Not something I generally care about but putting this up anyway for a diversion from yesterday's disappointment.

Clifford, O'Shea, O'Brien and Tom O'Sullivan have to be shoo-ins. Moran should get the nod too, despite a sub-par game yesterday. Geaney has had a great end of season. Shane Ryan has been really good and improving all the time, though can't see him getting in ahead of Cluxton. Has to get a nomination though. Likewise Morley.

Moran made mistakes yesterday but easily the best midfielder in the country this year.

Green-and-gold goggles notwithstanding, there's no manager in the country who wouldn't have Clifford on the teamsheet (ok, maybe Rory Gallagher).

Clifford was sharper than Mannion at the business end of the championship.

Can’t believe there is even a debate here.
4 points from play yesterday and two the first day along with winning a penalty, a few frees and his marker deservedly sent off before half time.

Cluxton Fitzsimons McNamara O Sullivan McCaffrey Durcan McHugh Moran Fenton Howard S O Shea O brien O Callaghan Mannion Clifford Hardest call is Michael Murphy not being on the team Spot on other than Mcnamara - who is that? Murphy very good but wouldnt make the 15 in my opinion - James McCarthy unlucky too hard to know where to put him - him or John Small might rival McHugh

Paul Geaney won't get one because he is so underrated and so often overlooked by the national media but I think he should definetly be in the conversation. I thought he was excellent against Mayo (1-2), Donegal (1-4), Tyrone (0-3) and the replay (0-4). In addition to that his work rate has been massive in every game. The problem is Kerry will probably get a maximum of 2 All Stars in the forwards so it is between Geaney, Clifford, O'Shea and O'Brien for 2 All Stars.

If Dublin only get 7 there will be meltdown on social media.
Any chance of the hockey team or showjumpers getting team of the year. That really drove them spare the last few times.

Our Tyrone friends will be very upset if the championships top scorer, Cathal McShane doesn't get an All-Star at full forward.
Team of the year will depend on the rugby lads in Japan.

SOS Young player of the Year ? Absolutely superb all year, Clifford had his moments too, but Sean O Shea really deserves the award this year for the League & Championship season he's put in. Immense and I hope he doesn't get overlooked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but its 23 and youngerthe main lads for ypoty should be Tom Sullivan is he 23? Shane Ryan 23, Sean o Shea 21, Howard 22,Murchans 22,and Clifford 20, I'd give it to o Shea.
There were 2 lads from Tyrone on it even though they lost the three games against good opposition they played this year odd?
O brien was immense yesterday didn't score but my god did he work hard. Bit like geaney in the first game. There is a strong case in my book for cluxton getting poty him and mcaffrey kept dublin in the only game they looked like looseing. And he didn't put a foot wrong all year.best ever goalie I hope he gets it and then retires!!

Sean o Sé is untouchable as young player of the year. He was consistently brilliant in the league, Sigerson and the Championship. There's no competition imo.

All Stars a funny one but Dubs will be looking for at least 10 with the 5 in a row - what 5 best of the rest?
They look for any reason to exclude fellas E.g. Murphy struggled v Mayo so that's a negative despite the fact that if he missing they lose - going off point but Dgal set up around him and so used to playing that way, impossible to replace, a bit of a Clux in terms of leadership but that counts for nil with All Stars.

Has to be Sean O Shea, as it's a player vote it's hard to predict but he was our talisman all year.

True about Mc Shane for Tyrone. I suppose they will want to give one to an Ulster player and he's the most likely candidate. He had a great year. Michael Murphy not so much.
