Mouthwatering or what - need to make it as parochial as possible and intimidating for our honored visitors. Some weekend of sport coming at us with this match, rugby v The auld enemy and r1 of the county league.

Well if we're outnumbered we better be vocal.

Wonder what reception will Philly Mc get. Don't forget the booing and heckling got in croker in his last two games against the dubs

Maybe it's an age thing but Im not a fan of the booing etc, on Saturday evening the Hill broke into "Championes, ole ole ole" early in the second half.To my knowledge nothing was won on Saturday.

Just a mere 7 point win required to see us leapfrog the dubs in the league table!!!!!
Joking aside, great game for Kerry to test their mettle against the top team in the land under lights in front of a packed AS Park.
Can see Dublin getting a warm welcome as League and All Ireland Champions... It would be nice to see Kerry last the pace in this one as all our recent encounters have seen Kerry fade very badly.

Probably. All those soccer antics like the ridiculous songs and the clapping and such has no place in GAA. I saw some Dublin supporters last year asking on forums to turn their back on the game at a certain time during the game because they were unhappy about something. Others seem to think that there is a need for a guy with a megaphone directing the singing and chanting at certain times during the game as if it is were soccer. It's not just Dublin supporters though and certainly not all Dublin supporters. The way GAA supporters should and usually do behave is quite unique to the GAA and it is brilliant to see rival supporters chat before and after the game about players, clap excellent scores even when scored by the opposition, congratulate each other after the game and so on. Whole families go to GAA games and make it a nice weekend and I'm sure there will be plenty of Dublin supporters travelling to Tralee for the game and make it a St. Patrick's weekend in Kerry with the kids. In other sports even the grown up supporters no longer go to the games as they're afraid to get beaten up. When I was living in a shared house in Roermond we had a PSV fan in the house and when playing other teams, even when it would be VVV, MVV or Roda JC, who are closer to Roermond than Eindhoven where PSV are from he had to travel to Eindhoven first to take the supporters train. I worked as a catered in several soccer stadiums in the Netherlands and Belgium and supporters can only travel to games by special trains that go from their home town to the station closest to the opposition's stadium. Some stadiums even have their own train station and otherwise the supporters need to be escorted by a huge police presence to the stadium. Fans need to be segregated and even with all those precautions you still have fans travelling to the rival city with no other purpose but to fight and vandalise. When I lived in Germany it was more or less the same. I hope that never happens in the GAA and that the unique thing the GAA has stays forever. Before anyone accuses me of singling out the Dubs or that I use cliches that aren't true, it is a very small group and the Dubs aren't the only ones, but just as it is creeping into Irish soccer it also seems to creep slowly into football.

Anyway, more importantly what way do people think the team will line out for this one?

Probably similar to the team starting against Roscommon bar a few changes here and there. Sheehan and Brendan hopefully back on the bench and perhaps Darran on instead of Donnchadh.

Maybe they will get lost - probably turn up in Killarney and demand the game is delayed while they find Tralee on the sat navs. It is our home fixture - we bloody well need to make them aware of that and fire our guys to playing the full 70 minutes. Our second half fade outs and the Dubs second half kick on are the big fear for me.

Gough was linesman again last Sunday. He still has not been given a Division 1 game this year. I would love to know the official reasoning behind this.

Dublin released the news almost an hour before Kerry county board did. On twitter that is. Not sure if they announced it elsewhere before that.

Anyone's guess. But I wouldn't be surprised to see a 60/40 or 70/30 split in favour of Dublin. If all their seasons tickets holders are coming it already means they are going to outnumber us.

Sexiest Ui Duic, Regarding earlier post about our games being unique I must say I agree. They are a celebration of our heritage and the amateur nature that invites voluntary community commitment for the collectives good. That good is divided into a number of different parties, the family, the Club and the County involved along with the Irish diaspora who are enabled to link with all that is important and relevant too them.
In the stands of a Gaa game you have people from all of those three collectives hoping and praying for several outcomes, I'm so proud of him, he's doing the club proud and we have supported him and now he is a champion. It's all so close and personal and even in a big city like Dublin that connection is there. Other sports don't have that unique connection to the players,, Your post is correct and right and I hope my kids never have to be escorted into any stadium or arena to support their team or to share with their loved ones the joy of our exhilarating games. Professional sports all too often stir the difference and ignore the similarities for financial and media gain. When old men and little boys wearing different Jerseys shares the same section of the stands of Croke Park we are doing things the right way.
Now let Saturday night week arrive and well horse is not them, after all that's what our people need...
