Counties have lost the plot with the appointment of these outside managers.

Our biggest problem is that anyone with any significant inter county experience wouldn't touch the Offaly job. Even lads with no experience but want to develop there managerial careers won't go near it.
Any feedback on his managerial style? Players man? Open football?
We know very little about him at all.

I doubt it will be open football anyway but only the totally naive do that nowadays.
Defend tenaciously would be first priority.
He is entitled to a shot at inter county management.
My abiding memory is the final minute of the all ireland junior final that Ardfert won. He got tackled heavily in possession near the sideline on the 21......he got treatent for two mins....got up and planted the free between the posts to win the game.

He'll be a good manager- not sure how much exposure he'll get with Offaly or what kind of progress he (or anyone) could make with them.
But he's a good manager who has shown an ability to band a team together at relatively short notice and he, usually, likes to play an attacking game.
I do think he could make a very good manager but it might not be with Offaly as there is a real cap on the potential progress
