So you don't have an informed opinion. You are just peddling pre-conceived opinions based on nothing more than prejudice. I don't want Dublin-based refs reffing Dublin matches. Full stop. On that we can agree.

Brolly somehow to managed to blame championship structures for mcstay manhandling the linesman at the weekend. Tomas nodded along.
Kevin is a good guy you see.

The Wise Men took a lot of flak for being so harsh on Poor Malingned Diarmuideen last year after his sideline 'incident' with the linesman. So possibly they're taking a different approach this year.

If the past two weekends' activities have shown anything, it's that, Dublin home games aside, Croke Park should never be used for a Super 8 game again.

It's very possible that even after all the Super 8 games that we'll still end up with the 4 provincial champions in the semis anyway. I expect Donegal to turn over Tyrone.

Ok so Bofey not a happy hunting ground for Tyrone but Donegal are a team in transition in more ways than one.

Even without McBrearty I think Donegal have enough scoring power to give Tyrone trouble. If Eoin Ban Gallagher is missing though that's a big loss to Donegal. Home advantage will be worth a point or two to Donegal.

My concern for the weekend is that the Galway-Monaghan game is going to be a very tight affair (facilitated by our old friend Conor Lane) and if it level with 5 minutes to go, it could end up like the Dublin-Donegal game with one playing keep ball and the other side not bothered to engage them as it suits both teams.
Tyrone-Donegal is difficult to call and there will be very little between them. A draw will be enough for Tyrone and I can see a scenario like the final league game between Donegal and Mayo.
A draw double for these games could be worth a small few euro.

more stats from Dont Foul This covers kickouts that land outside the 45 and are not marks. Out of the 55 of these kickouts Kerry have contested, Kerry have only won 21. Says a world about Kerry's performances in the two Super 8 games so far.

GALWAY GAA are facing into a stunning season climax as the county’s flag-ship teams shoot for All-Ireland glory on multiple fronts, with the Senior, U21 and Minor Hurlers and Senior and Minor Footballers, all aiming for title success.
The County’s Senior Hurlers are facing into a thrilling weekend with a replay against Clare, in a bid to land a place in the 2018 All-Ireland Final and the Footballer’s have already progressed from the Super 8s and will play in the All-Ireland Semi-Final on the weekend on August 11th/12th
The Minor Hurlers have already progressed to the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park on August 19, with the U21 Hurlers making it to the All-Ireland semi-final, not to forget the Minor Footballers making it to the Semi-Finals of the All-Ireland Football Championship.

dunno but i doubt it. Hurling is mainly in South and East Galway. Football in north and west. There are few dual clubs in Galway above juvenile level. However quite a few players play senior hurling with one club and football with another. Daithi Burke has won 2 club football all Ireland's with Corofin and he plays hurling with a neighbouring parish Turloughmore. Alan Keirns is from Clarinbridge which is a hurling parish. He won a senior football all Ireland with Galway in 2001, a senior club football all Ireland with Salthill Knocknacarra and then a senior club all Ireland hurling with Clarinbridge. Damien Comer is a fine hurler who plays intermediate hurling with his club Annaghdown.

I'm convinced this match will have a winner one way or another.

Hats off to Monaghan. 55,000 people.
They maximise what they gave.
One from Monaghan, Donegal and Tyrone in this years final.

Galway will pay dearly for that next Saturday evening! Galway were in the semi final before they played the last "quarter final" game. Surreal situation really. Maybe they have been working towards a semi final with Dublin since they beat Kildare. Time will tell.

Galway have played a very cute game. They had qualified early in fairness and all credit to them for that. They have been working towards a semi with Dublin rather than topping the group and not knowing who they are playing with just a week to go. There’s no way that Galway team were sent out there today to win that match. They are a lot better than what they showed today. Big congrats to Monaghan, fully deserved to get to semi final and now have a great chance of reaching a final!

Today was a better semi final opportunity for Galway than Dublin will be next week.

Maybe its simply that Monaghan were the best team in the group.
I read something that Dermot Malone at CHF got on the ball over 30 times tonight. He was outstanding against Kerry too.
Monaghan were 6 points a better team than Kerry in my opinion.
Galway and Kerry were on a par till the red card swung the game towards Galway as decisively at Kildare's red card swung the game towards Kerry tonight.
