Shannon Rangers v Dingle Dr.Crokes v Mid Kerry.. Who do people see as the two finalists Shannon rangers v crokes. Would be a bad state of affairs for Shannon rangers if they lost to a Dingle outfit who were comprehensively beaten by Ballydonoghue in the Div 1 final.

Hard to see past Shannon Rangers. They have been pretty much everybodys favorite all year. Crokes v Mid Kerry could go either way. Crokes could sneak it. Of course I will be looking at possible Kerry Minors for next year.
Shannon Rangers: Mike Foley Johnny O'Sullivan Michael Heaphy Dara Goulding Darragh Keane Brian Mason
Dingle: Mike Boyle Mark Ashe Niall Geaney
Dr.Crokes: Bily Courtney David Shaw David Naughton Mike Potts
Mid Kerry: Cormac Leane Mike Breen Caoilam Teehan Jamie Clifford Patrick Daly Should be good games

Mid Kerry beat Crokes in a very exciting game. All the best to Mid Kerry. Crokes will be back next year. They have another strong team. Neil Doherty in Goals. David Naughton Mike Potts Mark Fitzgerald Conor Harrington Sean O'Neill in the Backs. Bily Courtney and David Shaw in Midfield. James McAuliffe Brendan Coppinger Jack Griffin Mark O'Shea Mark Hartnett and Josh Fleming in the Forwards. Bring on next year. Should be a good final now though can't wait for it.

Dingle were well worth their 6 point win, Shannon Rangers scored a late consolation goal to give the scoreline a more respectable look. A big reversal of the league defeat to Ballydonoghue (9 of the Ballydonoghue team started for Shannon Rangers). Dingle defended in numbers and Shannon Rangers could not get to grips with this and slow ball gave Dingle ample time to marshal their defense. A Mid Kerry v Dingle final is one few predicted.

Hard to see Dingle being beaten. Mid Kerry did well and Crokes were a bit unlucky but will find it very difficult to cope with Dingle's scoring options. Shannon Rangers big guns were very average today. Tactically Dingle Management were very good whereas Shannon Rangers looked a bit disjointed - had 3 or 4 different defenders as extra player trying to mark Conor Geaney in first half - you would have thought they would should had a game plan in place beforehand with one designated defender in mind. Good football and enjoyable all round.

Sad state for Shannon rangers to lose to a club who 1 of its teams hammered Dingle a few months back.
Ballydonoghue would have had 8 or 9 players on that team, something badly wrong.

Nacrocaigh has every right to be optimistic about crokes chances next year they are almost always there or thereabouts cracking game of football today that went right down to the wire as a mid Kerry supporter delighted we came out the right side of the game, both teams had stand out players but Mike Breen and the introduction of eoin O'Brien at half time probably just about swung it mid Kerry's way

I presume the minor final will be played as curtain raiser to either St. Mary's final or the Legion/SK final ? Any word ?

I think the problem is the Shannon rangers players had the same attitude as and you and thought that just because Ballydonoghue beat Dingle that they would do so easily. Assumption is the mother of all f;;k ups . They didn't take into account that dingle might have massively improved

Dingle beat Mid Kerry 0-10 to 1-4 today in a disappointing minor championship final. The game was played in near perfect conditions and Mid Kerry led for much of the game but Dingle ground out a win in a low scoring game. Both teams had some bad misses early on and the half time score of 1-2 to 0-4 had Mid Kerry in front thanks to a penalty goal and two pointed frees. Dingle were sluggish for much of the game and the match only came to life in the last ten minutes when Dingle scored some good points and Mid Kerry had two goal chances cleared off the line. Congratulations to Dingle who retained the title giving them the Kerry captain nomination for 2016.

There are some collections of medals gone back there. Great to see it and congrats to all involved. Looking forward to seeing them winning county senior championships in the future.

Dingle won the semi final and final ugly........plenty of men behind the ball...frustrating opponents...getting a bit of room for geaney and brosnan to do the scoring....big difference between them and shannon rangers last week and mid Kerry this week was that dingle know how to win and close out tight games.......experience of those schools games last winter was massive..........
great achievement for a club with limited enough numbers..........well do to all involved.........

Everyone I've talked to has mentioned that there doesn't look to be much in the way coming for Dingle/PCD the next 5 years behind this minor bunch so it looks like it will be vital for Dingle to manage this crop prudently. Should be in with a reasonable shout the next few years but no guarantees they will win the big one.

Are Dingle the first club to have won minor championship without beating another club ? Also how many clubs did they knock out altogether , must be around the 30s

Also how many clubs did they knock out altogether , must be around the 30s South Kerry : st micheals foilmore,st Mary's,renard,Waterville, dromid, valentia, skellig rangers, sneem, derrynane. East Kerry :firies, fossa, legion, listry, kilcummin, rathmore, gneeveguilla, glenflesk. Shannon rangers :Ballydonoghue,Beale, asdee, ballylongford, ballyduff, tarbert. Mid Kerry:milltown castlemaine, laune rangers,glenbeigh/glencar,cromane,keel,Beaufort. That's a total of 29 clubs. Some achievement for a team that won division 2 at under 16 level

Any U16 playing minor county championship is in with a fair shout IMO especially in the Districts like East Kerry,Mid Kerry etc

East Kerry won the u16 Championship two years in a row. A lot of them will be there. I like Patrick Daly from Laune Rangers nice footballer. Leane from Milltown is a good keeper also. Both are under next year.

Well they have a chance but I think East Kerry, Shannon Rangers or Dingle will win it. Dingle came out on top with a massive win over three district teams South Kerry,East Kerry,Shannon Rangers and mid kerry.
