Went to watch David Clifford today for Fossa. He scored 3 goals and was very good, but the stand out player of the game was his brother Paudie who was terrific. Bally/Foilmore pit Mark Griffin on him for the second half but Paudie eased past him time after time. Super talent. Beaufort are the team to beat but no one will want a draw against Fossa.

Paudi is 22 I think. Reminds me a bit of Declan o Sullivan the way he carries the ball. Some of the scores he kicked were super.

Horrible injuries to the two Finuge boys today. I suppose that’s the down side to sport. You would have to feel sorry for Maurice Corridon with a bad leg break. Great warrior and club player. Get well soon Maurice.

Na Gaeil are definitely going to be hard to beat. Okenbar is playing with them and also Diarmuid O’Connor is another future Kerry player. I suppose it’s between them and Beaufort realistically.

Beaufort Na Gaeil but no team will want to draw Fossa in the semi finals - they are playing really well this year

What a crass statement considering how the game finished up prematurely. Some people would want to engage their brains before coming on here.

Best wished to the 2 injured guys, terrible luck and hopefully they make a quick recovery

After tipping Ballydonoghue to win their group it now looks they are live contenders to be relegated. Off the back of successive NK championships you would think they should be able to rattle this competition. Tough championship to win

He is a joy to watch and worth the entrance fee alone to see him in action, but he does get a lot of attention of opposing defenders. He is a big young fella and well able to handle what is thrown at him but at times it is difficult to stand out with 2 and maybe 3 players hanging off him. As for Fossa going the distance, they are still a Div 4 team and they would need everything to go their way to catch the Div 1 and 2 teams that remain.

We have a great system in Kerry where players can come up through the schools, club and district system from the smaller clubs. It is surprising other counties don't embrace the district system.

Fellas can delude themselves all they want but standard of competition is low. In the past there were powerful Desmonds (A.I. Club champs), Ballylongford,Tarbert, Moyvane, Beale, Finuge and Listowel teams. Many were capable of playing at high level in Cty comps. Not now. Ballydonoghue have some fine young players but have a long way to go yet.

100% agree - the NK Championship has not been strong for the last 3 or 4 years - The East, Mid and South Kerry Championships have moved ahead in terms of intensity. How many NK Champ teams are in Div 1 or 2 of the Co League - it says a lot.
Ballydonoghue are no where near a Championship winning team currently and the hype around them should be adjusted accordingly.

Not sure - are they not to be played in April as well? Thought Sept was for county championship?
When will the relegation semi finals and finals be played? Same time as the promotion ones I guess?

Yes but Skellig are home to Ballydonoghue - they have 3 points against Ballydonoghue who have little to play for...Can see Skellig winning that - so Churchill will have to beat Listry to qualify

Yes it is looking like Skellig will go through they will best Ballydonoghue at home! But you have two teams fighting it out to go through so that could be a draw my prediction.

Beaufort: 2-12(18) Annascaul 1-11(14) FT Firies 3-13 (22) St Senans 2-7(13) FT
Beaufort top their group, then Firies, then St Senans then Annascaul.
