Team for the Kildare game named Andrew Barry went from starting CHB to not even being mentioned as an additional squad member. He wasn't great at all vs Kilcummin at the weekend but thats a bit drastic.

From Hoganstand: "The Kingdom must do without four key players as Patrick Clifford and Daniel Daly are both sidelined with ankle injuries, while Andrew Barry and Sean Moloney are unavailable for selection this weekend"

On the premise of playing semi final at Navan yesterday to facilitate Kildare, logic dictates that the final be played in Clones to facilitate Kerry. #Clonesornowhere!!

Kerry 2-13 Galway 2-11 FT Kerry 1-7 Galway 1-6 HT
In fairness, Galway will feel they kicked this one away, posting a raft of bad wides throughout the game, in particular from fairly handy free opportunities.
Paudie Clifford was the star man for Kerry, running the show in the first half from the 40 and scoring a superb goal. Got blocked out of it repeatedly in the second half as a succession of markers were despatched to foul him off the ball. However, he got away with five minutes to go before being fouled for a crucial penalty, which Niall O'Shea converted to put Kerry noses in front again. We had been under the cosh for most of the second half up to then, having been totally cleaned around the middle. Galway pressed for a equaliser in a tense finish, before Kerry broke away and won a vital free, which Thomas Hickey pointed for the insurance score.
Darragh O'Shea had a super game in goal. Galway's Alan Molloy (brother of Kieran? - same man bun) was probably motm, with Clifford a close second.
Good day out in Ennis, even if the crowd was poor - 700 and something. Wasn't really given much publicity, I suppose. Still, that's one AI in the bag anyway.

Thanks for report Southward. Radio Kerry provide a wonderful service but sweet Lord listening to the two lads on the radio is an endurance test. They repeatedly referred to a guy with a ponytail , a guy with white boots , a guy with red boots etc. It looked for while as if we might lose which would have been upsetting after losing the two matches last Sunday. Congratulations to all. Hope it continues on to tomorrow. The journey to Clones is just too far for me. Looking forward to all the reports.

Clifford seemed to be brilliant for the juniors this year putting in a lot of great performances and was close to motm in each game is he good enough for a senior call up next year??

Maybe we'll see a bit of him during the league next year? Maybe another set of brothers can represent kerry at the highest level

This result is getting overlooked. One of the most notable achievements for Kerry. First county to do 4 in a row and also done with 4 pretty different teams as well. In the last 4/5 years the Juniors has proved to be very useful in teams of blooding players. Be a real shame if this was to be the last year of it

Very little publicity around it alright, virtually ignored by mainstream media before and after. I'm surprised more counties don't take an interest to be honest. A chance for fellas to don the county jersey if nothing else, there must be countless Dublin players for instance who will never get a look in. And the standard on Saturday was quite good, an enjoyable game of football.

Moat counties can pick players from senior, Intermediate and junior clubs so would have plenty of lads about 21/22 who you would think would benefit from it. The thing about it is a few Dublin players who have been key in the last few years played when they won the Junior All-Ireland in 2008. Off the top of my head Johnny Copper was on the team

Cooper, Fitzsimmons, O'Gara, Bastick and Darren Daly were on that team.

Lads I don't know much about Kieran Murphy but I heard the lads on Terrace Talk talking about him. He plays in a position that we are in dire need of. I was just wondering if anyone knew a bit about him and do they think he could make the step up to senior next year?
