Enjoyable win but I have a sense we made hard work of it and gave Dublin an opportunity to get out of jail which they did not deserve.
Sets us up nicely for the Championship with several players to be added to today's squad making for intense competition for places come the summer.

The belief this win will give us going forward in games against Dublin is invaluable.
The future is bright post-Gooch, but we knew that anyway.
Roll on the Munster Championship.

Commiserations to all the dubs posters on here. Ye lost little in defeat today. For sure it was a whole hearted display from Kerry but Fitzie wont get too carried away with it all. Neither will he let our boys get too carried away either. It goes to show that young legs are what is required for the full match and by God we have that now along with that bit of experience. Moran was massive today but I can only see young Barry improve and improve. Young, Enright and O Donoghue to return with a few U21s will have us in rude health for the summer hopefully. We will enjoy the victory. How sweet it is even if it is ONLY the League. BTW how in the hell did we end up winning the thing? ?? Lol. A strange League for sure. :-)

We are in for an unmerciful hammering if thats our starting 15! Why is Jack Barry not starting? Why is Jonathan Lyme starting? Finishing 15 as important as starting 15! Engage brain before tongue. That is a formidable team and we will get a return here, one way or another, and we will beat Dublin this year
Those match-ups really get the blood pressure on the up, in a funny way (peculiar AND haha!) I'd prefer to be where we are and the Dubs know it is only a matter of time before another 30 year spell kicks in. . Not engaging in 'told you so' as I was more hopeful than thinking we would do it today, anyway we did and hearty congrats to the sweaters and bleeders. What occurred to me watching the game was that with all the competition, what with talk of 25 forwards to choose from, the Dubs may well have suffered burn out, sapped their own energy, I have seen it elsewhere, Vincent O'Brien never put a horse to the limit in training, he reckoned only a limited number of summit blow outs. Good times area a coming, another 30 years of famine and feast!

So Kerry can score more points that Dublin and Kerry won even though Dublin got a goal more than Kerry...very happy to be wrong on that.
Dublin have been having heroic fightbacks recently which always in the first sign of a team past its best. But they can still win the 2017 All Ireland so lets not get carried away.
As for todays game....i havent a clue to be honest...spent most of the second half shakin like a leaf... Getting too old for this lark. Will watch the tape a few times over the coming days

Great game. The score flattered Dublin in a second half dominated by Kerry, Dublin's goal was definitely against the run of play. Really had a watershed moment about it and very glad to have been there. A great core of Kerry support stayed there to see Fionn give a gracious speech and acknowledged his retired club mate. Some titanic performances. Loving the impact Morley is making. I have a good feeling for the summer..........

Well done Kerry, we never wilted after the goal and got there just about. We missed some good chances and it nearly came back to bite us. Dubs still the team to beat later on and "tis' only the league" but we'll take it for sure. We will grow from this.

Enjoyable match and we have come a long way from last years league final. Great tempo all through and manic aggression at times too. Morley, Murphy, Moran, Mikey and Paul Geaney were all terrific at different stages - not to take from the rest who all played their part in a very important victory for both the players and the management. Moran looks to be in 2014 form again. It would be great to get Jamesie back on song too as there will be a day when Paul gets tied up and a second go-to guy in the full fwd line would be a real tonic. All for another day as we rest a little easier tonight with a monkey of sorts off our backs.

Great win for Kerry, it would have been heartbreaking to have lost it after such a fine second half. Dublin goal was against run of play and flattered them really. Only worrying thing is that we nearly let it go after being so dominant for much of second half. The young lads have really made their mark. Shanahan, Morley, Savage, Barry all excellent. Serious pace too. With all the lads still to come in we're assembling a serious panel. EF is a shrewd operator, he's utilized the league perfectly. We need to manage the last ten mins of games better!

Great win for Kerry and I'm delighted to see a few players who were unfairly criticised here play a big part in the victory . Some so called fans seem to just wait for a bad performance before they post .

Good win, a breath of fresh air to see the likes of Gavin Crowley (who did well) come in instead of a predicatable usual face. Kerry cut through them in the 2nd half and really deserved to win. I doubt any Dub fan would deny that we were far better.
But lets not get over excited, winning the nationl league trophy never shortened the winter, today proves we are heading in the right direction and we finally have the intensity and legs to go the full 70 plus minutes that is now required. Mikey Geaney has hit mighty form, Cian O sullivan had to be taken off him, hopefuly he keeps that form going. But all round a huge shift put in by all the panel. Great to see we didnt fold after the goal, it has happened so much in the past. Belief and pride now back in the jersey but we must stay grounded its still only the league after all but a hugely satisfying day all the same.

If you were told that Kerry would win the league before they played Tyrone 7 days ago you would be in convulsions with the laughter. In a way that goal Dublin scored V Monaghan in the dying moments last week was actaully the goal that cost them the league, Irony of the highest order hahah

It was fantastic to see Kerry attacking continuously, kicking the ball, and having a go. It's amazing what a sprinkling of youth can add to a team - no fear and a desire to win. Every one of them played their hearts out today - very proud of them.

Many congrats to all on here, a great game and win. Yis learned the lessons and responded brilliantly to the goal. Must be a huge relief, I know the feeling, though yous only had to wait six years to get it. Yet again Kerry and Dublin produce a classic in Croker, proud to have seen it. That's very gracious, Rashers. Fair play.

Great win by Kerry today.Great to see the likes of Gavin Crowley come on and look completely unfazed by the occasion.
The management team will have some job picking a 26 for the championship when you include those who weren't involved today. The likes of James donoghue,Enright,Young,Johnny buckley,O Brien to come into it along with a number of U21s who will be in contention.

Shaky enough first quarter with an awful lot of stray passes. Terrific performance from then on and Kerry should really have won more comfortably; jammy enough goal brought Dublin back into it. I feared the worst though when McCarthy missed his goal chance. He actually dropped the ball rather than it being blocked; should have just volleyed it altogether, it surely would have been game over.
Terrific and gutsy displays by so many today. Moran got MOTM; I'd say Morley wasn't far behind. Himself, Shanahan and Barry have been huge additions this year. Gavin Crowley wasn't a bit afraid on the big stage today either. Mikey G was surely reading the forum last week.

Could have no complaints today, better and more hungrier team won. Morley and Moran were huge . Fitness wise seemed to be that little bit better. Had we got a draw or sneaked a goal at the end it wouldn't have been deserved. Some really well taken points today and credit where it is due. I genuinely felt after I seen Dublin line up that today was a day where the run would end. Both Managers will have learned a lot from today. Will be interesting come championship if we meet. I'm sort of glad the razzmatazz of this unbeaten run is finished. Some Dublin guys need a break and for others a new focus. Dublin have taken the plaudits for a while now , Kerry deserve all the plaudits this evening. Well done.

I really enjoyed that today. The last few minutes took a few years off my life. Some brilliant peformances all over the park.
Morley has evolved into a collosus. I thought Crowley had his best game in a while. Delighted for Mikey Geaney. He ran the bollix out of himself. A few of the "regulars" might find it hard to get back in the starting 15.
The flag will stay out the front of the house for another day or two here in the capital.

Wasn't today great?
I went from "* no, not again" to "I'm gonna puke, I'm so anxious" to utter joy in last few mins....
Extraordinary!
Delighted for Fitz and players. Great to break the spell! They won't say it or probably won't even consider it but it has to be a great psychological boost going into championship and bigger tests ahead.

On that note and as I alluded to elsewhere, maybe Dubs played their matches in training, burnt themselves out, it was once said that the second best hurling team was the Kilkenny possibles, i.e. the 15 on 15 in Nowlan Park. Ah what a position to be in.

Super win,Just huge hearts from all,Simple game plan Keep 5 up top,1 Sweeper and kick the ball forward!
Kealy was excellent,Full back line,Fionn destroyed Brogan,Shanahan was excellent and we need two Griffin's ! One at Full back and centre back.
Half back line was super,Morley announced himself as a top top no.6,Crowley back to firing on all cylinders with Paul Murphy & Gavin Crowley playing well also
Moran tried his best to emulate Jack O Shea & did it! Jack Barry is going to be a star this summer
Donnacha again excellent,Never seen Mikey play as direct and as an attacker for Kerry,Had a huge influence on the game
Kevin Mc showed well still pretty green at this level but more games will bring him on
Jack Savage and Paul were excellent in the forwards.
Amazing to think that Dublin had 5 subs made before we made our first (Besides the black card sub) in the 60th minute.
Well done to Fitzmaurice and co. today,He got it right and he really needed it..I now can't wait for the summer

Now maybe Moran was MOTM but from the couch Ronan Shanahan arrived today -1st ball he clawed Andrews, 2nd ball he nailed him, 3rd ball Andrews was a beaten docket, delayed substitution, Ronan has a bright future, your typical corner back. To me he marked a milestone today, we won because most of our men won their matchups, I suppose a corner back will stick out and more so v a stalwart like Andrews. Hopefully the paid pundits will analyse the matchups during the week. Now maybe 'twas me but not all of Moran's apparent brilliance was visible from the couch, though he scored the hardest point while missing one of the easiest, still it is very easy to split the posts from the high stool!

Great heart shown, training will be really interesting once the u21s finish up their campaign and the likes of Enright, Young and O Donoghue are back. A long year still ahead and players will come in and out of form, like mickmack it was hard to know what to make of it at times and will require further viewing
