to me was my late mother telling me to 'come down off that table' as I celebrated the 3rd of the Bombers hat-trick in '78, the cheeky pup answered back, 'what effing table', I didn't even know where I was! This moment I will always treasure and as needs must I will ensure that the next generation will also be reprimanded by their mammies, just as wan Sigerson Clifford said 'I am Kerry like my mother before me, and my mother's mother and her man, etc... Ironic that The Sigerson Cup honours a Tyrone branch of the name, but, ah yerra, we are glad to have wan David Clifford ... now what do ya think of that Joe Brolly? This feckin forum will be the end of me! Quote of the day - Join the dots, like we did as kidsClick to enlarge, what a team, when the clock turns full circle, how many Celtic Crosses will this gang have in their arse pockets? PS Warning to tourists, check your change! BTW Weather up North has calmed down, calm before the storm or what? I'd be guided by official forecasters bearing in mind the auld saying 'To forecast is difficult, to forecast the future is impossible.'

9am flight to Dublin in the morning has been cancelled due to the forecast adverse weather conditions tomorrow. Bus transfers laid on. We will have to drive all the way to Omagh now.

Just heard Cathal McShane is named on the Tyrone bench for tomorrows game Tyrone team to play Kerry: 1) Niall Morgan 2) Niall Kelly 3) Ronan McNamee 4) Liam Rafferty 5) Tiernan McCann 6) Rory Brennan 7) Peter Harte 8) Colm Cavanagh 9) Conn Kilpatrick 10) Kieran McGeary 11) Niall Sludden 12) Darren McCurry 13) Daniel Kerr 14) Frank Burns 15) Conor Meyler
Looks like a fairly strong side from Tyrone, not far off full strength for them. Should be a good contest with two near full strength teams going at it.

That ref again truly laughable. The ball into McManus through on goal, blows it back for a free 65 metres out. Everyone even in the crowd as your heard them groan when the final dead ball was given to Monaghan 2 minutes after injury time thought it was up. But once again Dublin get the chance to go up and get their score while the other team wins the ball and its blown up. Laughable!

Ah Jaysus that’s an awful weather forecast for the whole island tomorrow just now on RTÉ newsnow. Flight cancelled, no option only road travel the length of the country when they are telling us stay home. It’s on TG4 , a lie in tomorrow morning is looking ever so tempting.

Monaghan must feel hard done by. Advantage rule with Monaghan through on goal? ? Desperate

I heard there is a pitch inspection tomorrow at 10am in Omagh. If pitch is in doubt and match doesn't go ahead this isn't fair on the Kerry supporters making the long journey. Surely a pitch inspection could be done tonight or very early in the morning.

I'm up here in Tyrone at the moment came up for the weekend. Please God it's not cancelled. I won't be coming up again for the refixed game if it is that's for sure. Weather was farely okay until crossing the border when there seemed to be alot of surface water on the roads from there onwards. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞

The pitch will probably be alright at 10am but the forecast after that isn't too hot. There will be a lot of weather between 10am and 2pm

Danny Healey Rae said that the gales up North tonight wouldn't match an average Mid Kerry orgasm! It will be called shortly in the next hour. Fergal Kelly to officially call it Its in severe doubt. Forecast is for no improvement At least an early cancellation will get the lads home quicker.

Match will be cancelled- there’s flooding all up the country. Pity our first away game of the year ain’t goin ahead and will be interesting to see when the game is replayed as we run a fairly tight ship fixture wise due to our club championship being in April

Storm was forecast for 5am and that was near right enough here in Letterkenny and which is a 40 min drive from Omagh, apart from the pitch and now while I could be wrong but it would be hard to imagine teams taking to a pitch with the storm that is blowing as I write, a gang of us have cancelled our travelling plans and while I'll still go if its on I'm resigned to staying indoors, power is out also. This is just my personal take on it, just hoping im of help.
I live near o'donnel park where dgal are due to play galway and that game is still scheduled to go ahead according to the main gaa web site.

I hope it is cancelled, playing a match today will mean only 1 thing and thats injuries. Player welfare should be paramount.
