I'd say Listry might surprise a few people and give this a good rattle this year. Confidence will be high from finally getting the monkey off their back and winning the Novice last year. What a difference a year makes haha

Listry to follow in Templenoes footsteps, people are saying it will be much harder this year with Listowel, Annascaul dropping to Junior but I dont think it will change much. Glenbeigh will again be there and there abouts but I think we can beat anyone of them on our day. Early prediction Listry to win it. Can't see Listry getting within an ass's roar of the junior title this year. They couldn't put away an average Firies side last year on a fine day in Listry when they game was there for the taking. Too many stronger teams in this championship this year. They won the Novice in '14 but one silly incident could have cost them that final against Lispole. A Listry man dished out a haymaker off the ball and stretched out a Lispole man. Half the stand saw it and his brother was standing next to me. He was sure he was going to walk. Referee didn't see it but one of officials must have as the player in question was given a yellow ( can't understand the logic of yellow in this scenario as he clearly punched a guy) and the game went on. Going down to 14 at that point would surely have cost them the game as it finished with a 1 point win. This ill-discipline is partly why I can't see them pushing on.... The better teams curb this sort of behaviour.
