I wouldn’t fear any team left . I think it will be us and Cork in the final.

Not only are Kerry the only unbeaten side left, but the other 3 teams have all lost twice - Galway lost to Roscommon and Mayo, Mayo lost to Sligo and Galway and Cork lost to Kerry twice.

Unfortunately that matters for little with the modern day version of championship - all that matters is who is the last man standing. Same with seniors - we could end up with Mayo as senior champions and their two losses in "meaningless games" will be forgotten and count for nothing. I still believe championship should be all about one chance each year....

Cork were the most impressive team in the quarter finals so I also think they are the team to beat. Tall, fast and skillful. A number of injured players back also.

Galway well on top in Minor match. Minors playing poor. Slow to make changes.

Midfield getting a roasting. Backs too far off their men.

Surprised Linehan isnt playing midfield as he always seemed to be playing well and we are way too reliant on Geaney inside. Rest of the forwards dont offer enough threat

Very poor performance . Bench was weak bar Linehan. Surely we have better lads in county. Keeper only one to impress. Cork would hammer them in final

We left game behind us. Forwards very poor.
Hopefully we can get a few backs and keeper from this team

Overall, this is probably the best thing to happen for Kerry at all levels. We'll now have players moving grades to u20 without having a minor medal in their back pocket, without that expectation the 5 previous minor teams had upon moving up. You never know, in the next three years these players could be u20 champions.
For next year's minors the pressure is also off ie. no 7 in a row to achieve & no unbeaten record to protect. In the grand scheme of things as long as we're competitive over the next number of years, no matter how many titles we win or not the production line will continue.

Awful shot selection and effort. Galway very economical with chances. Galway crowded the 21 to 45 and we couldn’t shoot from that far out nor run through them.

So it’s better that they lost? Why didn’t you espouse this theory prior to the game. For the record I’m a traditionalist and would have preferred them to win

Minors got out of jail once or twice in the five in a row sequence and yesterday they just ran out of luck - lost a tight game by one despite hitting the upright twice and their shooting was poor by their standards. They seemed off the pace for much of the game and played a possession game reminiscent of the u20's with a lot of lateral passing. Hard to see past Cork on the weekends performances which makes a mockery of Championship for me - they have lost twice already this season.
We will bemoan the "lost" ticket allocation for September from this defeat as much as not seeing them there.

Disappointing performance from them. Galway are not a great team but we struggled greatly to break down the numbers they got back in defence and we hit an astronomical amount of wides. Poor decision making was also a factor. I agree that Cork will win the final.
Devon Burns and Dylan Geaney are the most promising players from this group.

I thought we were poor on the side line yesterday. I could not understand taking off Lynch and O'Shea who had each scored 3 points from play.

missed this game as i had a game myself beforehand and only arrived into croke park about 3.15 but the consensus was that Kerry kicked this away... 2000 tickets going to galway instead of Kerry

Kerry got 13 points.
By my reckoning 10 came from lads who were subbed off.
None of the subs scored if i recall correctly.
Very strange.
It was an energy less sort of game, a game where Kerry needed someone to put the head down and draw a few frees to settle things.
Surprised Lehihan wasnt brought on earlier.
Cork, Galway, Mayo and Kerry and Dublin were very evenly balanced this year. Galway lost to Mayo by a last minute peno. Dublin could have beaten Mayo. Cork did.
If Cork win it they will be delighted with it along with the u20s.
Kerry started off lookin like they could score goals at will in the first few minutes yestetday ..it went down hill gradually after that.

Dylan Geaney was very greedy yesterday. On at least 4 occasions he kicked from difficult positions when passing it off was a far better option. Linehan should have been brought in far earlier. Kerry got roasted in the midfield in the first half.
Kieran O’Sullivan got a roasting from the Galway number 15 in the first half and they didn’t change him. They were very slow in general making the changes. I don’t think they would have beaten Cork anyway in the final but they won’t get the opportunity now.
The management has to take the blame for yesterday.
