That still leaves 2000 tickets floating around somewhere. The Minor Players will all get a certain amount of tickets and the option to buy further tickets. Senior players will be able to buy tickets. Former players will be able to buy tickets. Development Squad coaches will be able to buy a ticket. All County board delegates will be able to buy a ticket.

From what i saw of the Meath v Galway semi final it looks like Galway have a stronger midfield than what Monaghan had. Paul Kelly in particular looks a fine player who played a big part in the goals that turned the game.
Kerry left a good few scores after them v Monaghan. Dan Murphy could have had a goal and a point for example if he had been a bit more clinical.
Kerry might not have the amount of possession they enjoyed v Monaghan in the final so they will have to be more clinical in using it.
Will OBeaghlaoigh start? Will Jack Kennelly start?
I am looking forward to it. It should be a good open game.

I was impressed with the Kerry minor team against Monaghan, above all their team work and character shown. However, this will be a really tough final to win and plenty of character will be needed. This Galway team have shown serious character too and don't know when they are beat and keep coming back. They've been particularly strong in the second half of games. Down to wire this one for me.
The very best of luck to the Kerry minors, Peter Keane and his management team.
Up the Kingdom!!

Some stats ahead of the minor game. Galway have played 7 games (round robin system in Connaught Championship) racking up 16-109 (avg 22.4/game) and conceding 6-67 (avg 12.1/game). Tightest game was a 3 point victory again Mayo. Kerry have played 5 games racking up 8-79 (20.6 avg) and conceding 6.39 (11.4 avg). Kerry have had two tight games with a one point win over Cork and a two point win in the Semi against Monaghan. Galway have scored 4 goals in two of their games but have also failed to score goals in two game (including Clare), whereas Kerry have scored at least one goal in every game (including three against Clare). The old saying is goals win games and if Kerry can keep a tight defense against Galway, they should have a great chance come Sunday.

I think this is going to be a very close encounter.IMO Kerry will have to be at the top of their game to come out of it on top, Galway are probably the best team they will have met.

Without these young men and their predecessors, our last few summers and winters would have been a lot longer and more depressing. They have worn the green and gold with honour and carried themselves with distinction on All Ireland Final days.
Without a few young graduates, not long out of minor, our senior season of 2018 would have imploded in ignominy much earlier than it did.
So thank you to each and every one of them, their families, clubs, teachers, coaches and management teams. Thank you to all of them from 2014 onwards who have brought us to this historic place.
The very best of luck to team and management tomorrow and as ever, safe journey to all of you who are travelling. Ciarrai Abu.

I was so taken by the fortitude and maturity of this particular cohort (especially considering that these are a year younger than their predecessors), that I am really looking forward to seeing them again. Best of luck to them.

In serious trouble here, being cleaned out at midfield. Galway look far superior and our lads look very nervous.

Being murdered on our kickouts. No variation . Galway look a good superior at this juncture. It will take a significant improvement to swing this one our way.

The main problem in the middle third is the oldest problem in the book - picking up the breaks. It should be easy to rectify. Kerry competing well in the air but if not held it is being hovered up by Galway.

How Kerry are only 4 points behind is hard to fathom. Galway had 65% of the possession by the 26th minute. The Kerry keeper doesnt appear to have the option to go short like he had v Monaghan but Monagahan were poor in reality. I wouldnt give up hope just yet as Kerry might get a stranglehold at midfield in the second half.

Our marking is very loose whereas Galway are doing a great job on our lads. Beaten at midfield so must vary kick out.

Considering the merit of the team they were playing , considering that they were seven points down at one stage, and considering they did not score a goal , fluky or otherwise, this must constitute one of Kerry’s greatest ever victories in any grade of football. It was a remarkable transformation in the second half. Players all over the field were unrecognizable from the lads we saw play so tentatively in the first tweny minutes of the game.
The key , as in so many games , was exerting a grip at midfield. Of course , management must take a huge lot of credit. They clearly identified Galway’s key men and then, as Tomas would say, they hammered the hammer. Congratulations to all. It must be said Peter did not do his senior aspirations any harm!
PS . Is the goalie co-captain?

Like two different teams between the first and second halves.
Fantastic comeback. Paul O’Shea, Rahilly, Falvey and Ó Beaglaoích really pulled that out of the fire. Well done lads. And particularly well done to Peter Keane, Tommy Griffin and the rest of the management team.
5-in-row! Incredible given the lack of success we had until recently.

I wonder did Paddy Tally coach them on tactics and which Donegal in '14 minor final also did a lot of damage - though superior footballers we were fortunate to prevail on both occasions and like it or not, we must adopt tactics at all levels. This will also bear on the type of new management we put in place and maybe Jack will have to reconsider his 'bata agus bothair' issue.
I posted this comment elsewhere - Fitzy said it takes time to make men of boys, I wonder what was our average age say v Limerick hurlers? What is the average age of an intercounty performer? Of course if a fella is old enough he is good enough, ala Clifford, but he is not average, thank God!
My point is that our AI minor winning pipeline is now from 23 yrs down so we have many a good day ahead.
Congerats to Peter, Tommy and the backroom, and of course the entire panel. And great to see Ballydonoghue represented by Jack Kennelly. I recall seeing this family of rookies chomping at the bit down the years, on one particular occasion you could sense their anticipation as they awaited their match car, kinda lads that weer counting sleeps to games before that termed was coined. Someone upstairs is a very proud man this afternoon, Alive 'n' kicking! Well done JackK and you can now ask your big brothers how many AI medals they have? Congrats also to Dave and auld Yates herself who'd cast the cold eye!

The word character was mentioned about his team more than once in the build up to the game and boy did we see it in spades from this Kerry minor team. I'm absolutely bursting with pride in those Kerry young fellas, and Peter Keane and his management, please take a massive bow!
5 winning All Ireland minor teams is some achievement! The players, the parents, the clubs, the coaches, the development squads, the district boards and county board – great credit to all! Congratulations to all involved!!
Come on the Kingdom!!

Great win today on the minors again! We got cleaned in the midfoeld in first half but young Falvey got it right in his interview they worked harder on the breaks in the second half and fully deserved the win. After the half time team talk things got much better dign of a good manager

Huge congratulations to Kerry on a fantastic win.
Make no mistake, it was a really tough championship to win this year and these lads did it the hard way. No soft AI this, probably the toughest of the five.
An uplifting day for the county at the end of an otherwise disappointing year. Winter maybe not so long now. Thanks, lads.

This was a massive win against a fine Galway side. They clung on in the first half with little possession but got the last two scores before half time.
Galways subs didnt have the same effect as Kerrys. Galway couldnt handle Ruairi o'B when he came on.
Kerry did much better at midfield in the second half with Sean o Shea playing a big part.
Kerrys score taking was more clinical than Galways and that was the difference.
This is a game worth watching in the winter darkness. Too even sides having a cut at it.
I though the ref was hard on Galway a few times.
No Hogan cup winning side to draw on this year so this is a really great achievement.
Congrats to all and sundry. It warmed the cockles of my heart.

The first one in 14 was tough, plaing against a big donegal team. The one in 15 we were just so much better than everyone i feel, then we had the two clifford teams where we had the best minor ive ever seen. Today was as good ad it got for me 7 points down and they dug it out! The mental fortitude of these young men was evident to any of us that were there in the semi. The futures bright!

How many holders of AI medals do we now have from our successful drive for 5? Tyrone once had holders of 56 that weren't on the senior panel, bearing in mind that some may have more than one, though this year none of ours were on last years panel. 56 must be 3 years so we must have roughly 95, if say 20% come through plus fellas like paul murphy and late developers, the future is bright. The other stat is what is peak age? As I type Clifford and Howard are tipped as Young Player Of The Year Award with Sean Cavanagh thinking that David could also be Footballer of the year after that goal v Monaghan, though in fairness AI champs will the get rub of the green here.
