A competitive game is always welcome and preferable to weeks of training. Always learn more from a competitive fixture and the experience will stand to our newer players.
A win would be a welcome bonus and not beyond the bounds of possibilities.

Looking forward to this now, another cracking contest, two counties that really want to go at it in every competition they play. Some performance by Walsh today.

Surely it will be live on tv. Question is what channel. If it's Eir sport there will be many disappointed people in Kerry.

The comments by some "established" contributors here over the past few weeks have been deplorable, unsporting & do not belong on this Kerry forum. - nacrocaigh "I can only see defeat with that team..... What a joke" Team wins by 7 points.
- inchperfect "Poor team.... Mikey Geaney is completely pointless...We need this league to just end" Mikey was one of the top players today
- Kingdomson "Yeah, all very predictable. I’m convinced there's simply NO WAY Mike Geaney would start in a team..." Again, a top player today when given the chance
- lár na páirce "At the end of my tether with Fitzmaurice at this stage" ?? He reaches league final 2 years running, and 2 of last 3 AI finals.
- Aodhan "Seems like Kerry are not too interested in winning this one" Did they look like an uninterested team ?
- Attacking Wing Back "I am seriously beginning to question the management team. We are going backwards if anything" League final 2 years running ....
- kerrygold "Looks like Kerry weren't interested in winning this years league" ??
I could go on and on .... As bluepanther put it, the pessimism is exteme, so also is the euphoria after certain victories. Its the league. One good win doesn't guarantee Sam later in the year. Couple of slip ups in Feb/March doesn't mean much come August The personal vendettas against Mikey Geaney, Donnchadha Walsh, Brendan Keely and others here is uncalled for. The commitment by these lads, who have to get up & go to work monday mornings like us, is huge. I guess these lads have more sense than to be reading this stuff, but their families / colleagues / friends / neighbours do. Many of those mentioned above posting this stuff, and myself included, couldn't kick snow off a rope, and we should keep the personal criticisms to ourselves. By all means make your suggestions, give your opinions, but stop getting carried away. When the sunshines in Fitzg Stadium like it did today, and there's a championship feel in the air, the cream of Kerry will rise and Sam will make his way back where he belongs.

Based on our performances up to that point i was well within my rights to criticise and today's result doesn't change that. We beat a poor Tyrone team today. I wouldnt call myself a pessimist more of a realist. I agree some of the personal criticism of players has been OTT. We will however see how good we really are in the wide open expanses of croke park against the dubs next week.

Somewhat misleading as you did not include my full post and the praise I had for Barry John. If you do find another "negative" post belonging to me regarding Kerry, individual players or management I will send you a blankety blank cheque book and pen.

There is always one idiot that comes on and quotes people after the fact. I didn't see you comment much on the other games or the ones they lost. They beat Tyrone a poor Tyrone that's it. It doesn't take away from some bad performances this year. They are very lucky to be in the Final. We are all well entitled to voice our opinions. You come on the forum and do some pointless quoting do us a favor and stay off it you tool.

I didn't expect us to be here and if I'm being brutally honest with myself after the way we have played this year, I probably didn't want us to be here. But now that we are, I am looking forward to next weekend and the greatest thing about it is that we are so far under the radar that we are almost out of sight. Remember going into the QF in 2009 when everyone including ourselves wrote off the eventual All Ireland winners? It's that again by a factor of ten. So much so that Jim Gavin is desperately trying to talk us up. I disagree that Tyrone were such a bad team yesterday. They put two goals past us and scored 12 points albeit mostly from frees. I spotted Mickey Harte on the field afterwards and I have never seen him so happy. Contrast that with his apology to the Tyrone people the last time we met in Killarney. I was scratching my head about the difference between what I saw yesterday and that in Cavan only a week before. It wasn't just the homebasvantage because God knows that hasn't done us any favours so far. I think it was all down to attitude and if we can bring that same attitude with us next week the Dubs had better watch out or their unbeaten run and their five in a row. Crime Park in April is a different proposition to ASP in March but we are used to playing and winning there. We have won every match there under Fitzmaurice with the important exception of those against Dublin. We no have another chance.
Up the Kingdom!

Dublin were very good towards the end to pull it out of the fire once again yesterday. They never seem know when they are beaten but you'd have wonder how long they can keep turning defeats into victory in that manner? Could be a good chance to get one over n them

Your rant and cherry picking including one part of an uncompleted line from my post taken out of context deserves no response other than to disassociate from another members opinion posted up here about Mickey Geaney over the weekend linked into your offering yesterday evening.

I'll put my cards on the table after the fact- I'm surprised that we won yesterday and I dont think I'm ridiculous in doing so- we have been very inconsistent and it was our first home league win this year!
It was also against what should have been a decent Tyrone team- if you'd asked me to gamble on it then I'd have bet on them to win and with the starting facts- I still would again

Both Enright and Young very doubtful for Sunday according to Fitzmaurice. No word on O'Donoghue.

Well i think that dublin were more than two points better than kerry in the semi final of 2016. The ten minutes before half time covered up a lot.
So have kerry got closer to dublin ... Yes i would say mainly to morans form and finding jack barry. Also kealy seems more comfortable on the kickout. Dublin have had to come from behind a lot recently which is the early sign of a team on the way down from the top.
Jack mccaffrey is a big plus and they have it over kerry in free taking unless we play sheehan.
They have it over us too in point taking ability so we must score two goals more than them to win..
I think the days of dublin bullying kerry might be over...
If coldrick, gough or joe have anything to do with this final i probably wont bother going
