This Tyrone team are alter boys compared to the lads with 3 All Ireland medals. Ricey, Gormley, Mugsy, the McDonnells etc had a nasty streak in them. Of the two teams taking the field tomorrow, Dublin appear to have more in the nasty category mainly at the back, Jack McCaffrey and Cian OSullivan excepted. Granted but the fans are generally decent and you can have a bit of crack with. I've had nothing but negative experiences with Tyrone fans.

Tá an lá mhór linn agus mo mhuinín ag silleadh uaim . I’ve got a bad feeling about this one and I believe if Tyrone run at our full back line the dwindling pace of some will be exploited .
It might just be pre match nerves .
Anyway go raibh maith agaibh for the díospóireacht and repartee throughout the championship . Any forum is just a manifestation of the extent to which the contributors are willing to meaningfully engage and this one nails it !
Up the Dubs!

Looking forward to a great game of FISTBALL today. Hoping to see a bit of everything. Basketball ..plenty handpasses. Soccer...plenty pass backs to the goalkeepers. Rugby....lots of players 4 or 5 in a row (no pun intended) running off the shoulder and throwing (handpassing) the ball to each other. Athletics...Kilkenny running from the Hogan stand side across the pitch to the cusack side several times during the fistball. Comedy....players laughing in the face of their opponents, both very good at that. Skirmishes...lots of sledging resulting in a bit of boxing.
That's what I'm hoping for. Then the powers that be might consider operating on the cancerous tumour in our game of football ....the handpass. Slow down it's progress at least. 2 hand passes and then the ball must be kicked forward..
Hope our Cork man has a good game and won't be saying afterwards" I didn't see it".

Two handpasses and an obligatory kick would actually ha d the impetus back to masses defences . Something has to be done but the implications of any new rule must be considered .

Usual sh*te- soft decision allows Dublin back into and kills Tyrone’s momentum. Might aswell blow it up at this stage- Dublin are an excellent team and if they keep on gettin all the decisions aswell then no one will ever beat them.

Game over at HT, but not in the msnner expected. Kerry would not have got that penalty v Tyrone in a million years. It ruined the contest which is over now.

Lanes performance has been an embarrassment. 2/3 obvious advantages not played.

I disagree- I think if it has been out the field then a free wouldn’t have been given

Penalty or not, its all academic now. The expected gulf in class clearly manifest and if Dublin had to win this game by 20, they simply would. They are miles ahead of the pack and all that remains for this great team now is to prove they are the greatest by winning 5-in-a-row next year. Congrats to all Dublun brethern on the forum.

The amount of small decisions they get- merchan & fitzsimons should have got black cards. Mcmenamin 2 hops but gets a free. It’s the small margins that they keep on getting

After the red card Cluxton had 3 kickouts and found his man each time. Two points ensued.
Tyrone had plenty of chances but didnt have Dublins finishing power.
No Brogan or Dermo or OGara or Andrews today. The gap is widening.

If twas a Dublin v Mayo final tomorrow the country would be agog with excitement I agree with you that it would but that only proves the point of our obsession with the plucky loser. Mayo look better and better when you see how other counties fare against the dubs

Big congrats to Dublin on a serious achievement. It wasn’t so long ago when the perceived wisdom was that back to backs were a near impossibility. Back to back to back now and you’d have to wonder who can stop them.
Well done to Tyrone too today. They gave it their all, their lack in quality up front was their undoing, not a lack of heart or negative tactics.
Kerry need to appoint a manager quickly and devise a plan to get the most out of the undoubted talent we have coming through.

Tyrone deserve a lot of credit for how they tried to attack Dublin.

I think Tyrone showed a lot today to be honest. Def had Dublin troubled for the 1st 20 minutes. Showed how to take Dublin on. I don't know how much of a part Cian O'Sullivan's dodgy hamstring played in this.
Didn't think much of Colm Cavanagh to be honest. For all the talk that the dubs are getting better I actually don't think they are. I think the pack are getting decidely worse.

He has had a tough year on a personal level but he doesn’t really like to bring these things up.

If the build up was subdued then so was the aftermath. Celebration was more muted than previous years, players left the pitch a lot sooner than other years.

Sour grapes question: I understand Bernard Brogan was not on the match day 26, and he played the grand total of 4 minutes’ Championship football this year. Is he now deemed a six time All Ireland winner?

Well its been 7 already, the reality is that they will be up there every year very hard to see who will knock them off their perch most of their brst players are realitively young. Kilkenny, mannion o callaghan, mccaffery, howard, scully, murchan, costello all under 25 with the age profile of the rest they need about 3 or 4 in next 2 years and they are good. Which they will obviously will blue tide indeed.
