Nice to see the transparency in where the tickets actually end up going! If we've got the same allocation, can you imagine the number going to our medal holders. Nice to see who is getting what. And now we know where their function is on... By pure chance I rang the Clyde court yesterday as I only live a stone's throw away... The response I got was that they couldn't divulge that info so I'm assuming it's safe to assume that's where we are?!

And yet they're still saying they don't have enough! Are our clubs definitely only getting 70 each or does anyone know how ours are broken down?
Fair enough but I bought 2 tickets recently for a raffle for a car to support the players fund, so I'm now to contribute towards it again, 2011 from what I remember tickets were 70+10. It was enough. I'm heading up with the missus who I can assure u she has no great interest in football but she is coming along anyway, so it's €180 for 70 mins of football on top of accomadation, travel, grub, few scoops and down days wages from Monday and possibly Tuesday!! That's pricey!. Please god it won't b a draw..
Maybe you should tell her to stay at home and give the ticket to someone who is interested

And €10 on top is asking a bit too much of the long-suffering fan. Isn't that what the Sky/NFL/Garth deals were supposed to do, bring financial reward to the grassroots?

More to the point, anybody have tickets? No, not I. Still entering competitions, pestering friends in faraway counties, praying for divine intervention etc. I was a member of the 5 year scheme in the past but couldn't afford to rejoin again the last time it was offered. Towards the end of my time in it, for example 2011 Final, the quality of tickets given was dire. Would have liked to get the season ticket this year but again finances weren't great at that time so no joy.

I know anybody who formally played Senior or won a senior medal (i'm not 100% which one) with the county hurling and football are entitled to at least on I'm nearly sure it's anyone who played senior championship inter-county for Kerry as opposed to those who solely won a senior medal - if it was just those who won a medal it would be massively harsh on those who soldiered through the famine years for instance. Also I'd say a decent chunk of the allocation to the Kerry County Board has to go to the sponsors.

I'm sure Connie Murphy will get a ticket alright (he probably best fits your description above)

It was actually specifically Connie Murphy I was thinking of - I'm nearly certain I saw him in what was the past Kerry players section at one All-Ireland - there was a fierce cluster of Kerry greats all sitting close together, it was like a who's who of Kerry players - there were also a couple of sons/daughters of former Kerry players I recognised as well. Thing was the seats were no great shakes either - they were decent but they definitely weren't the pick of the bunch. One thing that can be annoying if you are lucky enough to get a ticket to the All-ireland is that the chances of getting tickets together is very tricky. I think the GAA/Croke Park could do more to facilitate official swapping of tickets so people could sit together for the finals - or even in nearby sections or stands, rather than been scattered to the four corners of the ground. You'd think it wouldnt be the most difficult thing in the world to organise online

Another week to go. tickets will surface mid to end next week so don't panic yet. clubs haven't even distributed tickets yet so u d be doing very well to have a ticket secured by now. I cant ever recall missing an all Ireland Kerry were in because of a lack of a ticket. I expect all Kerry fans who are in any connected to the GAA at all to secure a ticket. Tipp and Kilkenny struggled to sell their hurling final allocation

I guess when a medal holder dies the All-Ireland ticket dies with them - a double grievance for the families!

Some Russian hackers have listed 5 million gmail addresses online, so my plan for a ticket is to email everyone on the list and ask for a ticket. 80,000 are Vietnamese so probably won't have much luck there.

Just read T O'Se's latest article.. Tis a fair number of tickets players are entitled to.. I had heard in the past that players got 10 free tickets and were entitled to buy another 10 if they wanted. From what Tomas has said that now seems wrong, it'd be interesting to get a breakdown of where the tickets go.. Don't get me wrong, these lads put in a huge effort, and what ever number of tickets they get, they are well entitled to them.. It just seems the more tickets you give to players the harder it is for them to say no to lads, and the more lads will be asking for tickets (e.g. ah sure, he is getting 30 tickets surely he can give me one! :-) ).. Both Darragh and Tomas seem to highlight the panic for tickets (Darragh brings it up as one of his memories every year in his article), if it is to the fore in their mind enough that they bring it up in an article, it surely is something that bugs players.. The Donegal Co. Board have actually come out and asked fans to stop pestering players. You'd hope it is not something that will distract our lads especially as so many of them are dealing with this for the first time.

The current players won't be happy to hear that TOS reveals they're getting 35 tickets each and more if need be. The best idea is hand then to a relation to handle everything.
PS what are all the players twitter handles again???

Should I Stay or should I go!
Can't decide on the Sunday night in Dublin! Terrible track record since 2005. Whenever I commit to staying we lose. ( except for years v Cork thankfully ) !! 2002? Was fair sick after that alright. The result and that pub round the corner at the top of O'Connell Street!!

Can I make a suggestion to GAA followers. This is my 2nd year as a season ticket holder. You pay 75 euro which entitles you to free entry into all the league games, plus the semis and final if you make it, the club finals on paddys day, and the first round of the championship ...FREE! Your print out or card is scanned at the turnstile, and if you accrue 60% attendance over the year, you are guaranteed a ticket if your team makes it to the all ireland final. This is the lucky situation that i am in now. It saves a hell of a lot of horse trading and sweating on whether you will get a ticket or not. Just saying, be clued in for future years if you are not aware of this yet. Donegal have been allocated about 16000 tickets, which is small considering our minors are in it too. There will be a lot of disappointed people on sunday week, it is the same every year. Pity that everyone that deserves a ticket cant go. But there is another way.... I think it's the way to go .in going to apply next year
