I think one of Barry and O'Sullivan needs to be dropped off the panel to avoid the momentary confusion seeing their names together always causes me.

1.kelly 2.enright 3foley 4.shanahan 5. Griffin 6.g.crowley 7.murphy 8.barry 9.barry sull 10.burns 11.o shea 12.sob 13.killian spillane 14.clifford 15.geaney
If available thats the team id like to see if dublin have a weakness i think its height in the fb line like to see clifford close to goal. Also i think spillane can only play 13. Put griffin in wing back as i think his physical attributes are needed he is strong and fast put him on kilkenny and tell him empty the tank driving forward as often as he can.then bring p.crowley/begley on.

4pm on Sunday? Is someone having a laugh or what? Suits television maybe.... Just as long as it doesn't suit the supporters, that's the main thing......

Round 5 - Refixed D1 games for Sunday 11th March Galway v Monaghan, Pearse Stadium, Salthill 12.30pm Referee: TBC Kildare v Mayo, St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge, 2.00pm Referee: TBC Dublin v Kerry, Croke Park, 4.00pm Referee: TBC
Looks like a TV schedule to me...
Original Kerry fixture was supposed to be a double header with the Ladies - is this still the case?

I'd like to see us try out a more defensive system. Did Galway no harm the last weekend.
1. Murphy 2. Enright 3. Griffin 4. Shanahan (or Fionn) 5. Crowley 6. Foley 7. O'Beaglaoich 8. J.Barry 9. Barry O'S 10. P.Murphy 11. O'Shea 12. Burns 13. O'Brien 14. P.Geaney 15. Clifford
Have Crowley, Griffin, Foley and Murphy rotate the sweeper role with occasional bombing forward like Dublin do with O'Sullivan, Fenton, McCarthy and Cooper.
They all have decent pace and can all take a challenge while heading forward.
Direct ball to Clifford and Geaney where possible. If Dublin are sitting back have Burns, O'Brien and O'Shea run at pace at the Dublin half backs.
Man to Man- you can forget about it vs the Dubs in Croke Park.

I think it’s a real insult to the people of Kerry to expect them to get into their cars at approx 6pm and head all the way to Kerry in darkness. Think of people from South and West Kerry, it will be 10 or 11pm before they get home if they stop for a bite somewhere. If the Dubs were asked to play in Kerry at 4pm at this time of the year they would kick up some stink and they would be bloody correct, thing is there isn’t a snowballs chance in hell that it would happen. Saying the Gardaí asked for this time change is a crock of dung, this disrespectful decision has TV ratings dripping off it, I’m really annoyed by this and I pray that everyone gets home safely in the increased hazard of night driving.

Exactly, Kerry supporters will have the longest distance to travel I think and on a "school night". It was reported over the weekend as being likley fixed for 2:30pm on Sunday which would be a lot better. But Kerry supporters don't travel don't you know..

the timing of this match beggars belief. It's not that I have to travel a distance because I don't. I had assumed that the 4pm throw in meant there's something on before it but it's a stand alone fixture. Surely someone in fixtures can see how ridiculous it is to be bringing people from all over the country(fans & stewards)for a 4pm match. Much as I hate to say it , it wouldn't happen if it were Dublin travelling to Tralee or Killarney to play.

Full round of the County League on Sunday - good that every club player and supporter at those matches will be able to see the Kerry team afterwards.

I won't be going anyway. 4pm on a Sunday in March are they off their heads? Can't even see it on the box.

This 4pm start reeks of commercialism from Croke Park bending to eir sport who had a purchased right to televise this match.Eir sport could not call the starting time though but Croke Park comes to the aid and feck Kerry travellers. I wonder do these officials (some outgoing) know how long it takes to drive from Croke Park to Tousist,Sneem or Ballyferriter in wintery and dark conditions. These are the same officials that said this week that Croke Park would never bend to commercialism.I think this 4pm start was decided by the CCCC. I think Sky Park or Eir Park is looking more likely.

Pretty bad form by croke park on this. I have no issue with eir but I cannot imagine they are paying the gaa that much for games.

It was scheduled for 12:30pm last Sunday also but only to accommodate the Galway v Limerick hurling game. Nothing to do with Dublin v Kerry.

I don't get all the grumbling about the time of the game. It was originally fixed for 7:30pm so people would have been even later getting home.
Its not ideal but at least now the club supporter can go and watch their team play in the county league on sunday and see this match live on TV. And the club players will get to see the game too, don't forget them.

Buck 02, People have work and kids have school on Monday morning, Saturday games are ones that people generally speaking go to and stay in the particular county for the night if it’s a long haul as they are off on Sunday. This decision was made by Eir Sports and rubber stamped by the weaklings at HQ. If it was on on TG4 itself people could watch the game at home but this crowd couldn’t give a * about supporters making a long journey home in dark conditions.

Are you complaining about the time of the game or the fact the game is on Eir Sport. Cos you seem to suggest it would be OK to have the game at 4pm if it was on tg4.

Because of Eir Sport pre-planned schedules 4pm was the only slot available for them and was then facilitated for them. TG4 I'm sure also has a pre-planned schedule which the station probably couldn't change. It is just very late at this time of the year for the ordinary workingman, children and all schoolgoers to travel this long distance. At least if it was on Sat. night we could stay over or having travelled we would have Sunday to recover.

No I’m complaining about the fact that a pay per view Chanel has not only bought the exclusive right to show our game but it clearly also seems to have gained the upper hand in relation to their right to chose their preferred time of throw in. TG4 is an Irish language and culture channel with exposure in almost every home in Ireland, Eir Sport is strictly a business conglomerate that has little interest in anything other than revenue. An old couple whose hearts quicken when their beloved Kingdom are playing on the box are literally the last thing they think of because they are most unlikely to subscribe to their channel and coupled with this they probably can’t even walk to thier local to encourage them to fork out to see their local club man represent their community and county.

Are TG4 the only ones with the wit to use delayed transmission? Why cant eir do likewise and let game go ahead at 2pm and let kerry fans get the train home afterwards.

Saturday night would have been worse. Not a place to stay due to Rugby match. We should be on motorway for 6, home for 9:30 and League Sunday. Just glad they have discontinued the EIR HD lark.
