Tipp footballers maintaining their good record against Cork at the moment. Big away win. Not the start the new Cork management were looking for I'd imagine. Was that the first competitive game for Cork in the new Páirc?

For a team like Cork it is a difficult balancing act.
A priority is to get promoted and thereby improve the standard of competitive games while at the same time trying out as many players as possible to fill in for retirements. Tip played with a more experienced team by all accounts.

Great start for John Sugrue and Laois. Is there any Kerry lads playing with London these times? I hear Marcus Mangan (Milltown/Castlemaine) is training with London at least, but only joined them after Christmas. Note London have 7 home games this yearas they had none last year while Ruislip was being done up/renovated/whatever.

Had to travel away for all games last year.

My tips for div 1 this weekend. Mayo, Dublin, Galway, Kildare. If either Kerry or Dgal win then the other should also oblige given the pace of our encounter and that's the way I'd be thinking! Word is McHale Park is heavy so suits younger legs. How Dgal fare v Tribesmen whets appetites for the Ulster Championship and a home venue together with the high scores and expansive football at ASP, and also how that encounter brought both teams on might pay for the shoe leather in staking a double with wan Padraig Power - ah I know I'll be shot but business is business, ach sure we'll all die rich and the cobbler won't be left outa pocket!

One-point wins for Galway up in Donegal and Monaghan in Kildare. That's 4 away wins in Div 1 this weekend.
Bad result for Donegal; they're in a spot of bother now.

At least 1 and quite possibly two of the teams currently on 0 points will still be on 0 after the next round. With a bit of luck we will win in Monaghan and almost be sure of staying in division 1.

'Tis a funny auld world, Dun na nGall quick out of traps, ran us to a point in our favourite home patch and we then beat Mayo away who also lost last years AI final by the minimum to an 'all time greatest' Dublin team - but 'tis a fool who would back against Dgal winning Ulster this year though it was the 3 year plan. Peig was right, is ait an mhac an saol.

McQuillan handed a free to Dublin when Dean Rock arrived on the scene about 10 minutes before the end. Donegal had made a great comeback and could possibly win. Eir showed the whole action sequence in slow motion. There was nothing remotely resembling any kind of an infringement. Sometimes justice cannot be denied. Rock kicked it wide.

If it is Joe that is winning games for the Dubs, according to some guys on here then tis a sad day indeed.
The Dubs are a remarkable outfit. No doubt about that.
But the boys from the Norwest showed that they are far from invincible.
Fenton and Kilkenny have ENGINES...
I think we are manufacturing a few too.
We will need them BUT so will the Dubs.

I have been to 3 Donegal games the year and had planned to take in Croker with our own Monaghan game but auld Neddy the donkey kicked the bucket, or at least he is playing dead and in which case he'd make some some weather man as it was a good few hours after calling the priest that the gritters took to the road up here.
Seriously though, we had heavy rain and strange that ice is now expected. So either Neddy's currency is on the rise or Ulster will wake up to an icing rink.
It was hard to anticipate Dgal contending with the Dubs but I was keen to see Nathan Mullins among others so in a way I missed nothing bar everything.
I had flagged Paddy McBrearty and Nathan Mullins from the Dgal-Armagh encounter and we await to hear why Nathan was curly fingered, moreover right in front of his nouveau adversaries, must have been a v good reason that the team couldn't be reconfigured, I saw him man between the 40s v Armagh and his batteries did the 70+ mins at full power.
Now I wouldn't be wan to talk out of school but just from what I have seen, and after due consideration, Ulster is Dgals to lose this year. Monaghan always compete and while Tyrone will be thereabouts, I sense there are too many good players on the Dgal side and fellas are also coming through. And with that you would have to see them being prominent in Ulster for a while though Bonnar is unproven and so he will be tested as they ascend.
And before yez try to clean out Padraig Power ...................

The ref, all Galway players and Kerry as Regan couldn't play after last week and he would have made sure Mayo won the battle of the wesht. Saint Aidan and Saint Cillian were playing amazing football and not throwing sly digs at all and neither player was trying to get someone sent off by falling over when the ref looked. Can't understand why Mayo players aren't protected by the ref as they are constantly being beaten up and roughhoused and the referees refuse to do anything about it.

Delighted to see the 2 weasel O Connors sent off- they have had that coming for a few years now.
Every time Mayo lose the other team are accused of cynicism- it's getting out of hand at this stage- the county of 1001 excuses.
