Great programme. Very therapeutic.
I wonder though if all footage of Kerry v Cork in the Munster Semi-final 2000 has been lost. A pivotal game that year and Dara played a pivotal part in it. It does not seem to feature very much when this era is being recalled.

Great programme on one of my favourite Kerry players. He never really got the same recognition as say Declan O'Sullivan even though they were very similar players - great hands, two footed, great vision, scored goals and points, strong and skillful. Highlight was pitchside interviewer asking a beaming DOC after Gaeltacht won the county championship for the first time "Do you think you will go crazy this week with Nemo Rangers coming in 2 weeks time?" Could not make out Dara's answer in Irish but the translation was "Yes!". Dara also gave one of the all time great All Ireland final captain speeches.

I enjoyed that one more than most Laochra Gael programmes. The Gaeltacht story was well woven-in, and the extensive focus on the club scene made it different than most.
The main trouble with the format is it is so short.

An bhfuil cúpla focal agaibh a chairde? - What is 'Lios Dun' as bearla? Is there such a focail gaeilge as 'Dun', i.e. without a fada?
I know I am off point and I will delete post in a short while, can anyone help?

Not sure if the Lios Dún is the name of the Parish as there is no parish called that in the West Kerry Gaeltacht. Might be a local name for the remnants of a local hill fort. There's no townland in Ireland called Lios Dún as far as I know, but there are some around the country that come close.

But there could be a Lios on top of a Dún so it would make sense as geographical feature. That with my very limited grasp of the Gaeilge of course.

You're right. There is Lios there as well on top of a Dún. A ringfort on top of a man made hill. The Bearna (or Bhearna) bit means gap, but other than the usual gap in a ringfort to gain entrance I can't think where the gap is coming from. Not sure why we are discussing place names. Really enjoyed the Dara Ó Cinnéide episode, made even more interesting to me as I know quite a few people around there and some family members of his. Never met Dara himself, but hopefully will some day. Real gentleman on and off the pitch. Always had a weak spot for An Ghaeltacht and they seem to be building again. With Dingle doing exceptionally well nearby and Lispole already winning some silverware this year the west seems certainly awake.
