They'll hardly play the PCD vs Sem game on February 3rd if the Gaeltacht beat Moy this weekend as the AI final is fixed for February 3rd. Jumping ahead a bit I know.

I'm hearing that these semi-finals will be at Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday two weeks time. I must add that there is nothing official so far. If it happens it would be an attractive programme and one not to be missed.

Cracking double header alright but if you go to Castlebar and want to walk the greenway in Westport the follow morning your snookered. Maybe Eir sport or the good Samaritans Sky might visit Killarney!!!

Full time in Ballyvourney CBS The Green 0:10-1:6 Coloiste Choilm
The green into the final for the second year running and will be hoping for a better performance than last year. They were on top throughout the game today and survived a second half scare as the cork side leveled it up with a fine goal with 15 minutes to play. Michael scanlon, Sean quilter and Paudie white all put in great performances. Without the mighty sem team of recent years they could have a strong chance in the final. Favorites will still be whoever wins tomorrow in the Sem PCD game.

Was talking to separate people who were there- by all accounts Ballincollig were extremely cynical and ill disciplined (a nice way of saying something else). They finished with 13 men and that seems to have been due to lenient officials more so than anything else

I always try to be mindful when making comments on underage football especially as some of the lads in action today in Fitzgerald stadium were only 16 and are very impressionable. The Sem played well for the first 15-20 mins and should have stretched their lead but once PCD found their feet St Brendan's struggled to match them. The Sem kicked a lot of high, hopeful balls into their forwards as well as trying to find their men with pinpoint diagonal passes which seldom came off. PCD on the other hand gave excellent supply into their forward line and were far cuter overall holding onto the ball and working their scores. The better team won on the day although the Sem lads never gave up and could have caught Dingle at the death. On this display PCD would have to be favourites over CBS Tralee going into the final.

Yeah PCD's use of the ball when they had possession was better and they will take some stopping in the final. Sem put up a respectable performance but the better team won.

Five starters from Annascaul on the team which is comment-worthy.

Leinster schools final has a novel pairing between Marist Athlone and Naas CBS, both going for their first title. Incredibly, it is the first time a Kildare school has been in the Leinster A final since 1923.

Frewen Cup final (u16 1/2) will be contested by the Sem and Flannans next Wednesday after Flannans beat Clonmel yesterday. Not much talk of the Corn Úi Mhúirí final. PCD were my favourites from the start and I see no reason to change at this stage.

Thanks for the update. I was going to take a detour to Killarney tomorrow.
Let's hope the lad makes a full recovery. Sounds very worrying. Poor fella.

This is very, very sad news for the boy's family, friends and school. We can only support them with our prayers and sympathy at this time.

The green go in as slight underdogs going into this fixture. However I believe C.B.S have enough fire power and drive to get over the line for the first time in 11 years. No doubht about it that Pobalscoil have a class side but I think they are lacking the class of the team 3 and 4 years ago and that’s why I’m going for a win for the green by 3 points
