David Gough's reward for some high profile errors in his last championship game is an all expenses paid trip to the Big Apple to ref New York and Sligo this weekend.

Just because he's captain doesn't gaurantee a place on the team sheet he is only joined back with the panel for training yesterday and we have a settled team and better footballers than him there at the moment you can't pick everyone he's not going to do against the dubs with he's slow too relaxed style of football where is he going to fit in?

Reports are circulating that Michael Dara McAuley has suffered a season ending knee injury. Would be a very big loss at midfield for Dublin, although with the guy who started the league final, Ciaran Kilkenny and Paul Flynn able to fill in there its not as if they dont have options.

Shame to hear that. I don't think Dublin will miss him massively but he is a good impact sub.

And the broadcaster will be showing 20 games between June and September - 14 of which they will air exclusively. Among those fixtures is Kilkenny’s likely trip to play Wexford in the Leinster Senior hurling championship semi-finals - a crunch clash between the Cats and Davy Fitzgerald’s resurgent side on Saturday, June 17th. Sky’s summer of GAA coverage ends with All-Ireland football final on September 17th.

Great, Croke Park continue to steer box office Dublin towards exclusive viewing on SKY. A welcome development. The sooner we have a semi-pro game, funded by SKY, the better. Exclusively broadcasting the Super 8 and bankrolled with serious bucks. With a cutting edge Government funded players grants scheme for the selected elite GAA county players to follow in preparation for Gaelic football played at the next level. We keep our elite top young Kerry players in the country and can then happily pay our huge subscription fee to SKY. Happy days, I salute the suits for their vision. No more viewing in crowed tourist destinations required. The game will come alive, however grassroots will probably be spiralling at the clubs. Box office, Dublin, Mayo and Kerry electrifying Croker in a series of highend games each summer. Where are the drug testers, I'll piss into the bottle myself. Long live the Universal Social Charge, or the USC as they termed it.

I still get confused by the arguments here- if you value the game that much then go to watch it- surely? Also the point about feck all games being on in the past is a valid one

Also the point about feck all games being on in the past is a valid one For the love of God we are getting soft in our old age - I agree with Kerrybhoy06, go to the games or listen on the radio. Its not that long ago that the only games broadcast on TV were the AI finals themselves - we think the GAA owes us free access to every inter county game played, they don't. The poor fools who go to the game actually have to pay money to get in the gate in addition to the cost of getting there. I pay €8 to see a club game and I think its €10 to see the county minors and u17's - why do I think I should get to see other games for free? I enjoy watching free games but it is not the end of the world if they are not available to me - we still get a hell of a lot more than we got 10 years ago.

Yes, think that will be close. I think o beaglaoich will challenge however. Yes Brian served his apprenticeship at wing back so I'd move him back into the corner which is his long term position. I'd have Young wing back, Murphy in the half forward line. But like I said that was my predicted team not my favoured team.
