Would like to see is win this one well, Monaghan have turned us over for the last few years and we owe them one. Definitely we need to start reminding people who we are. We are Kerry the most successful county in the country. Like Dublin at the moment teams need to feel half beaten before they take the field good start in the league so far hopefully a big crowd and a big result Sunday! In both codes

A win here would keep the pressure off the Mayo game in Tralee. Mayo win there could keep the Dubs out of the league final.

Which would we rather/be more beneficial for our young team i think playing Dublin in front of a big patisan crowd in cp would be the best prep we could get.

Win the remaing 3 games would be a serious statement. A crack at Dublin regardless of the result would be far more beneficial than anything we will face in Munster.

Mayo win there could keep the Dubs out of the league final. we only need 3 points to get to final i believe (please correct me if i am wrong). win tomorrow night, then mayo can knock the dubs out by beating us or drawing with us (assuming they win their other 2)....wouldnt be the worse would it?

Don't see what the need is to play Dublin again in the league this year would be. Would be happier to get them with one stone between the eyes in a Croker knockout game later in the summer. All the young players have won minors finals, no need for them to be swinging out of lamp posts in a league final in front of 83000 people, or for that matter being kicked around the street.

Kerry should be looking to beat whoever is in front of them on any given day. A team needs to believe in itself. Wondering if playing the Dubs in the league final is a good or bad thing is a losing mentality. As for the idea that Mayo beating us could be a (tactical) plus, that's just depressing.

I would love to see Jason Foley go toe-to-toe with McManus following him wherever he went for the whole game. However it may be that JF is either not match ready post injury or that he is simply down the pecking order in PKs eyes. All will be revealed in due course. Would much rather see how he fares with an eye to the future rather than for example see how Enright fares on him.
Expect Monaghan will look to overpower Kerry physically so will be interesting to see how we go.

2 more points from the remaining 3 games should see Kerry into the final, bar a seriously freaky set of results given the head-to-head wins over Dublin and Galway. 3 points from the 3 games will definitely see Kerry through.
Monaghan and O'Rourke know well the value of Division 1 football and will be fighting like dogs to hang on to it. They'll also be aware that survival might well come down to score difference so I expect this to be tight all the way to the final whistle.

Very strong team and when you consider fellas still to come back into it. Tadhg Morley must be injured, I presume? Also Killian Spillane must be doing well inside in training to hold his sub spot, even though he didn't really look impressive in the Sigerson games with UCC or when he started with Kerry in this league campaign. Still early days I suppose.

That full forward line is interesting hard to see huge scores there but my god will they be annoying the strenght and height of tommy and the two boys buzzing around all day! Serious competition in the forwards with burns Clifford geaney and jod to return not to mind shaw etc.
Wouldve liked foley to start but i trust pks judgement

Shane Enright didn't do much wrong last weekend, management obviously starting to formulate a team in their head. Good to see players holding their places and the return of Kevin McCarthy to the fold. Crazy that the elongated club season is keeping the Crokes players out of the NFL.

We do lack height/size in defence - Begley, Crowley, Murphy, Tom all on the short/small size.

Surely both could be started in full back line or sherwood to hb ? We have an issue in half back line i think best three hb are white o sullivan and murphy but the three of them cant start together surely?

I like the look of that half forward line.
I cant see it changing much for the rest of the year ...subject to injuries etc of course.

Gavin White is eletric, Burns will do a job, Brosnan and Shaw are future stars, Shane Murphy is also in the squad.

I was talking to a fella who was involved with Dublin set-up. He told me there was an incident outside the dressing room at half time in the Dublin game in Tralee where Eoin Murchan got a box in the puss. They are also meant to be very sore about the row after the game where John Small was disrespected. They want to see us in the league final....its all shaping up nicely. I hope it's a long year ahead of us.
