The provisional national football league fixtures published in today's Independent look favourable for Kerry with home games v Tyrone, Dublin, Mayo and Monaghan. Away trips to Cavan, Galway and Roscommon complete the fixture list.
ROUND 1.. 27 January.. Tyrone at home
ROUND 2 .. 2 February Cavan away
ROUND 3.. 9 February Dublin at home
ROUND 4.. 23 February Galway away
ROUND 5 2 March Monaghan at home
ROUND 6 16 March Mayo at home
ROUND 7 24 March Roscommon away

So first and last games are on Sunday with the rest Saturday evenings.
Home game under lights v Dublin should be a sell-out.

We need to pick a keeper, centre back, full back and as much of a central 6 as possible- and bloody stick to them.
I'd be happy to stay up once we see clear progress on the above

Kerry need to hit the NFL league hard with the young tigers and let them off. I see they are allow back to collective training on Dec 1st. Plenty of preparation time to hit the ground running in the spring.

Fixtures are PROVISIONAL, so changes are possible.

The Galway game is provisionally fixed for Sunday Feb 24, not the 23rd.
Master fixture list usually comes out some time in early November so the games will be officially fixed then.

I assume the games will alternate between Tralee and Killarney?

Last year the provisional fixtures for the league were announced in the middle of October and were confirmed at the start of November. Be interesting to see when the dates are actually confirmed, given the change in the schedule this year.
The punishment for teams who broke the training camp ban was supposed to be that their first league home game was moved to a neutral venue, so maybe that might affect things somewhat.

I assume the games will alternate between Tralee and Killarney? The Dubs and Mayo games will be under lights in Tralee on Saturday nights. The Tyrone and Monaghan games will be in Killarney on Sundays.

Cavan at the start of Feb in what will prob be horrendous weather sounds almost like the start of a dystopian novel.
Any fan that makes it to Cavan at the start of Feb for a league match should be entitled to a free AI final ticket if we make it. Lads travelling all the way from Kerry should get a free premium.

Its a handy spin for me. Do I still qualify for a prize Me too! Seriously it’s going to be the same for Tyrone supporters traveling to Kerry at the end of January. Is it not possible to take account of this at the planning stage and put these fixtures later. It’s bad enough cancelling matches due to the weather but when supporters are on the road as happened last year it’s unforgivable.

A weekend in Cavan Town does not have the same appeal as a weekend in Killarney for visiting supporters.

of the 8 division 1 teams next year, Kerry, Mayo, Rosscommon and Cavan will have new managements in their first year.
Surely some sort of record

I went there to cavan the last time we played them there and i throughly enjoyed it tbh grand little spin from dublin had a spot of lunch parked right next to the ground. It was a draw and the natives reacted with great joy to the equaliser. You could go to worse places!

Kerry were shocking that day in Cavan.........One of the many poor league performances from that previous era.

Am looking forward to Fortress Stacks. That was some reception we got there the last time! Alot of people apparently heading to Killarney after though, which is a shame for Tralee.
Am surprised the GAC departed with the previous tradition of All Ire Finalists playing again in the first round of the league, was always a great way to start the competition.

Maybe they're heading to Killarney cos they couldn't get accommodation in Tralee like me.
