What number is that on the back? Is it 19 or 12?

Is this for real ?? This jersey appears very un imaginative and dull in appearance. Is there any white on it apart from the numbers ??. Once they play well and remain safe while wearing it I don't care but it looks a little stale if I am to be honest..

It's good but I like hoops on the sleeves personally.

Remember in 2011 they had a Navy Blue one for the quarter final against Limerick and changed it for the Semi final against Mayo and changed the crest in 2012 so new jersey. Awful waste to wear a Jersey for only one game!

It would be great if they did not swap and change the jersey so ofter. Maybe if the county board can give an undertaking that it will change the jersey every 2/3 years at lest them we will know when the best or worst time to buy it is!

The jersey they wore v Limerick in 2011 Quarter Final was the same jersey they wore in the 2009 Semi v Meath, a kind of purple/maroon/navy colour, so it did span over 3 seasons. The blue jersey they wore in 2011 Semi v Mayo was a one-off but was far nicer than the current blue version in my opinion.

Launch of the shirt is Sunday, in the Kerry GAA store in Killarney. Sam and Tommy will be there also so could be a nice day for the kiddies.
Have to say, judging by that photo I like it. Nice simple design was badly needed, I wasnt a fan of that wonky hoop on the last shirt at all, also having no collar is a step in the right direction of modernity. Now, let's see what it fits like when it comes out.

It looks like it might suit the more slender amongst us.

Anyone go to the preview in Kerry GAA shop on Sunday? Or anyone find anything about it on a website or something ?

Ah no!!!!!!! I thought we would hold out against the awfulness of the collarless jersey. I think it looks dreadful in sports jerseys. Having to look at that jersey and and not having Declan O'Sullivan to admi.. sorry to look at, its going to be a testing year ......

Hands down our best shirt since 2000 for me. 2009, was decent enough as well.
All the others were poor, particularly our double winning shirt with the baggy sleeves. I really didn't like what they did with the hoop with the last one so I never warmed to it.
They've finally got it right with this one, simple and modern. As good as o'neills can get, because they are fairly poor. That's what happens when you have no credible competition I suppose.

The jersey isn't bad, I just don't understand why they sew the crest onto the jersey, it really takes away from it, the three stripes on the sleeves are sewn on as well

I was told that you can get a number on the jersey for an extra five euro if you order on O Neills website as opposed to buying off the peg in the Outlet Centre. But I dont see it on the interweb just yet.

I've never liked the "new" crest. Probably the main reason why I've not bought a new jersey since '09.
It has the dreaded "designed by committee" look about it.
Other than that I don't like the detail on the back of the neck. Overall I quite like the style of the jersey. I won't miss the collars.

I don't like the idea of the 37 rings at the back, I mean its only small now but if Kerry win again next year, they're gonna have to make 38 rings

I really don't understand why a jersey is such a big deal.
As long as it is green and gold I am happy enough.

It's hard to know for sure if the stripes are sewn on or not. They're sewn on alright, don't understand why. Think the rings are too big and ciarrai placed too low with no need for the white stripes but hey, I'm not the designer!!!!
