Surprised Joe Linehan dropped to the bench maybe he has picked up a knock or a tactical tweak...
I presume the tickets will be sold at the gate tomorrow does anybody know whether you can buy them this evening before hand or they will only be sold at the gate?

Kerry down 0-06 to 0-03 at ht to Tyrone. Only point from play in the 30th minute. We're not playing sharp enough, very pedestrian, keep carrying the ball into the tackle and Tyrone are swallowing us up. They need to start releasing the ball into the forward line earlier to stand a chance of turning this around. At this point it looks very likely we're going to loose our crown.

Don't know if I've ever seen as many turnovers in one half.

Great response in the 2nd half into the breeze - Lenihan's introduction key along with the red and black cards for Tyrone - well done to team and management.

I was astounded by seeing lads as young as that clearly schooled in the dark arts. Diving, leaving knees in and what not.
Anyway, I think Kerry were superb in the second half. Probably think 6 in a row beyond them as Mayo and Galway both look impressive. But well done to them today!

Credit to Kerry for having the patience to play their way through and out of a very difficult game situation over the course of the 68 minutes or so. Very impressive game intelligence from very young players. Fair play to all involved on the field and on the line.

Kerry much improved in the 2nd half, outscored Tyrone 1-09 to 0-03. Geaney and Jack O Connor very good. I wouldn't be expecting an AI out of this team to be honest, too many basic errors at times but hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

Light emerged from the dark or positivity wins over negativity, write the headlines as you want but another fantastic victory for our Kerry minors and Kerry football in general. These minors showed great courage and confidence to turn it around and cruise home. Glad these boys didn’t have the hearts of rabbits ready to throw in the towel at half time like some on here 😂. Come on the Kingdom! Congrats to all involved.

Great win for us kept plugg8ng away and kicked some nice scores. As for Tyrone well anyone who would send 16/17 oldsout to "play" like that should have a long look in the mirror delighted football won in the end

You don't generally see much of it at underage but Tyrone has always been a different country in that respect. Good to see someone pinged for dropping the knee; it's a particularly nasty tactic and looked like it was on the Kerry player's head too.

So hard to tell at this age really, once they give a good account of themselves that's all that really matters I just hope the seniors make it As well so we can go and support both teams on the same day!

I think we have a very good chance of the 6 in a row. We didn't look as good as we are today as some of our tactics against the mass defence were very naive. We will suit playing a team that will come out and play. It's 2 Connacht teams and 2 Munster teams left. All 4 teams are fairly even but I would still make Kerry favourites. Although I don't think our management are as good as the last 3 years.

Thanks for quick upload Mick.
I cannot see how anyone could say based on today's performance that they won't win the AI. It remains to be seen but no one has cited any team or player that would give credence to their opinion. There was a lot of positives there. I think we will have 2 teams there on the big day.

Thanks for quick upload Mick. I just pasted the link from TG4. I think it gets taken down after a while. Mayo and Dublin had a great struggle with Mayo winning narrowly. I saw the last few minutes and Dublin were very unlucky not to get a winning goal at the end or a penalty.

I didnt say they wont, I said I cant see it on the horizon, and I wasnt encouraged by the display especially in the first half. They didnt look lively and some of the passing was poor. They also took the ball into contact far too often. Keeper saves our bacon. I know they are 17 and sometimes can be inconsistent but compared to previous years I wouldn't be hopeful. I hope to be proved very wrong. Why oh why do Tyrone teams at all levels have to play as they do.

I stayed on for the other games. Make no mistake, Cork are a hugely improved side and a real threat. As to our game, anyone suggesting that those Tyrone players were schooled in underhand tactics is utterly wrong. The foul for the red card was very nasty, but it was the only such incident. Tyrone played smart, very clean and fair, and their tackling without fouling was incredibly skillful. That was a dirty team in the same way that the Order of Malta are a militant organisation.

Although I don't think our management are as good as the last 3 years. I think the management team should be very proud of themselves, with a Plan A, B and C for kickouts, some great support play, lots of cohesion in the forwards, good patience to recycle the ball when there was no free forward, a solid defensive structure that kept the Tyrone team to 3 points in the 2nd half - basically an antithesis to the u20s against Cork. Great 2nd half display by all and I think they have a great chance of another All-Ireland. I was a bit worried beforehand, thinking there might be some symmetry with the 33 consecutive wins getting bookended by 1/4 final defeats to Tyrone, but that was just piseógry and the figure is now 34.

Unusual results from the minor championship - the finalist from Munster and Connaught had a clean sweep over Ulster and Leinster over the weekend. Semi Final pairings see Kerry play Galway and Cork take on Mayo. Presume they will make double headers with the seniors where possible once the senior semi finalists are known after the action next weekend.

Yes but it looked in the first half that they had not prepared at all for what Tyrone would throw at them. They were kicking long ball in to forwards who were surrounded by 3 defenders. We were much a better team than Tyrone but our naive tactics kept them in the game. But maybe I was harsh, apart from that they look well coached. But in fairness PK was an excellent minor manager and will be a hard act to follow!

Hardly that unusual surely four of the biggest football counties(cork and Galway are usually strong underage) winning it just means that this year Munster Well kerry and cork and connacht are the strongest provinces. If you look at it through a longer lens say last 20 years the breakdown of winners by province and finalists it tells it's own story. Winners 1999-2018 1.Ulster 8. Tyrone 4, down 2, Armagh 1,Derry 1 2.Munster 7. Kerry 5 cork 1, tipp 1 3.connacht3. Galway, mayo, rossies 4.Leinster 2. Dublin Meath Beaten finalists 1.connacht 7. Mayo 5, Galway 2 2.Leinster 5. Dublin 3,Meath 2 3.Munster 4. Kerry 2,cork,tipp 4.Ulster 4. Derry 2,Donegal, Tyrone Leinster has for a long time been the poor man at this grade with only 7 final appearances at this grade in 20 years. And only 2 this decade, no Ulster team in semi is a bit of an onomoly alright but they came up against the two best teams at this level over the last 3-4 years in kerry and cork.

The Munster Final was 5 weeks ago and the players went off playing with their clubs and district in the county championship (3 games) since then so maybe that was a factor in the first half display.
In fairness to the management and players, they identified what they were doing wrong and changed things in the 2nd half.
The open spaces in Croke Park will suit our forwards obviously but I also think it could challenge our defence. We coughed up a lot of goal chances in the Munster Final in the big pitch and Devon Burns 2 great saves in the first half yesterday were the difference between winning and losing.

Can only comment on how I saw it personally watching it on TG4 stream but even before the said incidents when Tyrone were on the up & up in the first half there was all too familiar elements on display. Funneling back in numbers, sometimes 14 men behind the ball. Going down holding the face and rolling on the ground I counted on no less than 3 occasions when slight contact was made & nowhere near the chest nevermind face area. Which is disappointing for lads at that age because, as you said, when they did let football do the talking they clearly have skillful players. The big lad in midfield was an awful loss for them. Kerry forwards very classy in second half.
