What are peoples favourite county grounds outside of Kerry. I always liked pairc ui caoimh (once you eventually got in). Breffni park in cavan and thurles in 01 and 02 were good when they had a good crowd in them vs dublin ×2 and kilfare in 02

Always stood on the city end tbh ! Tried the open stand one day and by halftime in the minor i had snuck back into the city end. 8 liked the bowl nature of the ground always felt it lent itself to a good atmosphere

Take your pick, supposed 2020 venues? Ballydonogue, well Lisselton Cross really, had Moss Joe's field and there is no sporting venue of such spirit anywhere in the whole world! It is where a GAA invention was made, the 2 point score. A cord was the crossbar and yes, you guessed, when the ball rattled it Hawkeye displayed Níl Níl so it wasn't a point or a goal, and it had to be something so of course it could the only be 2 points. It was a last kick of the game to secure a draw against The 'Hillsters' and who us 'Lowsters' were feuding with at the time, our war years! As the crack was so good the shooter wanted a replay and he is now of course a part of history, he could have goaled and never told anyone 'till now and for obvious if good reasons, one being that he'd be killed stone dead for throwing the game. That there was nobody in goals adds credence to his claim and there are witnesses, including a bane of sucklers. Inishturk is probably second while Croker is a distant third with all those facilities, though it is 160 miles further away than Moss Joe's.

O'Connor Park, Tullamore is a nice little ground.
Cusack Park in Ennis is smashing.

Hard to top Killarney on a summers day - great buzz. Really liked Clones last year, natural amphitheatre - Tullamore too was good & the newly revamped Dr Hyde Park offers great viewing. On the negative side have never liked Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Limerick or Ennis.

Thurles was always a ground I liked, Portlaois as well even though I can't remember the last time we played there. Fitzgerald Stadium has so much potential to be the best stadium outside Croke Park but it badly needs the following to be considered that: New Stand with proper seats. Better toilets And to finish off the terracing at the torc terrace end. Also not necessary but floodlights would be nice, it'd be great to go to a game in Killarney under lights. With all that it'd top every other ground outside Croker.

Luckily I have gone to a few county grounds. Here is my opinion on them. Pairc Ui Chaoimh- I will never warm to it even though the new ground is a big improvement. Pairc Ui Rinn-good venue for games. Prefer it to it's bigger neighbour. Main stand and terraces are fine. Thurles- I liked the ground but I must go when it's full to get a better opinion of it. Gaelic Grounds- great atmosphere there in 2014. Easy access and good view from any part of the stand. Cusack Park Ennis- lovely ground. Great atmosphere. Terrace is covered which is important for an evening like last May. Salthill- I like the ground but the traffic in and out was a disaster. Tuam- Easy to get to near the motorway. Terrace was fine. The stand looks like a hay shed. Castlebar- The stand is huge. Nice clubhouse beside it with Castlebar Mitchels. Terrace looks like it needs to be done up.
Hyde Park- lovely ground.was impressed with it last year. Clones- great ground in a bowl like arena. Breffni- nice ground. Good atmosphere there. In a bowl like Clones. Aughrim- it's been nearly 10 years since I went there for a game but it wasn't great. Tullamore- great ground in the town. Very modern. Pearse Park,Longford- We had a few lucky escapes there. Lovely ground. Good views there and facilities were good. Close to the town centre. Parnell Park, Dublin- I have gone to a few games there. Good ground. You have fine views from any place there. Found it easy to get in and out of. Croke Park- great ground but the price of food is too much. A coke, chips and a burger was 12 euro last Saturday for anyone who wanted it.
Favourite grounds outside the county would be Croker followed by Ennis,Clones and Hyde Park,Roscommon. Least favourite was Aughrim.
