I think the game of the weekend will be tomorrow evenings encounter between ardfert and John mitchels in my opinion it has all the signs to be a fiery close contest. I was at the same match out in ardfert last year and ardfert really bullied mitchels both physically and mentally resulting in mitchels falling under the pressure on the day but this time around the home advantage is taken away from ardfert which will in my opinion reduce their influence, and their effect on the game may be limited and mitchels football may shine through. I believe it will be a very tight game but this time around I think mitchels might just edge it holding the motivation from last years defeat deep inside Ardfert have pat Driscoll back in charge which certainly gives them extra motivation as we all know how good he is to prepare a team for championship so u can see that standing to Ardfert Yes pat Driscoll is a great man for championship who shows great passion for the ardfert club but what I've seen from mitchels this year has been decent I know they lost their first game vs beaufort but since then they have been improving every week winning the town league vs the town rivals and a good win against Dingle last weekend and on the basis of these wins I think they might just edge it by a point or two

What happened was mitchels player shouldered over the line was a free to the mitchels and the Ardfert players weren't happy with the decision player on the ground and the mitchels waterboy/sub squirted water into the Ardfert players face which sparked a mellee happened right in front of Ardfert dugout was free for all everyone in to just pick out Ardfert players/selectors is sad everyone involved what did pat Driscoll do wrong that no other manager would in the circumstance

The ccc need to look at the amount of players/officials that are allowed on the pitch. I counted 14 team mentors on the sideline for Ardfert in ASP tonight and counted 46 players/ mentors (and children) on the Stacks bench. Not good enough.

I can’t see how 14 mentors standing in a line are all involved in the team. I noted 2 joint managers & 3 selectors in the match programme. The problem lies with the county board for allowing it to happen time after time.I had a full view of the incident & there’s some individuals would want to take a good look at themselves in the mirror without the rose tinted glasses on. Disgusting behaviour wouldn’t come close.

Do brawls happen more frequently when Ardfert are involved in games? I’m sure we all agree throwing punches has no place in the game under any circumstance. Needs to stop before someone gets seriously hurt. well if mitchels started it then you can’t blame ardfert but if both sides were at it then you can’t just blame one team and ardfert must be doing something right from other clubs as they have 3 club all Ireland’s

Mitchels were the better team for long periods and looked in control but Ardfert hung in there and could have snatched the draw. The biggest problem with the game was the refereeing or lack of. He seemed intent on leaving the game go on as long as it took for Ardfert to equalise. They had one final chance in the NINTH minute of added time.

It was a free for all but kicking someone on the ground or anywhere for that matter is inexcusable. Mitchells had a sub sent off who wasn't even playing. A red and a yellow is all that came out of it, madness. Terrible game though some of the football played by both teams was atrocious. Alan O'Donoghue was the difference between the teams.

Was at the Waterville Rangers game down South - poor enough fare on show - Jesus Rangers pale shadow of their former selves - thought they were going in right direction again but one of their supporters pointed out they were missing 7 or 8 from last years team through retirement and injury - they look like they will struggle to keep their intermediate status after this loss. Peter Crowley anonymous also.
Waterville will be happy with this win - they themselves down a lot of players from previous years - however with the Glenflesk result think they will now top the group.

What a brutal performance by Milltown against Brosna went up 1-4 to a point and Brosna leveled it just before half time. I really think Milltowns intermediate status will be tested. They didn’t seem to have a game plan and were very flat very poorly prepared. Big win for Brosna but a brutal performance from Milltown/Castlemaine

I see a number of posts were deleted form Saturday about the John Mitchels v Ardfert game. I wonder will the authorities have the guts to deal with this in the manner they should or will they continue to turn a blind eye. It will probably be the latter.
Spa have started well this year and look likely to have a big say - if they take out Templenoe in the group stage I think they will go on to win it out.

If 2 teams are level on points at the top is the winner of the group decided on head to head or points difference?

Why are posts being deleted Let the CCC get on with its job. If the row is carried on here, the forum will be put into Maintenance Mode for a few days. Plus, I do not know where I stand as a Moderator if someone slanders some one else. So, an element of self preservation is being brought to bear.

When Waterville announced a French speaking manager it looked like a very bad move but Waterville’s chairman has appointed a French interpreter to help communicate with the players it seems to have wokred for them as they haven’t a lost a league or championship game yet. Nice that someone from a European country can adapt his skills to Gaelic football. Are you making a funny? You oul rascal

Hogs head have given Waterville GAA use of there golf course for one day and it is all booked out already 125 euro a man and they have already made 24 thousand from it so I’m sure this will go towards the interpreter. He is not french
