Jamie O Sullivan Kilcummin to Legion according to Kerryseye. How can this be sanctioned by the county board is beyond me, if the lad was transferring from Waterville but not when the club is an extra 5 mins out the road. Would make legion an even more impressive outfit as he is a player with sublime talents

Does anyone know the reason for the transfer?

Does anyone know the reason for the transfer? Apparently a lot of his friends are playing with Legion and he now resides in Killarney which makes him eligible to transfer- Kilcummin might not be willing to let him go though!

Would you rather lose a player to the game altogether or to another sport rather than see such transfers sanctioned?

Where would this end if silly little reasons like those given ( that's presuming they are the reasons) were to be accepted? FFS how many 18-21 year olds head to Cork, Limerick etc. to go to collage WITH FRIENDS, live their Monday to Friday and still manage to make it home at weekends to tog out for their clubs! Killarney to Kilcummin is hardly a commute to be concerned about.

If wanting to play with your friends is a reason to have a transfer request granted then it's turning into a right farce

Hopefully the county board see scene and stop this much like they did when Daniel Doyle tried to join Strand Road. If someone wants to transfer like this they should have to explain themselves in front of the county board and outline their reasons

I don't think the County Board ever stepped in and stopped any transfer of Doyler to Strand Road, the transfer thing was only talk.

It will absolutely ruin our game because if 1 is aloud transfer then they'll all want to transfer! And its not the small rural clubs like Kilcummin who will benefit from these transfers its the likes of the Crokes and Legion who are already littered with players!

I dont care if there one of the biggest parishes around Kilcummin will tell you themselves they cant afford to lose any player not to mind Jamie Sullivan! They might have the biggest parish in Kerry but that doesnt mean they have the largest pick of players in the county.. Compared to Crokes or Legion!

I hear that Bryan Costello of Austin Stacks has transferred to a Dublin Club. Did he play for Kerry at any grade? Also what position did he play in? Thanks.
