I think Joe Costello for minor position with Sean Geaney and S. Moynihan as selectors. The Kerry Senior backroom team gets tumbs up and I would agree with PK keeping his own tried and tested S&C man as mentioned.

Crowley has also been mentioned but I'm not aware of what experience he has Crowley has done a fair bit of work with the South Kerry development squads the past few years. He was on the line with Jack O'Connor as well this year.

Who has James Costello managed Managed St. Brendans divisional team to an U21 county title about 10 years ago. Aside from that I'm not sure. Involved in development squads for past few years AFAIK. Any manager stand out from the club scene?

Sean the Bawn, Declan O Sull, Pa McCarthy Bawn - anything to our Patrick, wan of our own? Divine protege claiming celestial catch of the day, from the greatest of great Gaelic godfathers, the Paddy Bawn. And so to mhac an spiorad saol will always, the fabled glas-bán-óir extrava-geansaí jersey fall.
Cometh the day, cometh the hour, cometh the man.
Harboured thoughts of historic Kingdom brethren victory, from daylight into dusk to dark, through nostalgic dream to dawn. Embedded and incarnated of the Kerryman's sixth sense of anticipation, in finest happy hour of dawn to dusk, in Ventry hot-bed-rock swell do they spawn.

Would want more achievement than just development squads. Success at a college, club, or division essential. Gary and Declan fit the bill. Seamo too. No more just putting fellas in just because they were great players!

Not have a go just don't remember him with other teams. I have no problem having a lad promoted from the development squads. Especially our development squads that have been successful the last few years. If its not someone that has worked in the minor grade before like Declan or Gary McGrath at college I don't see why we should go for someone that has success at adult level. With the drop to U17 grade theres mor eof a gap between adult and minor than ever. I presume whoever gets it will pull some of the backroom team from last years u16 development squad?

Some managers are coaches some are not. With Kerry in 1997 Seamus McGearailt did a lot of the coaching when paidi was manager

Sean O'Sullivan for me. Seamus Moynihan and Declan O'Sullivan. Vince Cooper and Sean Geaney would be good options as selectors as well.

God help the New Manager whoever is selected - having to follow in the steps of JOC and PK and with a legacy of 5 in a row hanging over him it will be an even more difficult assignment than normal.
Wishing whoever gets it well and hopefully they will not be judged too harshly on here if they dont deliver an AI straight away.

Gary McGrath or Declan o Sullivan would be my preference unless they look to go back for pat o Driscoll I would think the next bainisteoir will come from the development squads. All the talk from the county board chairman in recent months would suggest this. Probably will not be as high profile a job in the long term with the talk of moving the semi finals and finals away from curtain raisers to the senior games.

Some of the names mentioned here have zero experience of managing / coaching young players. It's involves a different skill set.
The next manager has to have come through the development squads system or been very successful at coaching various age grades.
When Kerry ignored those who had done the hard work in favour of big names it has invariably ended in underachievement.

This is juvenile football now as opposed to proper minors. Has less significance in relation to seniors going forward
