County Minor Football Final. East Kerry won by 3-10 to 0-13. Sides were level at the three quarter mark, great football in slippery conditions.

Isnt it amazing the way GAA fans, and sports fans in general, have such short term memories. Not long ago - about 10 weeks to be exact - there were people on here, on local radio and in the national media bemoaning how Kerry let him go and that he would have been to answer to our problems. Then after an under whelming Super 8s campaign he has been forgotten about again. Meanwhile, Kerrys hopes of winning the All Ireland now seem to be on Tommy Walsh's shoulders on the basis of 25 minutes against Tyrone!

Seems Padraig Reidy held Conor Cox comfortably. Will Conor play his club football in Roscommon next year, or will he play in Dublin?

Yesterdays draw will play havoc with the local fixtures - obviously the Co Championship will be delayed. When is the fall back date?
Will round 11 of the league be delayed also (scheduled for next weekend) as county players are supposed to be available to play in the first and last round.

Probably push Rd 11 of County League to 21/22 September. Div 1 of the county league will probably require play-offs and the final...an extra 2 weeks at least...can see that going into 2020.
County championship to start the following weekend 28/29 Sept.
The driving dates will be Munster Club games - Templenoe and Na Gaeil are due to open their campaigns on 10 November, with Kerry's senior representative opening on 17 November.
There are six rounds in the County championship and 28 Sept to 10 Nov is 7 weekends (assuming Templenoe and Na Gaeil divisional sides don't make it to the final)...so replays will screw it all up.
Can the County Board dictate that all games must produce a result on the day?
There is a rule governing Kerry's representative in senior Munster club if the County championship is not completed...the longest standing club still alive will go forward (the senior club competition winner will only represent Kerry if the County championship has been won by a divisional side). Problem there is that one can easily see any of at least 3 clubs in the semi-final...will the County Board pick them out of a hat to go to Munster?
Divisional championships will also be delayed...St. Stephen's Day for North Kerry final anyone?

What is the revised schedule for the County Championship - first round is weekend of 19/20, what is the fixture plan thereafter?
Do draws go to extra time or replays?

What is the revised schedule for the County Championship - first round is weekend of 19/20, what is the fixture plan thereafter? Do draws go to extra time or replays? I would think it would be similar to last year - all first round games to be decided on the day with second rounds taking place the week of 26/27th - winners from round 2 to go to 1/4 finals with round 2 losers playing off against each other.

I understand the format of the competition - I was asking about the scheduling. Kerry representatives for the Munster club championship are scheduled to play their SF on November 17 (away to winner of Cork V Limerick representatives). This suggests the county competition will be over by then. There are six rounds in the county championship and only 8 weekends between the commencement of the competition and the Munster game - this only leaves two "spare" weekends. It will be a very intense period for any team that does well and draws (if any) will be a big problem and could result in a very heavy schedule for any team making it to the final.

County Bye-Laws have guidance in selecting Kerry's representative in the Munster club championship if the county championship is not completed.
It will be the last remaining club side in the county championship.
Might be awkward if county championship is at semi-final stage and three club sides remain...I presume the County Board will pick the club to go forward in Munster out of the Sam Maguire (winter resident at Gavin White's house), since Sam happily caused the delay.

Kerry will be looking at new players from the championship.
Goalkeeper: Mark Kelliher
Backs: Tom Leo O’Sullivan Mike Breen Conor Jordan Michael Foley
Midfielder: John Mark Foley (add Barry Mahony)
Forwards: David Shaw Liam Carey Conor Geaney Donal O’ Sullivan and possibly Conor Keane to that.
That would be some players that have a chance .

They cannot look at Barry Mahony anymore as Feale Rangers are finished and out of competition As for the two Foley's, Shannon Rangers and Kenmare are going to have max 2 games, so not going to be seen much
