"sounds like a great competition for the clubs and its good that so many players get to play. “ The County Minor League , in existence for decades, sounds like a great competition !— profound analysis ! . As for the clubs, would suggest that Legion and Rathmore are well able to play on their own in the Championship this year Problem is that going it alone is a 2 year commitment.

Declan Sullivan,Darran Sullivan, Seamus Moynihan all captained kerry to win all irelands because of said system. they would never have gotten that chance if we hadnt the system in place. theres plenty of more examples too.

Cork Meath Tyrone Mayo all good this year Isn't there an All Ireland at u15 and u16 levels now? I know some counties would be split into north and south and other various divisions but it would be interesting to see who won these at this age group all the same. Anyone know?

I am fairly sure when this group were u-15, Kerry South won the ‘All Ireland’, but I think Cork beat them last year (though Cork May have had their strongest 15). Cork will be physically strong and will fancy winning the all Ireland. Meath are a typical Meath team, tough and strong, and Mayo, who we played in a challenge game recently are also very strong. We might be up against it a little this year.

I think it’s like most years . We have good forwards and a good choice . Midfield and Backs not as strong as our forwards.
A few certs for me.
Devon Burns looks our best goalkeeper option. Alan Dineen in a central back position. Midfield doesn’t look strong Dylan Geaney and Cathal O’Beaglaoich in the Forwards.
Cian O’Leary and Joey Nagle are good cornerbacks. Ruairi Doyle and Kieran O’Sullivan and Enda O’Connor in the half back line possibly.
Jack Sheehan O’Beaglaoich and Colin Crowley Geaney Emmet o’Shea and Eoghan Hassett

I think we will have Joe Linehan from Churchill and Cathal O'Beaglaioch from An Ghaeltacht starting with Sean O'Brien from Beaufort on the bench. All 3 are fantastic footballers and they're fine big lads as well. Linehan was on the panel last year while O'Beaglaioch was fantastic for PCD in the Corn Ui Mhuiri and won MOTM in the drawn final if I can remember correctly. Also O'Brien won MOTM in the u16 county final last year playing for Mid Kerry against East Kerry. I agree on our forwards, we have many fantastic forwards. No problems there with the likes of Dylan Geaney, Jack O'Connor, Colin Crowley, Emmet O'Shea, Gearoid Hassett, Eoghan O'Sullivan, Matthew Leslie, Ryan O'Grady, Damien Doherty and more. Possibly we might be a bit short in the backs. I think Oisin Maunsell, Alan Dineen and Kieran O'Sullivan would make a very good full back line. I agree Joey Nagle is good as well but I don't think he is on the panel, he's underage next year anyway. That would leave the likes of Jack Sheehan, Ruari Doyle and Adam Curran for the half back line. This is probably the biggest weakness, I don't see a great centre back, I think all those lads are better wing backs. Jack Sheehan is probably our best shot.

I agree Dineen will go fullback and Kieran O’Sullivan go to 6 . I forgot about Jack O’Connor he will probably go to 11 O’Beaglaoich and Linehan at Midfield.
Maunsell if fit probably one corner.

I understand Jack O’Connor has been named captain for the year. Mid Kerry call I assume as they won u-16 championship last year.

Matthew Leslie got MOTM an the U-16 county final last year scoring 1-12 in that game 1-7 of that total from play. Sean O’Brien was also outstanding in that game. I think they will go with Joe Linehan and Sean O’Brien at midfield. With Crowley at centre forward. Kieran O’Sullivan is probably the best man marker on the panel so not so sure they will play him centre back. Ryan O’Grady is another forward who will push hard for a start along with Cian O’Connor from Kenmare.

Jack O'Connor was selected as team captain by Tim Murphy and the Minor management; it is no longer the choice of the county champions. To answer Mickmack's query, Gearoid Hassett is a son of Adrian Hassett's and a nephew of Mike and Liam.

No. The winner of Kerry v Cork has a home game against the loser of Clare v Tipp. The loser is away to the phase 1 winner.

Lots of good players to pick from. Cork are strong but we should win Munster. Anything is possible after that. I think we should go all the way again.

Meath Mayo and Dublin are strong this year. Also Cork are very strong this year and would definitely fancy their chances at an all Ireland. Having watched this team all the way up in the development squads and travelled to the u16 tournament last year where cork beat us fairly comfortably it would worry me. A win next Tuesday night would put out a massive statement throughout ireland for the year ahead and would do our lads the world of good.
With this team I wouldn’t have as heavy expectations as I had with our previous teams but minor is a funny age and anything can happen and as we have seen in previous years momentum at this grade is a huge thing and if we start well who knows where this team will take us. Hopeful of a long competitive year with an all Ireland at the end of it but at the moment I just see too many counties improving and getting stronger and we don’t seem to have “the player” that we had in previous years like Sean o Shea Clifford and Paul O Shea. But who knows maybe the likes of Geaney or Jack O Connor will step up and be that player for this years team
Hopefully I am proved wrong and it will be another successful year for the Kerry minors

I see what your saying but I think we have the forwards to do damage if they get enough ball. I’m worried about the midfield area .
Dylan Geaney Jack O’Connor Gearóid Hassett Emmet O’Shea Ryan O’Grady Colin O’Connor Cathal O’Beaglaoich Jack Sheehan Eoghan O’Sullivan Colin Crowley .
I think we have enough forwards to do damage .
I would play O’Beaglaoich on the forty get him on the ball and control things . Play Dylan Geaney Jack O’Connor and Gearóid Hassett in close to goal. Colin Crowley and Jack Sheehan on the wings good ball winners and ball carriers and good passers of the ball.
Midfield will be key. For me Joe Linehan and Eoghan O’Sullivan to start and bring Sean O’Brien in later.
Ruairí Doyle is a good attacking wing back but I worry a little on the defensive side . He has pace and skills . Tomás Hanafin might be a better man marker but not as fast . I’m surprised that Enda O’Connor isn’t there he is a good player. Kieran O’Sullivan would be my option for number 6 . Solid player. Adam Curran on the side . Strong player good hands. Tommy Cronin could be a dark horse here. Alan Dineen fullback for sure our best option . Good hands good in the air. Solid. Cian O’Leary is having a good year . Has to come into it for one corner. Oisin Maunsell would be my other corner. Luke Chester Terry Sparling and Colm O’Loinsigh are all guys who can play corner also.
Devon Burns our best option for keeper. Cian Knight good backup . Cian Ring also probably in the mix.
Can’t see many U16s there . Sean Broderick and Aaron O’Sullivan good keepers for 2020. A little surprised Joey Nagle not there this year . Good corner. Cillian O’Sullivan Anthony Kelliher Armin Heinrich Jack Moriarty William Shine and Callum Moriarty all there for next year.
