As I said I'm still not convinced by Kealy, good shot-stopper but his kick-outs and the high ball worries me no end. That said I wouldn't drop him for the Final as Kelly has no game time.

I watched it again tonight. David Moran did a lot right in the game. He got caught for 2 bad turnovers but they were in the Tyrone half. Kicked a bad wide but he had in no way a stinker.
Jon Lyne is a good honest player, talented defending and going forward. He mad a couple bad errors at key times though. Throwing the ball up from sliding that gave McAlliskey their best goal chance. Mind it was perfect storm moment that McAlliskey happened along at pinpoint timing. Unlucky but it was never the right move, ever to play a ball when your body positioning is so compromised and blind sided. He kicked a bad unforced error pass in first half that was turned over and dropped one into Morgan's hands early in second half. He seems a bit too nice. I don't mean to pick on him but I see him as one guy who will be targeted by the opposition for the final. I imagine Lisa Fallon has it all recorded and he's well aware by now. Hope he's motm and it's rammed down my throat

Lyne completely negated Harte, notwithstanding some unforced errors noted. Serious credit due here.
Of far greater concern was the role of Young who took up mindless positions as sweeper and who was completely ineffectual overall.
It is he rather than Lyne that should be looking over his shoulder for the final.
He also gave a really poor kick pass at the death that could have cost us dearly.
Young will do well to hold his place.

Will never forget the class point Lyne kicked against Mayo in the replay last year, one of the best I have ever seen. I thought he did well last sunday and it is hard to get used to the swarm tactics when several Tyrone players surround you in a game. Definately a starter for the final. Killian Young was good going forward but was very sloppy at times which almost cost us. Seems to rest on his laurels too much at times.

Young will do well to hold his place. We'll end up nitpicking here, you're right on Killian's bad pass but he also kicked the pass to Geaney to put us two up. I think Lyne did a good job on Harte without negating him. Harte made first goal chance and Enright felt he needed to take a card to stop Harte later in the game. Don't get me wrong I want Lyne to hold his place, my previous post was triggered by that throw pass sliding on his back. Tyrone should have stuck that, it was the best chance of the game. Would have hurt and as Brolly's crazed aspiring thespian outburst proclaimed 'There's nothing like a goal to gut you'. One thing I always loved about Tyrone, they never doffed the cap to Kerry...' Wtf. Like Kev Keegan in 96. ' I will love it if a goal guts them' Back to the point,Murph kicked a poor kick pass that led to the penalty. Enright threw a brutal unforced hand pass that was turned over. McMenamin 2011 flashes before my eyes. What is common? Messing about with the ball right in front of centre back position which defensively is the area we struggle to protect the most. Gotta learn these lessons.

Hope he's motm and it's rammed down my throat Lyne would have been better to have a Paul OConnell moment and lie on the ball and concede a free than flinging it in the air. Kerry did well defensively overall and they hammered the hammer on Tyrones danger men so its important to flag a good defensive display while pointing up a few crazy lapses. The few examples you cite are things that cant (and are unlikely to be) repeated as throwing the ball in the air like that gives your defence no chance and it was just a lack of composure that prevented Tyrone from goaling.

The mistakes by Lyne,Yong & Murphy shows really how crucial & fatal they can be in todays game. Killian is getting better as a player & it was overconfidence that make him give some bad passes. Murphy & Lyne are still young and last sundays game was intense played in awful conditions but overall their game was good.

Watched the game a few times since Sunday. Eamonn's first priority was to beat Tyrone. What else would it be. Some of the tactics he used were very subtle. None of this was picked up by journalists or people like Moyles. In Eamonn we have a treasure.

I'd remind people of what Tomás said and I think we are over analysing. I'm mad for chatter but we are hurling on the ditch here, appalling conditions and we won, yes there was slips and slides and maybe that we choose to outrun the enemy meant that we'd cough up a lot of errors, but the strategy worked and if we chose Tyrone's strategy then we mightn't have a lot to look forward to. Savour the moment, jazus we are the most fortunate on planet GAA. Our style will be even more effective regardless of who appears before us. Having said all that I believe that Mickey Harte gets 25% more out of what his team is worth and our boys are no fools so they will as always do the right things.
I was chattin' with wan of our own in New York earlier in the week and to relax him I started talking about the league fixtures. At the conclusion of our call he asked me 'are we that sure', and this man has seen more Sams than most of us, all of us!
And Canavan fancies Mayo, good piece in The Indo, Peter is making a name for himself and he was good on Sky, and what he told Mr Small man syndrome to do is also a plus!

He's not a small guy - frail since he gave away a kidney though.

I wouldn't be into the personal insults at all myself. That's more his style.
BTW Wouldn't a Kerry Tyrone rematch in Croker next year be a match to savour.

Whatever about matchups which player mark will mark which player...Eamon stands head and shoulders above all the other managers left in the championship, I don't even think it's close. His tactical awareness and willingness to make the big decisions are unmatched.

To score 18 points against a blanket defence is some achievement. One of my favourite ever wins in Croake Park
