Mickey is nearly 10 years without an all Ireland at this stage. Hardly stellar stuff.

Dublin by 6+, Tyrone won't have the quality up front when the pressure comes on.

Inclined to agree with you Jigz84. Tyrone may live with Dublin for a long time but may not be ready for the home straight yet.

Dublin have a great capacity for staying calm down the stretch of a tight game whilst staying under control.
I expect Dublin to be the better side on the day but only win by one or two - after staying calm and under control in a tight match.

Easy to stay calm when Coldrick is the ref

Its obviously difficult to look beyond Dublin and while you can bet that Mickey Harte has had this game in his mind since last winter, so too have Jim Gavin and his band of backroom employees.
We wont know if Dublin have that hunger until it comes down to it. If its a 1 or 2 point game going into the 65 minute maybe Tyrone might just sneak over the line, although this is usually the period when Dublin push on. More probable is that Dublin are 2 or 3 points up with 10 to go and they pick off Tyrone on the break and win by 5 points or so.

Does anyone know that if Diarmuid Connolly gets a yellow card on Sunday will he miss Dublin's next Championship match? If he got a yellow against Carlow or any other team in the Championship he was scheduled to miss their next game.

If Dublin turn up I just can't see Tyrone beating them.

Yeah I agree. Tyrone still unproven at this level especially their forwards.

Statistician , if he gets a black card he will cause it's his third this year.

Statistician , if he gets a black card he will cause it's his third this year. Think that's the rule alright. But there might be an amnesty for AI final? The other thing is that you can appeal any of the black cards when you get to 3. His card v Monaghan was dubious to say the least, no doubt that would be appealed. Is Durkan in danger of missing final? Two reds in a row.

Though I think Dublin have enough to win this game I'm going to throw analysis out the window and state that I have a feeling Tyrone will win, partly because I feel this final is going to be almost set up for Mayo to win, and I've had a weird feeling for a while now that Mayo were going to have a year somehow like Dublin in a very similar situation in 1995, who finally fell over the Vs Tyrone, who weren't considered a top 2 or possibly even 3 team at the start of that year. And although many people put Tyrone ahead of Mayo so far this summer, I think that was always purest fantasy, especially considering Tyrone's record Vs Mayo the last 15 years.
I think this Dublin team are vulnerable to a comeback if they get ahead, where the previous years they generally have always closed out games from a lead in the 2nd half. I think with the changes to the team and the fading of some of the seasoned greats we may not be able to keep it tight like the last two years. And Connolly who can hardly be match ready is a big loss.

I don't think Tyrone are ahead of Mayo.
Tyrone have done absolutely nothing in the All Ireland series to justify their current status.

I can't recall anyone putting this Tyrone side ahead of .
Dublin have a full army ready....MDMA, Costello and Connolly are fit and ready I am told.
Too much to expect Tyrone to overcome that over 76 mins

Dublin are doing to Tyrone what they did to Monaghan.
Nasty assault by Colm Cavanagh....should be a red.

I think Dublin have devised the perfect tactic to beat this anti football defensive system. A man on each endline and play with a sweeper yourself.

No harm to see the blanket being ripped to shreds. Good to see football winning out.

I think Dublin have devised the perfect tactic to beat this anti football defensive system. A man on each endline and play with a sweeper yourself. It helps that they have players all over the place to kick points from 45 yards
