Ideally we'll go and win this one. We'd therefore be in a nice comfortable position on 6 points regardless of the result in Croke Park. A defeat against Galway could very well see us in a relegation dog fight. I'm not sure how our young guns would react to the pressures of that scenario. I'd rather see them build up the confidence with a victory in Tralee.

Tom Sullivan is a seriously good footballer and he is getting no mention here! Agreed, lots of half back options in particular We thought we had lots of backs also last year with the u21s but didn't prevent the snap Galway goal early in the game. It is all about developing systems where multiple players can interchange with fluidity now.

Now maybe off point but a topical article in Irish Times today re Tomás playing with Nemo, misses the point though, did they expect an Ó Sé to not play football, moreover as his young lads play with the same club? They even suggest the motive might be to achieve what he couldn't in Kerry - do they not know the difference between correlation and causation?, between say coincidence and motive to me and you!
What is the world coming to?

Sully. By all accounts there is a worrying persentage of the possibility of snow on Sunday, I presume if the game couldn’t be played it would be moved to Fitzgerald Stadium as the stand there does not cast such a definite and prolonged shadow over the field at this time of the year or I’m I incorrect in my assumption regarding the direction both stands face..

When ever there is frost and cold weather Kerry is the mildest county in the country. It is very unlikely that the weather will effect the game.

Jesus I hope you're wrong,I'm booked in a hotel in Tralee, travelling by train so rightly snookered if there's a change. Agree with Kerryexile regarding the temperature in Kerry, always much milder than up my end.

Yes it's great. Pretty much all Kerry games have been covered in one way or another. Team selection will be interesting. Terrace talk rightly very critical of team being named 5 mins before kickoff last Sunday

Slaughtneil vs Nemo is also on at 4pm on Saturday. Nemo could win the AI club. I watched the other semi final last week and the standard was not great. Edit I thought Mick's post only included Sunday's games. I should have known better Mick.

Add in Corn Ui Mhuiri (streamed YouTube Sat 1pm), then Ireland to beat Wales followed by Dubs v Mayo, channel hopping with boxing on RTE2 at 7.30pm Sat, not enough hours in the day!

Very little interest in this game if one was to judge by forum activity? Will there be a big crowd Sunday?

Very little interest in this game if one was to judge by forum activity? Will there be a big crowd Sunday? I suppose at the begining of the league I would have thought that the good games were the away ones and Galway and Kildare at home were not as attractive. Kildare game may well be a dead rubber but I would be interested in Galway as they seem to be on the up but lack consistency in championship. Worth going to see Comer in the flesh and how our new full-back line cope with him. Nearly 11k in Killarney for Donegal on day one so I would expect a big enough home support.

I'll be down in Castlebar the weekend , but very interested in this game. Felt Kerry were going to beat Monaghan in second half last week, but just came up short. Although to be honest I thought Monaghon were very poor as the game wore on . Sean o Shea impresses me every time I see him play. A few nice match ups to look forward to.

Will be interesting to see how Galway shape up. They showed what they were made of v Mayo so I think they will have no great fear of Kerry. When did we last play them in the League? Was it the final game of 2009 League or more recently?

Would imagine it will be sold out with the hurling on too Galway dont bring support anything like say Mayo or Dublin would bring and there is usually only a couple of hundred at Kerry hurling games. It has not been deemed an all-ticket game to date but if the Donegal game is anything to go by, people should buy their tickets in the shops today or tomorrow in case a big crowd turn up on the day.

It should be an interesting game for the young players because Galway usually play football. What happened at the end of the Galway Mayo game is out of character for them.
With home advantage and playing confidently it is an ideal opportunity to start a lot of recent minors. i think they would rise to the occasion. It is essential to pick up the 2 points though so a few of experienced hands should be available.
