Will go for Ballymac, Churchill and Keel and if there is going to be a draw this weekend it'll be between Listry and Finuge.

Any reason why this is the only grade that doesn't start with neutral venues?

Either Rd 2 or Rd 3 will be at neutral venues, per announcement on website "For the Junior Championship there will be One Home, One Away and One Neutral Game. Rd 1 will be played in Home Venue of 1st named teams in Rd 1 Draw. Neutral Venues will be used in either Rd 2 or Rd 3 depending on Rd 1 Results." I presume (a dangerous game) that a winner-take-all game in Rd 3, as is the case with Ballyduff and Cromane, will be at a neutral venue. The intermediate championship has Glenflesk hosting John Mitchels in another winner-take-all Rd 3 game...odd that different rules for different grades.

Ballyduff and cromane drew yesterday in group decided Finished level on points They have a place off next week Why ?? I thought groups were decided by head to head ( irrelevant here ) and then points difference Does this apply senior and intermediate also

Results from 13/14 April and look ahead:
Group 1: Annascaul 2-11 Duagh 1-11; Knocknagoshel 1-10 Valentia 1-3. Annascaul and Knocknagoshel on 4 points each, Duagh and Valentia both on 0. Annascaul will host Knocknagoshel and Duagh will host Valentia next.
Group 2: Renard 2-16 Moyvane 1-6; Beale 2-11 Asdee 1-6. Renard on 4 points, Beale and Asdee 2 each, Moyvane on 0. Asdee host Renard and Beale host Moyvane next.
Group 3: Scartaglin 1-5 Castlegregory 1-5; Cordal 1-5 Tarbert 0-8. Scartaglin and Cordal on 3 points, Caslegregory and Tarbert on 1. Rd 3 will be at neutral venues...Scartaglin v Cordal and Castlegregory v Tarbert.
Group 4: Ballyduff 2-3 Cromane 1-6; Ballylongford got a walkover from Tuosist. All games completed in this Group, Ballyduff and Cromane level on 5 points each, Ballylongford on 2 and Tuosist on 0. If they are going to use scoring difference to decide this group, Ballyduff's game against Tuosist should be discarded since Cromane did not get to play Tuosist...this would still leave Ballyduff ahead (+19 to Cromane's +13). Or will there be a play-off, as is indicated on the Cromane twitter page?

It must be galling for Sneem/Derrynane - they were beaten by Tousist in the preliminary round and then Tousist went onto concede two games in the group stages.
Could the county board do something more for these struggling rural clubs like allowing a club to play 13 a side in this competition if they dont have numbers.
Scartaglin vs Cordal wont be one for the feint hearted next week.
Would be a surprise if Annascaul dont win it out although yesterdays result wasnt very convincing for them.

From Saturday:
Group 1: Annascaul 2-15 Knocknagoshel 1-16; Duagh Valentia – concede by Valentia Group 2: Asdee 1-8 Renard 2-21; Beale 3-10 Moyvane 1-8 Group 3: Tarbert 3-16 Castlegregory 0-11; Cordal 2-8 Scartaglin 0-12
Semi-finalists: Annascaul, Renard, Cordal and the winner of Ballyduff/Cromane playoff on Sunday.
By the way, Ballyduff and Cromane playoff because Cromane did not have a game versus Tuosist, which would have impacted scoring difference, assuming they won. County Board decided a playoff is fairest way forward. Can't complain when more games made for players.

IMO teams who give walkovers in championship games shouldn't be left play the following year. Sneem/Derrynane and Kilgarvin both lost perliminary round games and teams in the group they were to play in gave walkovers
